    Its been one month. When are you going to upload the part 2 of this series?

      Man, you are definitely right. I have been having a hellish time dealing with hosting companies these last two weeks. Migrating all 7 sites, then three days later seeing outage issues, so then I migrated them all back and now they're promising me that was a onetime thing and offered a very nice deal to move back. So I will be going through that right now.
      If you are where I am at in that video, then skim through this video and follow the parts where you are at please check out this other tutorial I did - www.androidexplained.com/redmi-note-5-bootloader-unlock/
      For some reason, I didn't have to wait for the unlock process so if you skip to like the 2-minute mark then you'll want to follow those steps because that will be what is needed to unlock the bootloader.
      Very very sorry about the delay of part 2 of this video. I have literally been working from 8am to 10pm with about an hour or two breaks a day (through weekends) just to migrate websites back and forth, setting up proper firewalls for the websites, setting up a great cache solution and then switching AndroidExplained.com to a new theme that is faster, less cluttered and will help people get right to the step by step tutorial (or video guide) that they want.

      So yea. . .there's not much I can do when they claim 15 days but some people are stuck waiting over 2 months - www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-devices-poco-f1-long-bootloader-wait-times/

    Do i have to let the phone plugged in in fasboot mode with the unlock app open for the 15 days? or can i use it normally while i wait?

    • @ExplainingAndroid
      @ExplainingAndroid  5 лет назад

      You can just use the phone like normal until your timer runs out

    hlw sir, is there anyway to bypass the time

    • @ExplainingAndroid
      @ExplainingAndroid  6 лет назад

      Every now and then there are some exploits for certain Xiaomi devices that come out. You can search XDA to see if there is a 'bootloader bypass' or something for your device. But sadly, we have to wait this long when unlocking the bootloader the official (and quite frankly, the safer way).

    i encountered the waiting time as well,it was 35 hours only.but now after 35 hours still couldnt unlock (at 99%) then some chinese notes with english command saying 'unlock again'.can you figure that out?thankss.

    • @ExplainingAndroid
      @ExplainingAndroid  5 лет назад

      If you keep trying to unlock it (like, 5 times in a row), do you still get that error message?
      I'm not familiar with a 35 hour wait time. I've expeirienced 72 hours, 360 hours, 720 hours and 1440 hours

      @ExplainingAndroid  5 лет назад

      Yes, if you unlock (or lock) the bootloader the phone will do a factory reset and you will lose all of your data.

    • @ExplainingAndroid

      Do a Google search for software called PC Mi Suite (I think). It will let you backup some very basic data (photos, videos, contacts, etc.) and then you will be able to use the same software to restore that after you have unlocked the bootloader
