Polina must come from another universe! I am really speechless! I guess I have never listened to such an extraordinary brilliant Beethoven with so much passion, fire, energy, clearness, deepness, softness and suffering... Beethoven would feel very honoured! Polina is for me an outstanding pianist - incredible how gifted she is, this is musicality on its highest level! Thank you for this heart touching play!!!
I am delighted she is on this planet, she is everything I delight in Russia, I admire, respect her for much more than her splendour as a musician. In a world in turmoil because of the worst of humanity she is a beacon of Optimism and solace
Let us show appreciation and gratitude by solidarity with Polina Osetinskaya. She is one of my heroines. In view of this performance can I make a plea for opportunity to hear her performances of The Diabelli Variations and the last sonatas of Beethoven. It is a scandal that this musician should be obstructed by mere politicians. The task of politicians is to create the most embracing conditions for Liberty. Health, Liberty, Education, and Culture are the only principles which should occupy politics. The opportunity for as many as possible to hear her play and all like her is the the only universal principle that need occupy any politician. What do they know of politics who only politics know?
Thank you for your beautiful performances. It would be so wonderful to hear studio recordings of your music (the live performances are exquisite and my question is simply to be able to hear the detail of your technique). Hugely inspiring for audiences in the western world to hear your music. Thank you again💚
Not really. Certainly not in her own country. But she is not so applause-hungry as bling-bling performers like Lang Lang or Yuja Wang. This former child prodigy mainly performs in Russia.
@@hdholl9696 in her own country too. You can't imagine which pianists get standing ovations in Russia, and she plays 1-2 solo recitals for season ( in the best case).
She is not underrated at all. She simply chooses where to play, and is consequently very much loved and appreciated wherever she does so. I listened to her accompanying Maxim Vengerov in Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” sonata, and both of them were spectacular.
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, Op. 13 “Pathétique” [1:13] I. Grave - Allegro di molto e con brio [9:55] II. Adagio cantabile [15:22] III. Rondo. Allegro Serge Prokofiev (1891-1953) Piano Sonata No. 7 in B flat major, Op. 83 [21:16] I. Allegro inquieto - Andantino [28:35] II. Andante caloroso [35:09] III. Precipitato
She's good, but the delays between notes and super softness of keys was aggravating me. I been listening to beethoven since a kid and though some parts with the first movement were awesome, others failed expectations. Just some feedback to help on your blessed journey.
Osetinskaya is a brilliant pianist. Unfortunately the sound in this video is, for me, extremely reverberant and consequently unpleasant. But I can still hear and see how wonderfully well she interprets and plays the Pathetique sonata. Couldn’t listen to the Prokofiev because of the poor sound. How can recording experts allow this to happen?
You want to clap while watching alone from home on you tube. Real Recital!! Bravo
Polina sei grande!
thank you. Polina

Mindblowing!
Amazing n stunning!
superb!
I have never heard Beethoven's Pathétique played with such intensity. Great interpretation! Makes you overlook the less than optimal sound quality.
It is intense to the point of vulgarity. Emotionally on one level.
Totally underrated pianist!!!

I don´t think so.

Brilliant, touching, passionate, with just a hint of Jerry Lee Lewis...
I don't know any musician who can play this Beethoven sonata. Except for this one woman.

She is a beautyful old lady
Oh you must be very young, I wouldn't regard 45 an old lady 🙂but I agree with you, Ms. Osetinskaya is a real beauty.
Old? She is middle-aged.......in her forties!

Sonata in do minore OP. 13, non op. 1......................................

True story :))
