The indices are actually polished all of the way not just half. They look that way however because if you look close they are actually multi-angle. Just beautiful all around my wife gave me this one yesterday for my 39th birthday and I'm very happy 😊
What cheeses me off about watches sometimes is having to change out the bracelet/strap on an otherwise perfectly good timepiece. I'd gladly pay a bit more up front for good quality instead of having to spend an additional $50-$75 or more on something on my wrist I actually like. I'll admit that I have two watches in particular that I enjoy far more now that I've changed out the straps: the Orient field watch that I'd mentioned in that review, and my Seiko 5 (SNKL23J1) that had a hollow SS bracelet and now sports a very nice tan leather strap that to me sets off the black dial very well. I've actually had my eye on a Presage since I can't afford a Grand Seiko yet--lol. Great work, and thanks...
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it. As for your point about the straps, I agree for the most part. I don't really mind changing the bracelet / strap, but I'd rather it come with one that I'll like.
Yeah especially in the last 5 years it seems - watch brands are really starting to become competitive with dial / finishing types and some incredible stuff is coming out.
The watch is Japanese made therefore the watch band closes in the opposite direction, leaving the pointy side inward, in Japan using the pointy side on the outside of the wrist is considered disrespectful .
That's a personal aesthetic thing. Depends on what YOU like. If you're asking about brand, Hirsch makes some excellent straps. There are plenty of great brands out there though.
That's not how a review channel works. If I bought every watch people asked me to review, I'd go broke. Somebody has to send one in to be borrowed for review then sent back. It's kind of presumptuous to want somebody's opinion on a watch, and on top of them writing a review / filming a review / editing and posting a review, you also expect that person to spend money too. I have no problem doing the work for you, but I'm not going to spend money on review material.
I fell in love at a first sight with this time piece! I've been looking for a brown one to complete my collections and this one conquer my mind..

I never said the indices are half polished. I said the HANDS are - and the hands on this example are absolutely only polished on one side.

So many spectacular dials: Herring bone, hemp, basket, gilloche and sun burst are all incredible!

Nice watch Rosemary, almost bought the blue version myself but ended up with a SARX045
Having the strap pointing to the 0600hr is sekio's signature its a very nice unique feature
It's not incorrect, but it's not their signature. I own other Seikos with straps and they did not come mounted that way.
Cant argue that it's not a beautiful watch. Definitely adding that to my "To Buy" list.
Nice!

What strap would you recommend?

Thanks Matt! Much appreciated. More on the way soon!
pls. review SARY134
If somebody sends it in, I'll review it.
Should I Time This? Not enough merit to entice you buy it on your own?

What size is your wrist
7 inches
Seiko ruined it with hardlex.
It's not really slim
Are you kidding? Have you worn one? It's extremely slim. It's no bulgari octo finissimo, but it's slim.
