A new animated film of this should be made. This was really good.
I've watched the Original Heavy Metal Movie from 1981 and that got me excited for this series
Great trailer, great voiceover, great music! And it's a solid story too! I didn't quite understanding the re-imagining of some of the events in the film, but the story was so good I didn't care.
When I saw the Heavy Metal film for the first time, Taarna impressed and excited me the most. I had to wait 40 years before I could read a Taarna comic book. I don't have another 40 years to wait for a new Taarna film !
Love me some Taarna. Bring it on the BIG screen!
WHERE is the next Taarna animation? Seriously. It could be an anthology where each segment is a different universe.

This definitely should be an animated movie in 2D form. Bring back animation back to its rightful place. Maybe someone like Powerhouse Animation should do this (Even though I wasn't crazy about MOTU: Revelation, the animation was amazing). Get someone (from a fan's point of view) like Catherine or Jason Reitman involved with the project to honor their Dad's legacy with Taarna's story because he also produced the original film back in 1981.
Soundtrack I would love to see have it pounding and down to the bone. Ranging from the Dio-era of Black Sabbath, Within Temptation, Stevie Nicks, Blind Guardian, After Forever, Blue Oyster Cult, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep, VOIVOD, and Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow.
Voice of Taarna (you may disagree with me on this); probably someone like; Jennifer Hale, Cissy Jones, Laura Bailey, or Courtenay Taylor to give Taarna justice.
But this should be an animated movie, not a live-action one.

Great series of six issues. Still preferred the original 4 but it was solid overall and great cosmic inspiring art. Feel free to disagree but was not a fan of how much Taarna spoke cus in the movie and her first 4 issues i really felt her actions spoke for her which made her more memorable in those comics. Not at all a bad 6 issue run for an intro series to introduce her to a new crowd but I had some personal qualms and surprisingly non of it was her full body armor but just narrative stuff and her "sidekick".
