I just purchased another couple of these with the controller for well under the street value. With the low frequency output of the controller set to sum and going to a couple of inexpensive 12" sub woofers, these thing kicks @#$. These things can rival more expensive systems. I am so glad I didn't listen to a lot of BOSE bashers. Every time I do my DJ gigs, all I can hear are good compliments about my sound system.
Bose 802 actually sound fine. A lot of conventional PA speakers will out-punch them, but the conventional speakers are also larger and suffer from horn "honk" or "hash", while the 802s have a smooth, inoffensive sound.
Great speakers for the right application! Moderate volume (good for most applications) with good dynamic range, waterproof and they bounce!! All good! I like ‘em!
The right speaker for the right application.Bose tries to cover all events but not quite got there.Their accelize heal is low spl but at piano vocal freq's they have +12db up hence outdoor production is good. Think mrk 1v is out now??? 2021
