I don’t recommend the adhesive, you can see the stick through the transparent cover, it stays on just fine without it

Technically yes it can do damage to your screen if the keyboard cover isn’t thin enough. Your laptop just needs to close all the way to avoid damage

Or for money sake and you don’t want to buy a thinner keyboard cover just take the cover off when you aren’t using the laptop. The cover DOES NOT ruin ventilation it can only damage the laptop by not closing it properly when not using it
