    Thank you, Leah!! This is immensely helpful. Like others said, other videos I watched didn't show the clips use and involved drilling holes, etc. And none showed how to do it from under the sink. I really think I can do this now! I don't know why it took me so long to come to your channel. This should have been my first stop.

    Thank you very much for posting this video. I spent an afternoon installing a new stainless sink and when it came time to install the adjustable sink mounts, I was lost on how the clips actually worked, or fit to the rails. I had a friend who was helping me, and he didn't know either, so we found your video, and we got the sink in flush and square. We would not have been able to install the sink without this video. I wanted to let you know this. Thank you, again!

    Thank you - ya know, sometimes an instructional video isn't exactly what you were looking for but this is PERFECT. I noticed that after installers left, there was a gap around sink and clips in a dish under my sink. I had a general idea of how they worked, but couldn't for the life of me figure out exactly how they went in, as you said, it's not intuitive. Anyway - thanks for sharing.

      seejanedrill , I gave it another shot last night and discovered that my sink has single channels, not double. The head of the screw can’t slide into my tracks. Do you know of any other clip style that would work for me? The track is more of a single rail j hook style.

    Thanks Lea for sharing. I bought a used stainless sink that came with no clamps. I’ve tried different style clamps but none worked. Another problem I have is the sink in bowed. But you putting plumbers putty around the sink gave me the idea how to fill in the gap caused by the bowed. My sink has different track than your sink for the clamps. I’m gonna go to a plumbing supply store to see if they can help me out getting the correct clamps.

    Sinks clips are a pain... a good plumber passed on a tip... a 10-24 hex head bolt and nut fits in these...use a nut driver to finish off...save the frustration trying to get your flat head screwdriver in there... also used 10-24 couplers, rod and brackets on the "ornery" front of the sink... good job...good videos...glad I found you!

    what about using silicon under the sink rather then plumbers putty? will this achieve the same results?

  • @SnwBrdFrvr
    @SnwBrdFrvr 7 лет назад

    I have a question. My laminate countertops are bowed/warped. I was originally going to use a fiberglass sink but it doesn't use clips. It just sits on a bead of silicone. If I use that I will have to try and sand it to the valley. My question is are these clips pretty strong? Do you think it will suck the valley up to the sink? I tried screwing the the countertop down to the cabinets but the screws just tear apart the particle board tops. I'm trying to decide if I should exchange the fiberglass for a stainless sink with these clamps or just try to shave the fiberglass sink.

    • @seejanedrill
      @seejanedrill  7 лет назад +1

      It's possible that the clips will suck up the distance between the counter top and the sink itself, because they cover more surface area than a screw, and the contact point is distributed more evenly. So it may work.

  • @JB-pb9xv

    The problem I'm having, is when a sink doesn't have any tracks or lip to even use these kind of clips. In fact even if it DID, I've only got 1 side that has a usable lip of the counter top. An it's a copper sink + counter top. So idk if the only option is gluing and/or siliconing it.

    How can I install a sink with no rails

  • @atfkao
    @atfkao 3 года назад

    I appreciate the tutorial on how to use the sink clips, but I wouldn't recommend using plumbers putty. I followed this video when installing a sink on a new granite countertop and the putty left an oil stain around the hole of the counter. Nothing I've tried has gotten rid of the stain. I think silicone would be a safer alternative.
