I did cisco CCNA way back in 2008 but I kind of withdrew for several years( I was not practicing ) ...Am confident that this tutorials will act as a refresher course to me.....I really want to understand computer networks and have them at my fingertips

My 1st initial try using Packet tracer as I am gearing my mind up for the CCNA test headed into November. Your explanation & breakdown is so thorough & detailed I feel like when I get to the end of these videos my knowledge & familiarity with the virtual software of cisco packet tracer will be on another level! I have my network + cert already yet, still need a lot of training on designing networks. Thanks this is just my beginning!

I need help to log-on to Packet Tracer please, it keeps on failing. It appears to authenticate my Cisco log-in, but, the NetAcad/ Legacy NetAcad page stay on screen, if I close that (the only option), then there is the Cisco Packet Tracer main sign in page (Networking Academy or Skills for All), both sat above Packet Tracer. Then if you close that too, you can see the Packet Tracer interface, but then the application always (for me) says: Login Failed. Cisco Packet Tracer is shutting down. Is there a fix for this please? In my packet tracer, if I force speed and duplex between a switch and router as Speed=1000 and duplex=full, the protocol and status columns are showing down/down. Why is that?

Coming back to this after ~1 year and noticed, after an update to PT, that the PCs come with wireless cards by default? Kept getting the "cable cannot be connected to that port" error when trying to connect them to SW1. Once I manually replaced the hardware with the FastEthernet port (in the Physical Window), I was able to connect everything up. I couldn't see anywhere where you could set the "Default" for this but it seems weird default behavior. Leaving this message here in case anyone else experiences it.

Hi folks, I noticed that for the tokyo Branch, the firewall was placed after the router is there a reason for that please ?
If you go back to the "Network Devices | Day 1" video, he mentions that either configuration is possible so he demonstrates both configurations.
