I took my CCNA exam yesterday and it had 2 simulation questions on it. Not just multiple choice for me. Your videos were one of many videos I used. Also it's my understanding that Cisco no longer gives scores for CCNA but rather just PASS or FAIL. I passed no idea what kind of score I got. Thank you Jeremy for all your videos, they really helped me study.
Yeah from what ive heard, you can still have sim questions, you just might/might not. Also at the end of the day the pass is the only thing that matters imo, though being closer to 825 means you might wanna study up some more when you have to refresh the cert

Great video ! Recommend his course because they are straight and to the point and he does a good job of teaching you the fundamentals corresponding to each exam topic. I passed my CCNA by watching his vids, google searches, packet tracer and well as the 200-301 volume 1 & 2 official cert guidebook. I wish he was my dad since I don’t have one.

@@kelecortez5834 Thanks! This time I just used Boson ExSim to review, but I already have my CCNA and CCNP. My first time I used Neil's course, Wendell Odom's books, and Boson ExSim. Note about Boson ExSim: Each exam is only a measure of your ability the FIRST time you take the exam. If you take the same questions again a second time, you'll get a much higher score, but it doesn't necessarily mean your understanding has improved so much. You probably just remembered the specific questions/answers on those Boson exams. You can see my Boson scores in this video, for example. I took each exam once, and studied for about a week in between each exam to fill in my weak points.

I've considered it! I don't think I could sustain that pace though. I heeded your advice on Boson practice test. I initially failed the exam by 7 points. After purchasing the Boson practice exam I passed on my second try with a score of 912.

I’m deciding whether I want to wait, perform well at my new job, and then move onto a certification. In the meantime, I want to learn Linux.
I started my CCNP studies immediately after I got my CCNA in 2018. I think either choice is fine, Linux is definitely a useful skill in all areas of IT!

DeadMan Learn the hiragana/katakana, learn the basics from a textbook (and simultaneously start learning the kanji), and then start reading and listening to as much Japanese as you can!

Jeremy, I’m revisiting this video. I passed the CCNA a month ago solely due to your course (and Anki decks)! Thank you so much. What did you do immediately after? CCNP? I’m deciding whether I want to wait, perform well at my new job, and then move onto a certification. In the meantime, I want to learn Linux.
I started my CCNP studies immediately after I got my CCNA in 2018. I think either choice is fine, Linux is definitely a useful skill in all areas of IT!

@@danqg6926 Affordable, peaceful, orderly, convenient (great public transport). The only downside is that life will be difficult if you can't speak Japanese!
DeadMan Learn the hiragana/katakana, learn the basics from a textbook (and simultaneously start learning the kanji), and then start reading and listening to as much Japanese as you can!

The first time I took the CCNA, those sim questions threw me for a loop. Especially when they prevented you from running certain commands.
