the guitar is crying with David Gilmour 😍
David Gilmore is a genius.
Gilmour
This song is totally credit to Dave off the Division Bell. Dave the only person to play twice at Pompeii since 79 AD. this time with an audience. Dave said on his last tour would play special places regards of size, He wanted people to say " I Was there". He also said he plays better at some place and like the ghost from the past what went on here. There is a tunnel inside this Amphitheater dedicated to P.F. 1972 performance. I have seen him 9 times and Pompeii is his best playing as no big production >just Dave. How did Rembrandt, Mozart, Michelangelo do what they did.70yrs old.
He always pulls tears out of me, whether with his guitar or with his voice.....
You two are my favorite couple doing these reaction videos. Your reactions are real and you can see it.
My favorite version..
This song is the staple of my life.
If I to only listen to one song for the rest of my life. This is it.♥️
The reason the guitar was invented was to be in David Gilmour's hands and soul.
This is 2016. Gilmour is 70 here. This is wonderful. Wonderful concert. The version of COMFORTABLY NUMB in this concert may even match Pulse; not in length, but in heart. I still love the acoustic version of COMING BACK TO LIFE (with the girl choir) best because it is witty and so much more difficult to solo.
another of my favourite songs from my favourite album. my favourite song from this concert, is 'In Any Tongue'. very emotional anti-war song
Agreed! David’s guitar “cries” out during his solo for “In any Tongue”. I wait in anticipation for your reaction to that song at this venue.
Keep them coming!
Mine too. I wish someone would request it...I can't afford it.
DAVID GILMOUR - JE CROIS ENTENDRE ENCORE
Hello Andrei, Hello Dominika!!!! Im a great Brazilian fan of you!
My top3 Pink Floyd song, maybe nr.1... Thank you!❤
is getting older but he still brillant we love you for ever David Gilmour 😍
Checkk out 'in any tongue ' from this concert. His wife wrote the lyrics I believe.
A poetic description, you both have the heart to understand.
Dominica, I totally get you! The little space where you are comfy ! and yes, beauty makes me cry too
Another great reaction, I look forward to watching your reactions to David Gilmour and Pink Floyd. The song "in any tongue" is awesome from this Pompeii concert 🎶🤗
In Any Tongue at Pompeii is amazing.
Just love these guys... a big part of my life .
Not one song is underrated.... All songs are geniuses.... Look at a boat lies waiting and faces of stone.... Emotion pure
To feel the energy of the room when you see them live.....is a feeling that matches almost anything you can experience. They are channeling the universes energy straight thru them and into your ears and heart.
I've truly been enjoying your journey. It's like I'm listening to these songs for the first time again vicariously through you both.
Thats a lovely thought re: dog and your heart hehehe it's a good way to exress!
david gilmour just makes me emotional, the way he sings, and makes his guitar sing too, just amazing.
Underrated, under played, amazingly uplifting number, in my top handful of PF songs 👍👍
Thank you for playing this..! Leo fender invented the Stratocaster as a gift for dave Gilmour!!!! He’s guitar talks and speaks to you..He’s music take’s you on a soul searching life changing journey..Its changed my life forever..I don’t know where he got the gift from that does this to us all..I honestly don’t know what to make of it sometimes!!And yes Andre he does shop in mini tesco’s and mini Waitrose near he’s recording studio house boat on up stream river thames in hampton!!!
Thank You!!!
For me, David Gilmour is the face of Pink Floyd, so ill say it. Great Pink Floyd reaction
That was beauty
As usually amazing reaction for a great song for Pink Floyd played by The extraordinary guitarist David Gilmour with his epic guitar.
God bless you ANDREI N DOMINICA ❤
Coming back to earth to comment... Back in the early '70s we would get off work at 10:00 or so and ride around in the car listening to Pink Floyd (Wish You Were Here, mostly) on 8-track tapes. That format would let the album loop over and over without interruption. We would ride for hours until everyone just wore out and it was time to go home and get ready for school and work the next day! repeat, repeat, repeat... fewer obligations as a teenager, for sure!!
Us floydians totally knew exactly what you meant.. You put it perfectly it's total bliss..
I saw David Gilmour in 2016, in Chicago. An absolutely fantastic concert, and I'll never forget it!
Same here!
Same here, first night at the United center.
Same, 3rd night, magnificent show!
Same here, will never forget it!
@@updem Yep-same show I was at! And if I remember correctly, there was snow in April that evening!
I wished i could have been there too.
I'm going to say this I've watched a good few reactions just purely out of interest to see if the person (s) feel the same as me. To watch the both of your reactions is truly beautiful and I thank you for that. The way you dissect each note and analyse the lyrics is bonny but most of all you feel it and that for me is what music is all about of course when you fall into the spider web of optimum perfection that is David gilmour well We're hooked for life luckily this has been in my life since my mid teens which has been a blessing but also it left me like well where do you go from here. ? And the answer is nowhere really you need to just enjoy other music and accept that not everyone has what David has. Anyway all the best from Scotland 🏴✌🏼🙏🏼
Love , Love this song!!!!!
Great reaction, as always! This is the first time I've heard DG's music compared to a dog lying down, lol - I get what you meant, but it made me laugh too! What you said about David and his guitar becoming one reminded me of something I read, about how, for a long time (maybe still?), young guitar players would make a pilgrimage to the amphitheater in Pompeii and lay their guitar down on the exact spot where Dave stood while playing during PF Live in Pompeii, and they would almost seem to be praying, hoping to absorb some of his magic to improve their play. Dave was asked, what do you say to young guitarists who want to sound just like you? He said (paraphrasing), 'don't try to sound like me, try to sound like you. Whatever comes out of my guitar is a product of my genes, my blood, my muscles, my nervous system, and my life experiences and emotion at the time. It's the same with every guitar player, each one is unique, so just play like you, that's how you'll sound best.' I'm sure that's more words than famously taciturn DG actually used, but it was something to that effect. Sage advice from the Lord of the Strings 🤗
I saw pink Floyd in Chicago At Soldier's field in 94 the Pulse tour it was mind Altering the was that played and when they played Money it resonated around the stadium and all I can say is WOW I hope that you get a chance to see Pink Floyd in your lifetime😵🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵
Fantastic as always 👏
If you want to listen to David with his daughter Romany, I recommend "If it be your will" ❤
"I have ghost"
@@jim5247"If it be your will" is better!
I believe David auctioned his professional guitars a few years ago and raised millions for charities
.
Great reaction please react to in any tongue from same concert just brilliant solo from David Gilmore
Nice reaction 👌 Still haven't done, "What Do You Want From Me" 🤔 😉
I’m flying to see Dave Gilmour play in Rome at the circus maximus in October. It was a used by Roman chariot racing and Caesar attended races there. Come on Andrei and Dominica - buy a ticket and see him play - might be the last tour he does.
It’s not just the notes. It’s the spaces in between
IMHO The Pulse concert is by far the best live version.
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life ( Made in David Gilmour 100 percent ).
I saw this tour in Chicago and it was incredible. I proposed to my fiance afterwards. Even with all the lights and effects, there were times when I just closed my eyes and the feeling of the music reverberating through my body and surrounding me like a warm blanket brought tears to my eyes.
Which show did you attend? We did a road trip from Minneapolis and were at the 3rd show (April 8, I think?) at United Center. There were 5 of us, we were unanimous in saying it was one of the best concerts we've ever seen. I recall that Dave had been lent a brand new generation sound system for the North America leg of the tour, the first road test for the new equipment, so we were excited to hear it, and it was a treat, the sound was crystal clear. I'd go that far and farther to see him again.
Beautiful 💚
Hey guys, please react to "echoes" live in gdansk by David Gilmour, is an epic and very special performance, because is the last time he was with Richard Wright, and the end of the song is beautiful, cheers from Chile
These are some seriously lucky people attending this event. It was intimate too, a crowd of only 2500. He played two nights, I believe.
I would have given anything to be there!❤❤❤
Personally, I prefer the Live Pulse version of this song, but this is also amazing.
This version is different, more gritty, bluesy...more mature. I love it.
Please listen to either "Blue" or "On an Island" from live at Royal Albert hall.....you'll love both!!! Love All of your reactions!!!
My cats do the same 😂❤
💯
My second favourite Pink Floyd song after Comfortably Numb
I can’t believe you are not choosing the far superior version of this song from the pulse concert!
If you get a chance, watch this song performed at the pulse concert. David is much older here and had lost just a tad of his abilities. This is one their (Pink Floyds") greatest compositions.
They already did it.
Last concert in think of Gilmour with 'the black strat' before being sold off for 3m
this live version is good . But live version to Pulse concert 1994 is from an other world . 😎👍
Might favourite too, but might be because I watched that first
The pulse version is a must. This is Gilmore around 70, still very good but 94, pulse is a must x
i understand perfectly what you mean about the dog, it makes perfect sense to a dog lover and Gilmour lover.
watch Dave's dog sing a Pompeii 1972 " Mademoiselle Nobs" just with the harmonica and his dog. can be seen on you tube.
This happend if a 70 years old man play a 40 year old song Today. Every time was and is now a great piece of Music history. Best wishes from germany. I was 14 years old i heard Pink Floyd for the first Time and i knew thats is something special. Now i am 64 and nothing has changed my Mind.
Now listen to the original studio version from the Division Bell even tho the live versions are great this is one song you need to hear directly polished and clean
His guitar strap belonged to jimi hendricks, wonder if it will be passed on to another great??
The Pink Floyd "Pulse live" version of this song is far better in my opinion. This is a pretty good version as well though.
FYI that guitar he is playing he auctioned it off in 2019 for 3.9M An American Football owner has it now❤️✌🏼🇺🇸🇺🇦
😱
@@MerchantOfAlba How bout some Emerson Lake and Palmer Live 1997 Montreux Jazz Festival Tarkus/ Pictures at an Exhibition or knife Edge❤️✌🏼
IF YOU WANT NEXT LEVEL FROM PF TIME TO LISTEN TO CHILDHOOD'S END... YW😎💛❤️💛❤️PF4EVE
An interesting discussion about what the world would be like without David as a guitarist with Pink Floyd. We have a lot to thank Syd Barrett for this, as he suggested Dave as an addition to Pink Floyd as the rest of the band were concerned about Syd's poor live performance and the rest as they say is history. David and Roger took the band in a totally new direction
ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA PLEASE (ELO)
Well, since you brought it up....
...David without his guitar. 😀
ruclips.net/video/HiliWUh9jZ0/видео.html
lol....yes this one
Thank you 😊
Not one person has told you what the lyrics are about why because its dave playing the guitar please i beg you listen to the lyrics its very sad
In my opinion the Pulse version of this track is vastly superior to pompeii.
pulse version is better
I agree it was a great concert.🎸🎶🎵🎹✌
GOD IS THE TRUTH, allegedly. David is God's interpreter. And, may be gods messenger...
Eric claption river of tears one beauftil song i cry every time i hear it not the live verson
It's not the best version....Watch to the version on the PULSE 1994, i'm sure Dominica will cry😂But, even, if i can't be one of your patreon (sorry, i'm not rich enough, i have a family to take care, when i will have enough money, i will send money to help your channel), listen to my advice: if you like Pink Floyd, and historical places, look at: PINK FLOYD, LIVE AT VENICE, 1989 (VENICE, ITALY, NOT LOS ANGELES😂), they're playing on the water, the peoples are on the Saint-Marco places, and on boats on the laguna too😂IT'S FUCKING MAGIC😂Peace from France guys ✌️
I recognize that swooning face, Dominika. From one woman to another, lol. Love you guys.
