You can lock the side hand hold for the roof. There is a small recessed detent inside the door when you open it so that you can put the male end of the removable key to either lock or unlock the hand hold. Hope that helps.

Wife had a 2017 Santa Fe with the 3.3L. It ate all the oil and stranded us on side the road for my birthday a year ago. Was under warranty thankfully, and it took 6months to get a small block. Wife got in multiple car crash and Santa Fe didn't make it, so now she has a 4 runner. Hyundai makes good looking cars with features but they can not make an engine.

I 100% agree with Alex that fast transitioning seats are necessary.
Power seats that take 15 seconds to move from one configuration to another are useless to me, especially if they are slow in the fold down direction.
We have a "top of the line" 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited. Even though it is, by far, our oldest 4- season vehicle, I still love it!
    It has:
    - manual folding 3rd row seats that also have manual reclining and manual adjustable headrests
    - manual folding 2nd row seats that manually recline, manually move forward/backward and have manually adjustability headrests. The right seat also folds up to make it easier to get into the 3rd row.
    - heated 8-way power front seats, with manually 2-way adjustable headrests. The right front seat also folds flat so very long things can be slid all the way to the front windscreen.
    - dual zone automatic HVAC, with the second zone (heating only) in the rear.
    - all wheel drive that uses an electric motor in the rear to power the rear wheels. We find the system works exceptionally well in the winter here (as long as good snow tires are installed). It doesn't have enough power for offroading though (but we have other vehicles for offroading).
I love everything about the SUV, with exception to the slow moving right front seat.

My Santa Fe had injector issues at 14k miles and needed a new transmission at 24k miles. It took the dealer 6 months just to see me for each one. They make good looking vehicles that people buy based on wow factor. There’s no reliability and the warranty is shit when you can’t even bring it to the dealer to use it because they are “backed up.” My transmission issue still plagues this new one. Car confections got this Santa Fe and it didn’t even get 50 miles on it before it needed a new transmission.

My issue with Hyundai and Kia is that they look cool, and have great color choices and packaging. The issue begins with the reliability.
Yes, I understand you get a great warranty but I value my time. I don’t want to spend days or even weeks at a dealership. The issues with engines and transmissions are real. DCTs may make sense to accountants to improve gas mileage and mechanical designers to improve performance; but in real work applications? The DCT by design is terrible in stop-and-go traffic and if you spend a lot of time stuck in hills. That and how both Kia & Hyundai have dropped the DCT each time they put it in a mainstream vehicle because it was just so bad. I'd rather lose mileage to the old fashioned slushbox and leave the DCT to hybrid platforms where the electric motor does the heavy lifting.
