I feel you with the seasonal depression! I live in Alberta, Canada and our winters are 6 months long and can be brutally cold. The lack of sunlight and time outdoors definitely gets to you after a few months. My son also started dayhome a few months ago and he’s had 4 colds in 3 months! I just can’t wait until this stage of the year is over and we catch a break!!
Seasonal Depression is so real. I am a single mom. I work 3x a week. I just started back filming RUclips videos and I’m also in school online. But I always make sure to get my 2 year old out of the house for something “fun” for him at least 3 times a week. Rather it’s a jump place, play place, walking toy aisles, going to get frozen yogurts, a little dinner date, the park, library. We just have to do something or we both are on edge lol. Loved this video and all of your day in the life’s. Thinking of filming one soon!
The library!! I think they have weekly stuff for kids but also if you check out books it Ives you a reason to go back and feel like there’s something you have to 🤷🏻♀️
Good morning to you & I am a NEW subscriber to you!!!!! I am a Mom of 6 here in Houston, beautiful snow, yeah, we really do not get any snow here, lol.....we are huge Sams shoppers....definately sooo worth it to go to either store, they are also a lot of fun to shop at :) Glad I found your channel, good luck & great job :)
I love shopping at Sam's Club. I have a membership card, but can't go often because my nearest one is about 40 minutes away. So funny when she tried to blow the bubbles. She is the cutest. I get down when it's been cold for a while, too. I tried to take my kids to play outside in the yard yesterday and we barely lasted 20 minutes. Everyone's faces and noses were cold. Anyways! Another great vlog. Seriously loving your videos. ❤👍
You guys probably do this, but maybe try some library story times! I take my toddler to the musical ones sometimes and they have kids of all ages! I never know where to take him in the winter bc of germs 😷😩 I love Costco but used to do sams as well! They had great buff chick dip and copycat chick fil a nuggets!
I’ve had both a sams club and a Costco membership and I definitely prefer the healthier options at Costco! They have much better stuff in my opinion!!! ❤️
The winter blues....yup me too lol trying really hard as well to get out and not get in that funk. I live in Indiana and it got up to 49 degrees yesterday and the sun was out. So me and my 1 year old went on a nice stroller walk. We was so happy😊 we both needed it! Cannot wait for it to warm up so we can do our daily stroller walks. We miss them. I just try and keep my mind positive!!
Love me some Costco.. I love the part when u were showing what she was bringing with shopping and she took a deep breath and signed . I just started laughing so hard. Are you ready!!! Sydney is the cutest
Winter here in Maine is long and even longer with a toddler!! Thank god my daughter is a teenager now and we can go snowshoeing, skating, nighttime bonfires in the snow.
I feel ya, spring is coming. I try to take my toddler out every morning before his nap, even if it's just to let him walk around the toy aisle at target or pick out a donut at dunkin. getting out each day makes a hugeeeeee difference. then in the spring/summer its parks and walks all day everyday.
Costco’s membership is a little more but honestly I prefer them over Sams club. You can always ask to check the store out before getting a membership to see all their food options. You can also share the cost of a membership with family or a friend!
I have a costco membership. It is a toss up each visit if it is worth having. Even though I am a family of 5, 2 of my kids are extreme picky eaters and like you saw at Sam's club verity is limited on some things. At Costco's it is the same thing, there is only one brand of each item sold. I used to live in New England myself I lived in Mass for 20 years and then in 2015 moved to myrtle beach it was the best thing I ever did because there is fun stuff to do all year round!!!! I cant wait to see videos of Sydney in gymnastics that is going to be cutest!!
Stefanie Orenstein Oh my word I would loveeeee to move so bad!!!! If it weren’t for family, I’d do it in a blink of an eye! Not much to do up here as you know
We just got home from Costco! I really appreciate their healthy options like others are mentioning. I think you’ll be happy with the savings at Sam’s on things like toilet paper & paper towels (and gas!). I always enjoy your videos! 💜💜💜
Totally get the cold blues - we go to Mexico in March so looking forward to that family trip - I was so in the same spot as getting my 2.5 year old out and doing fun things - we just took her to the same kinda trampoline place last Wednesday- first time! The first hour went great -second hour -within ten mins of the 2nd hour she hurt her leg and couldn’t stand - we took her to the hospital and she ended up breaking her tibia right across :( I was so mad at myself for suggesting taking her there and my husband was upset with himself bc of course you think,” I shouldn’t of jumped that much or done this ect “ So praying this cast comes off before 6 wks when we head out to Mexico for our first family trip 🙈 sigh so any other fun things are on hold .... oh ! Also when we went to the fracture clinic yesterday they post these fun facts on the tv screen- it was the most common way children break a bone- #1answer: trampolines -- ya thanks we got it 🙄😂🙈
So you mentioned Great Wolf Lodge. We usually only swim for a hour because they have a game called magi quest. It is like a real life Harry Potter game. It takes lots of time to beat and climbing and running up and down stairs. Also they always have coupon codes to help safe money.
@@TresChicMama I've even seen people teaching 3 year olds to ski! You can get her a professional teacher and once she gets it u can go more often... Not sure how expensive that is though 🤔
Is it normal for people in America to buy water bottles in bulk like that?? Alot of plastic for something that comes out of your tap?... no hating! Just found it interesting
jenna____ same I can’t imagine spending money on water and wasting that plastic . But I live in Canada and our tap water is great (I still have a brita filter in the fridge - cheap solution)
I have a Sam’s membership only because Costco is out of my way. I have the Preferred membership which includes free shipping on anything. I order TP, paper towels, Pull-ups.. aka the basics. When I do to a Sam’s store I use scan and go. No waiting in lines which is amazing ( I have a 2 year old who loves to scream) their kiddo clothes are good quality and cheap. Overall I’m satisfied with Sam’s. Would love to try Costco in the future for comparison.
If you’re looking for a bulk grocery store with a lot of healthy options, Costco is the way to go. They often have Groupon deals for memberships. We have a Sam’s club right next door to us (well down the street) but I refuse to join and instead drive to the next city to go to Costco for the healthier options and the veg and fruit alone are worth the deals!
Girl you should try Costco! They have a TON of healthier, organic options. I love it! ❤️ They also have gas and most of the time it’s $0.20 or more less than everywhere else. I also buy my daughters pouches at Costco and they’re organic with no sugar added ☺️
Oh and another thing about Costco, they also have the sargento balanced breaks for $8 BUT they just came out with a Kirkland version for $6 and it is THE EXACT same thing. :) I know you just got the damas membership but if you are ever considering it you really should check out Costco! You can also follow Costco Instagram pages for their deals and to see what all they have for what price
You're "so pumped about" the gasoline at Sam's Club! LOL. You'll have to keep us posted on your comparison shopping among Sam's Club, BJ's, and Costco. I think Costco has the most healthy options and others I know who are careful about that tend to gravitate there. On the other hand, I know people who have done a cost-effective study on their use of that card and it turned out not to pay for them in the long run. So, maybe it depends upon how much you care about healthy choices, how much you buy over the course of a year, what the annual fee is. If you discover this year that you save way more than the $45 membership fee, then it is worth it if you frequent that area (thus not spending too much on gasoline just to get there) just to get the bottled water, pull-ups, gasoline, perhaps monthly supplies of paper goods and other staples. You may discover that you can save more on buying more, so an option is to take Hannah with you and make a little outing of it for you gals and both of you get your households' paper goods for the month and save even more, if savings increase by volume. Some things are packaged larger than what is felicitous for a small household, so you can split the huge container with Hannah or someone else into properly sized dispensers for your storage space/pantry. Sydney's been eating at the big girl table with you lately. How's that going? Trampoline park is good for her. Does your local library have special activities for wee ones at certain times of the week, even when the older kids are in school, maybe? They often have storytellers, readers, special activities around a new book that's come out. And they are mostly free. And it's another skill for Sydney to learn in terms of how to use library systems. Do go out and get yourself one of those lamps with full spectrum light. It will help the SAD. In fact, there are even baseball cap-type hats with the light under the brim so your brain really absorbs it through your eyes. Check online. There are lots of options to help that somewhat. And you would use the lamp or hat while you are editing or doing something else, so it's not like a separate activity or additional time commitment that you have to fit into your schedule.
Philippa Pay Ok you just made me aware of the lamps again! I remember knowing people who used them but never felt I “needed” it until these last few years. I’m definitely looking into it now! Thank you
Family of three here and we have saved tons at sams club over the years on meat and shredded cheese, non perishables like toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, ziplocks, first aid stuff, soaps and detergents etc. Most of our food items come from Aldi.
I'm feeling the winter blues/boredom too! So tired of spending so much time indoors.... Check Groupon regularly - they often have discount codes and Groupons for Rumble Tumble and similar places!
Tres Chic Mama I love that you give Sydney a chance to be a big girl with you and have a big girl sandwich. Maybe a February warm destinations the key.
Costco has tonnnnsssss of healthy options. Definitely not the variety like you’d expect at a traditional grocery store...but a LOT of healthy options. I know you said it’s far from you, but if you only go once every 6 weeks or so it wouldn’t be that bad.
Tres Chic Mama I’m sure you can “return” your sam’s membership if it didn’t work out for you. Costco is seriously an obsession of mine. Lol. I follow Costco Instagram pages for deals. Tons of recommendations on Pinterest too! Seriously, consider it! Make a day out of the trip. 😉

I noticed you made it possible for Sydney to set at the table with you when your having a meal. That's great.
Lynn Lewis Yes! I’m so happy about it!!
Lynn Lewis I agree. I try to give my two year old more toddler friendly “responsibility” it makes him feel so good to help mommy!
Giiiirl, the seasonal depression is real for me as well! Wish you well! ❤️😘

Hannah Walker yes, same here! Great advice.
You could write down your coffee order on a piece of paper and stick it to your dash so you don't have to think on the spot when ordering.

The balanced breaks are super convenient...but, if you're looking to save $$$ you can buy all those items and meal prep by making your own. :)
Ashley A Yes Definitely! Although the cheese would go stale by the time we got to it more than just a few. But way more cost effective for sure 😄
My 20 month old is soooo picky I’m hoping he grows out of it! Sydney is such a good eater!
