    Amek 250 vs AMEK 200 : ruclips.net/video/6fAmGGFTvfg/видео.html
    What do you think of Plugin Doctor, especially version 2?

  • @GloveBunniesVideos
    @GloveBunniesVideos Год назад +8

    This will definitely get rid of the "placebo" effect on certain plugins. Now you can see the difference they make, not just pretend.

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  Год назад +4

      It’s a tool which will absolutely help with that. But plugindoctor is also often misused to draw conclusions a plugin isn’t good, while in the end sound is all that matters.

    Great video and a new World record for saying the phrase 'Plugin Doctor Plugin', congratulations.

    Another great, and right to the point, video! Thanks! I'm wondering if the Plugin Doctor bugs you mention in this video have been fixed. This is just the kind of geeky plugin I need! 😀

      thanks Mike! I dont know if all bugs got fixed, have to check. But the CPU usage is at least improved by a huge amount, and DDMF releases updates very often.

    Is there an alternative to Plug-in Doctor for Pro Tools?

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  Год назад +1

      Not that i'm aware of. You could do it in part with an external analyser, but you have to rewire some stuff and its way more involved.
      The standaolne will obvioulsy work with VST and AU plugins, you just need to install those ( and they will be available for most plugins you own)

    I was wondering, does this plugin detect phase issues?

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  11 месяцев назад +1

      It can display phase behaviour. If it’s an issue depends on the audio and how it behaves in a mix.

      @@whitenoisestudio Thanks for the fast reply! For example, I do a low cut on my master track to remove unnecessary sub frequs, will it detect phase issues?

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  11 месяцев назад +1

      @Marc_Tittmann_Music that not what plugin is for. You’re better off with a stereo correlation meter or something. The free voxengo msed has one.

    How would one test a stock EQ?

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  Год назад +3

      If it’s a plugin it’s easy, otherwise you need you use the hardware option and route an output of your daw to an input.

    IMHO, Plugin Doctor is essential for testing "analog" emulating plugins (e.g., checking for potentially audible aliasing in saturators, compressors and eqs, which doesn't exist in the real analog world) before purchasing or using. Plugin Doctor helps one cut through the plugin industry hype. Seeing what is visually going on can help direct what to listen for. I've ditched a few saturators/compressors once I discovered and started to hear their digital artifacts with the help of PD. PD helps me to keep my inventory of plugins down.

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  Год назад +1

      It helped me to see the similarities between plugins for sure. So it does help, it also is often misused for the wrong reasons unfortunately.
