I just left a Honda dealer and they said I had to bring it in to service and they would have to pull the radio blah, blah, blah. I searched for this video in their parking lot and it worked on my 2013 Odyssey. It didn’t come on while my finger was on it but once I let go and hit the power button it came on. Great video. Saved me $ and time for sure. Thanks!
God bless you man you saved everyone’s life from this easy fix my sticker was no where to be found for this and yes it really only does take 5 minutes !!!!!!
I bought a car over Labor Day weekend and all the Roush Hondas were closed they told me I would have to wait until over the weekend and this video helped me in five minutes !! He’s Awesome
I guess I’m just two old school but my 2006 6 cd changer seems to work just fine! Now if only I had written down that code as it actually disintegrated in the glove box. Completely unintelligible!
Exactly right !! Who on earth would steal the crap factory radio ! These units ALL suck really bad and WHY do we have to jump through hoops for this junk !
Omg! I just did this to my Honda Fit in less than 5 minutes on my phone and it worked. This was the best video I have ever gotten about anything to do with a car. Thank you so much!
This only works on 2001 and older. I have a 2000. But I found the radio's serial number on a sticker on the inside of the glove box (letters and numbers, 10 digits), used that on the website provided and voila, CODE! Thanks for the help Kris!!
Thank you sir... I noticed if you have tried it more than 5 times.. It locks you out....Make sure to disconnect the battery again.. And yes it WORKED!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! I can't believe this is a feature Honda thought would be a good idea. I've been driving around listening to my cellphone reverberating sound for my cup holder.
Thanks for the video....Left a map light on and ran the battery down in my "new" Odyssey.. . I am going to write down the code in my service documentation so I don't have to fumble with this again! Awesome information!!!
WORKED!! I got a list of about 20 codes, had to disconnect the battery to reset the radio since you only get 10 tries. But #12 on the list, after I punched it in, made a loud beep and I was back in business! Thanks again, dude.
Thank you so much! The other videos would only show how to get the serial # but not how to resolve the code. I'm truly grateful for this video you created. It is such a huge help. Thank you again🙂
Thank you. I have had a previous vehicle have this problem and we had no radio or stereo for 2 years. We were not going to pay the dealership for a code. Thanks again.
THANK YOU!!! I had an ERROR code so I took the negative battery cable off for a minute & then it just said CODE and I entered my 5 digit code & all is well.
Actually worked. It does ask for your phone # and email, but it appears to actually be Honda's website for mechanics to use. I expect I'll get some marketing but my radio is working again, and I didn't have to hunt down the vehicle owner's manual. Thanks dude. Left a like and subbed.
@@invistar126 hi sir I’m having trouble with the zip code I live in the uk and It won’t let me put my exact address in like one letter is missing out and then it doesn’t work
Thank you so much! I can’t believe Honda puts its customers through this ridiculous process. It is the perfect way to prevent me from buying a Honda in the future!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH BROTHER, YOU'RE INCREDIBLE I HAVE STRUGGLED SO MANY TIMES TO ACTIVATE MY RADIO IN MY HONDA IN UNTIL TODAY THANKS TO YOU WISDOM MY RADIO HAS LIFE AGAIN, GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER AND YOUR FAMILY AND I AM ALSO COMPLETELY GRATEFUL TO YOU I WILL NEVER FORGET WHO HELPED ME SOLVE THIS HUGE PROBLEM FOR ME, THANK YOU BLESSED RUclips. 🙌
2010 Odyssey radio and nav, both worked! Nav serial is on disc drive under drivers seat, use cell to take a pic, no removal necessary Thanks man, not a fan of dealerships.
Thank you for the best and most informative video on "how to get the Honda radio code"... I was able to resolve my problem and unlock my radio in minutes... Also, I did not have to go to the recommended Honda website to enter my VIN number as the "radio code" was written in my "Honda service history booklet" by the dealer when I first purchased the vehicle..
Thank you so much for all your help with getting the codes for my stereo, you are a savior and i have learned do much more about my vehicle.. you really know your stuff.
Thank you so much for this!!! I've been trying to get the code for my Pilot for such a long time. I been putting in the Serial No and it kept telling me it doesn't match my VIN. They really should specify that on the website that the numbers are the only thing required on the serial numbers.
Dude.. this worked perfectly! I thought for sure there was some reason I was gonna be screwed but I followed your directions.. however.. the “hold 1 and 6 then press power” doesn’t do ANYTHING on my 03 Honda Pilot.. but, in the glove box there is a white sticker that has an 8 digit number starting with 1111XXXX and that was what I typed in for the serial on the site.. it worked! Thanks a lot bro!
Hey that is very nice. Thank you very much for posting the video on RUclips! I heard about the website, but wasn't sure how long it would take to get the code. This is perfect.

Much easier way here... Call the dealer saying you have the serial number and that you don't need them to press 3 buttons for you. And they do it for free, my local dealer just did it for me over the phone. Hope this helps 👍 be polite though and don't act cocky, works a treat

What a joke having to go through these steps just to get the radio going again. Great idea Honda! Way to protect the stock crappy stereo system!
ok so its not just me that thinks the stock radio is shit? good.
I have same issue changed it out for another stock radio and can’t get the anti theft code was at dealer twice had them do both installs
All I did was hold down the radio power button for 2 seconds and it turned on. Nothing else

so you would buy a shitty ford product and sacrifice dependability over a radio? please start taking the bus from now on.
My 2017 Accord doesn’t have a code. But, then again, try to steal one of the radios out of today’s cars. You have to take the whole console!
