been loving your exploration thus far but if I may give one critique. And i'm not sure if this is something others have mentioned but I find your audio levels quite low. For the music and your microphone. Just thought i'd throw that out there because is most likely an easy fix and would help a lot lol
Thank you for telling me this. you are not the first person to mention this either lol. For some reason, I have always had issues with the audio levels in post I'm not sure why. Are you listening through mobile? that way I can try and test the audio for future videos with that in mind. Thanks!
@@lusciousluie For some reason it’s across the boards, phone is the worst though I will say. It’s totally manageable on a portable speaker. Also don’t just don’t albums, if you want the whole journey go for the mixtapes too! In sequence you can really hear the progression.
@@nickfishburn4962 10 4. I'm gonna double check the audios on new videos via mobile and EQ that way from now on. I really appreciate the feedback seriously.
love how you notice yourself smiling through the whole video. this tape makes me smile so hard. one of my favorites to listen to while on dog walks.... when this tape came out, it came with videos for 'knock knock', 'kool aid and frozen pizza', and 'nikes on my feet'.. i think they had a lot to do with his popularity. a video for the track 'best day ever' released a bit later. you'll wanna watch that video. also shoutout to big jerm. also also, 'traffic in the sky' was originally on the mixtape but sample didn't get cleared for re-release.
it just sounds like he had a blast making this with his crew. ive been listening to swimming a lot on my dog walks. i'll have to check out the music videos soon!
Don’t Mind If I Do is one of my very favorite songs. The line “me and Mary Jane got a really nice friendship” really hits home for me. My grandma’s name was Mary Jane and I really like thinking that they’re both just up there chilling. Idk it makes me feel better about her passing if that makes any sense.
I've been listening to Mac since this dropped. It was so disheartening to lose him. You know he made a jazz album under the name Larry Lovestein right? And produced a lot of his own stuff under the name Larry Fisherman Edit: The spins samples Empire of the Sun.
This was such a great inspired album. I remember hearing about those personas from his time on Ridiculousness! I'll have to look out for those in the future because they sound so different!
Hands down bro this was my childhood and im only 14, i grew up on this, thanks for bringing back these memories, keep up the good work Ps: u should react to objects in the mirror
@@lusciousluie I think you should listen to Faces before GO:OD AM to fully appreciate the optimism and positive steps he was taking during GO:OD AM. Faces might be my favorite Mac Miller project, although it is super dark. Nevertheless you definitely need to check it out at some point, godspeed is EERIE..
@@lusciousluie he had a great love and ear for deconstructing beats and rearranging them to suit his idea ,yet still preserving the original samples sound.
What a throwback man damn... some of those songs just put a smile on your face
so happy i got to finally hear them, especially with an open mind.
Same bro
I swear bro
Honestly Mac’s best project.
I really like it a lot!

@@bloodblitzowns11 okay good to know. thanks! also when I get to Earl, that's going to be the album I start with
I am a MacMiller Fan since this year like you so I can relate with you a lot! I love these videos.
Thank you! I'm surprised that I haven't listened to him sooner. I've been having a blast. What's been your favorite album so far?
Swimmin is perfect every track is fantastic, although it is a close call between Circles and Swimmin.

Dude, I'm going to get a tattoo with this album right now, it means so much to me, it's definitely one of the best albums in Mac's discography
great video, keep the Mac coming homie! if you're up for it, listening to his albums/mixtapes in chronological order is incredible. RIP to the goat
Mac will absolutely be a regular listen on the channel! I may add one other Mac album before jumping into Circles.
@@lusciousluie can't go wrong with any of them. the man didn't make a bad track

PLEASE LISTEN TO FACES. I’ve been a fan since Nikes On My Feet dropped. Faces will always be my favorite ♥️
As a PA kid, Mac was the MAN to all of my homies and I. Miss him a lot
18:20 is how I find myself listening to his music most days
Can you do a reaction to the two bonus tracks on this album?
dub reaction homie✌🏽
subbed and noti's on hope to see you react to more mac, check out faces man! also excited to see you grow!
Much appreciated! And will do, I will likely be checking out Circles next in December!
He actually ended up getting sued by lord finesse for his sample on kool aid and frozen pizza. They came to a private settlement IIRC.
I was reading that he had gotten sued for a couple of the samples! I'm impressed with how those samples were repurposed.

Thank you for sharing that. I never got into rap when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I'm learning to appreciate it more and more each day now.
I you think the beer in hell line was eery the rest of his discography is gonna be real interesting
I can tell he's very in tune with himself so it's going to hit different when I hear those lyrics in the future. Circles is going to come in December.
Yeah man godspeed by mac miller is eery as fk, sends shivers every time

Great recommendation! Thank you very much!

I appreciate it! I'll look at what we can do with music videos
Nike's on my Feet samples Nas' song ,Nas is Like.
Ride Around samples 80s/90s R&B singer Al B. Sure's song Night and Day.
Interesting. Mac does a great job incorporating those samples.

The spins is the song Half Mast by Empire of the Sun Amazing track
I found out it was Empire of the Sun and that makes sense now! So close sounding to MGMT vocals.
@@lusciousluie great content either way.
