    French perfumer Edouard Pinaud started his line of men’s grooming products in 1810 (not 1910). By 1830 Pinaud opened his first store in Paris, and Napoleon named Pinaud "royal parfumer" in 1833.

    Talcum powder in the USA (United States of America) and the EU (European Union) does not contain asbestos.

  • @fareloz

    I laughed when they guys said that zinc oxide is safer than talk. Micronized zinc oxide is dangerous on inhaling. And you definitely gonna inhale it if you use it near\on the face, because this powder will be all around in the air. So with you logic you need to get rid of the product and don't use, "just to be on safer side."
    Every of mentioned products is safe. FDA approved all of those ingredients, including talc

    I have the Yardley English lavender Talc and I use it along with the Pomade. Not sure about it’s ingredients but I love the package.
    Edit:
    Okay so I just found out about the ingredients:
    Talc, Magnesium Carbonate, Calcium Carbonate, Dipropylene Glycol, Calcium Silicate, Parfum Fragrance, Linalool, Limonene, Coumarin, Eugenol, Ecernia Furfuracea Extract, Citronellol, Geraniol, Citral.
    Is it safe to use or should I avoid this product and get a different one instead?

    • @AdamsHairStuff
      @AdamsHairStuff  3 года назад +2

      If it’s working for you I think it’s ok. If it were me personally I’d switch to something that isn’t talc based just cause I’m a bit skeptical about the talc and the possibility of inhalation when using it consistently.

    • @Pepunkt
      @Pepunkt 3 года назад

      @@AdamsHairStuff I think the same about it but I’ve never checked the ingredients list of mine.. I think I will get another one. So just to make sure when I want to avoid real talc it shouldn’t be on the ingredients list but instead something like corn Stache or zinc oxide right?

      @@Pepunkt thank you for posting this question. Recently bought a Yordley London gentleman classic myself, and one of the ingredients mentioned is just "super fine talc" which got me worried if it could contain esbestos.
      I admit, I'm quite new to talc, BUT. I'm hooked on the smell. 😂
      Maybe I'll try that whisperwood or something next. After I finish the current one I have.

      @@blackmetalreki its not false. Johnson & Johnson got sued cuz they gave a bunch of their employees ovarian cancer. There was also a 2019 recall cuz of asbestos (also cuases cancer) u can use other things, like corn starch, arrow root etc

    • @diverbelow27
      @diverbelow27 3 года назад +1

      The corn starch definitely dont cause cancer. The talc mineral dont cause cancer in men. It has been proven that may be there is a slight increase in ovarian cancer in women, when talc is used. ( repetitively and for years ) However only in the women which are already cancer sensitive, and the increase of risk is actually really really low. ( Source : the cancer website about talc)

    • @DarkZerol
      @DarkZerol 3 года назад +2

      It's talc (talcum) in which is believed to have carcinogenic effect specifically those talc mineral clay which been contaminated with asbestos while being mined, asbestos it's self have been well-known to be linked to cause cancer. All talc used in products like baby powder, cooling powder and cosmetics these are pure talc minerals that have not been contaminated with asbestos. Pure talc have not been conclusively linked to cancer thus far and more research on this need to be done with manufacturers only recommend that you apply talc in moderation on the surface of the skin not into your open orifice or genitalia.

      And they are not allowed. There is no word talc on the bottle, it is called "fine powder".
