This is a great video, one caution I would say is when taking off the back cover be really REALLY careful as I slightly pried up on it and it cracked, spidered like glass in about 50 locations and I ruined my back cover. Other than that my repair went smoothly. Thanks again
Thank you, friend. Was my first time fixing phone hardware, cracked the back case and put a few small dents in the battery while trying to pry it free from the death grip adhesive, but my phone is working fine again and I had a blast fixing it, so overall it was a great first time experience.
You should also replace that adhesive to retain its waterprotection...
Brilliant video. I managed to replace the charge port, loud speaker and ear speaker thanks to your help.
Thank You for tutorial, Succeded in 2nd time. I was using small heating gun on 1st attempt but no luck, but hair dryer helped wayy better. Also i couldnt pull a back glass with suctioin too so i used blade and luckily all went well without damage and phone is like new. Thank You again for nicely detailed tut!!!!
ok so to replace it i just bring it to a professional?
HAHAHA yeah yeah
he missed one screw in the video. it is underneath the black plastic protector that has the wireless charger built into it. it is at the top left next to the flex cable for the battery. you need to remove this in order to remove the mother board.
Anyone know where to get original samsung charging port? I've been looking some in amazon and other websites but all have bad reviews.
I replaced the charging port and it worked perfectly... for one day. Basically charged fully once. So confused. Any idea why this would happen??
Hi, and why do you need to remove the screen and de battery ?
He didn't say you need to remove the screen. He was just saying if you need to, that's how you should do it
Because that’s what you need to do to get to the port safely. Did you watch and listen? Battery sends shocks if it’s connected.
@@shsh349 tape over the battery connector with electrical tape.
No need to remove the battery unless it's needing servicing

today is June 7th 2019 my phone is currently being serviced. if it works i pay $90 if the same behavior continues then the phone is defective he said.
Play safe and buy a 10-watt wireless-charger instead and resign yourself to a long wait during charging: at least the phone will carry on working for a time.
The bottom speaker on my s9 seems to be buzzing. Do I need to replace loud speaker or the whole charging port?
So this worked fine to fix the charging port but now me and someone else are presented with a whole new problem which is that when putting everything back together, my phone is says "No network connection detected" Wifi works fine, but without the mobile data, i cant get calls anymore, so it seems i traded in one problem for another, so how do we fix this new issue now? I tried cleaning and reinserting the sim card multiple times, making sure it was face the right way, connecting and reconnecting the blue and white wires, etc, i even did a network rest and that didnt work, so now im going to do a factory rest on the phone and hope that works, i also bought my replacement part on ebay, i didn't check what version of it the part was, dose that matter at all? Even tried the sim card in a different phone and also said no network connection detected, so did i screw up the sim card?
same problem as me. How did you solve it?
same for me! solution?
Thank you bro ;-)
I've took all my components out my old phone and put them into new case and screen. For some reason it won't charge or turn on. Gets stuck doing both? You know why?
thanks
great
Me to,nice one
So I just replaced my flex port. Port is working good, but now my phone won't pickup a network and has the no network symbol. Also the bottom loudspeaker is buzzing. Did I damage something internally?
My loud speaker is fine but I can't get service either, WIFI works fine though. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Wound up getting replacement phone, could not resolve network issue.
@@GothPhoenix2072 antenna not plugged in?
your replacement part is not matching the original (ie different revision) - it might seem identical, but the small connectors are on different locations, and therefore lacking good connectivity
either find a matching connector, or try to replace the usb port itself with heat gun and flux but be VERY careful as the small components might fall off from the flex cable
@@dejanp024 How do you make sure its the same version?
hi, I changed the connector module. but now he takes 4g badly, and the mobile network there is little network reception. Which piece does it depend on? It is definitely not the sim
i had this happen to me too, did you find a solution?
Yes...@@flackjacksons Yes! the piece I bought is defective. I confirm that the 4G connection depends on the piece purchased. In my case it was damaged. I bought it again and I also solved it for 4g
@adgj391 dam I already bought a new phone
My charging docks 2 screws stripped help
Quite curios about an oldish LG phone I got of you can hmu that'd be great

I really disagree with the approach taken to disassemble everything from this phone using your fingers
Yes! I couldn't agree more. Next time he should use his toes
