Dwayne was the type of player who wasn’t going to dominate a game or take it over. But he was good enough to where he wasn’t going to lose the game for you.” Sapp later goes on to tell Shannon the first time he saw “The Rock” on TV as a pro wrestler.

      I definitely do, played against Miami back in 93 and 94, Johnson was decent as I recall but not a standout. what’s really funny is all the talk was about Rohan Marley at LB and of course we knew about Sapp but Ray Lewis was just a puppy at that time! LOL!

      Aaron Donald is getting double teamed and getting 10+ sacks. Sapp is nowhere close to Donald. Coaches are handing out film on Donald to other players and saying "Watch this film of Donald an do half of that"

    • @lukekhalid896
      @lukekhalid896 3 года назад

      @@ericpennington1209 I'm with you. I think the argument the other way was Sapp played in a different era and different system, and didn't get to rush the passer as much, but had to eat space to run stop. I know Donald's numbers are crazy. It was more like if Donald played back then he wouldn't be posting those numbers, and if Sapp played now he'd be 15 sacks a year

    • @ericpennington1209
      @ericpennington1209 3 года назад

      I think if Reggie White could dominate at the DE position back then an he commanded attention, Donald could do it too if he played back then an HE commanded it now. Only difference between them is hands an Donald's hand game is crazy

    • @lukekhalid896
      @lukekhalid896 3 года назад +3

      @@ericpennington1209 Reggie White moved around at times, but he played DE 95% of the time. Also he's arguably the greatest defensive player of all time, depending where u rank Deion and LT. But Sapp /Donald is more comparable because of position and that undersized tweener weight. Again I think Donald is amazing, I don't know if he wins 3 DPOYs in that 90s era though
