Is London plane tree less allergenic than Sycamore? Meaning that the back of the leaves of the LP do not have the hairs like Sycamore does? Btw, I have seen some mature Sycamores that have the mostly white trunks from top to bottom in certain areas around me. But, my neighbors tree is mostly brown.
It is rare to see that, but, it does happen in wild sycamores very so often.

They are from cuttings. Take a cutting from a tree in winter, put some root hormone on and plant it in the soil.

The plane trees especially the sycamores are called trash trees because of the stinky smelly leaves and when the large leaves fall they get everywhere along with there pungent smell. These yucky trees are all over Europe and Australia, too. Why can't people plant tulip poplar to line boulevards and other open space areas. These trees provide shade, they give beautiful yellow pink flowers, aren't stinky and when the leaves fall they shrink and easily decompose.

They need a cultivar without the balls. The fuzz they release is like working in attic insulation.
