As a Brit I think I first became aware of James Carville through Bill Hader's brilliant impersonation of him on _Saturday Night Live._ which was whacky, a little bit sinister and featured some great eyebrow acting. I've since discovered that the real Carville is not only just as entertaining, but also blessed with a lot of savvy insight and wisdom. His warning against giddiness is something I have been thinking about all week, even as I have felt the surge of relief that the impasse with Biden was finally resolved. It's amazing to me that America seemed to be in danger of forgetting what a terrible person Donald Trump is, and how spineless those Republicans have been in failing to deal with him. Karmala must and can prosecute that case, but she she also has to offer an alternative that is optimistic _and_ realistic, while being ruthlessly battered by her opponents. That is going to be a real test of her mettle, and we can but hope that she has got what it takes..

A lot of us don't agree with Carvelle's need to upset the apple cart. He is such an attention hound. He is one of the Democrats who like to eat their own.

Although I did not vote for Kamala Harris in the 2020 primary, she now has my full support. If she chooses Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate, the ticket will have this Pennsylvanian's ENTHUSIASTIC vote!

As a Brit I think I first became aware of James Carville through Bill Hader's brilliant impersonation of him on _Saturday Night Live._ which was whacky, a little bit sinister and featured some great eyebrow acting. I've since discovered that the real Carville is not only just as entertaining, but also blessed with a lot of savvy insight and wisdom. His warning against giddiness is something I have been thinking about all week, even as I have felt the surge of relief that the impasse with Biden was finally resolved. It's amazing to me that America seemed to be in danger of forgetting what a terrible person Donald Trump is, and how spineless those Republicans have been in failing to deal with him. Karmala must and can prosecute that case, but she she also has to offer an alternative that is optimistic _and_ realistic, while being ruthlessly battered by her opponents. That is going to be a real test of her mettle, and we can but hope that she has got what it takes..

I am gratified to see that PBS is still an objective and inclusive media outlet. I haven't watched broadcast television for some time now, but when I did, PBS was what I watched the most.
PBS is not "objective" in context to what it used to be, and "Firing Line" is nothing like it was with Buckley. Hoover is a legacy/DEI moderator, she's a descendant of Hoover and those who run the Hoover Institute.
