Especially with track nr 7 because of all the piano and the more ”emotional“ Tone thereof. Also KH 4 looks epic even though the third game was controversial.
@@jclkaytwo The only difference being that that's also the second to final boss theme, hence the name I'm still confused what happened there in an otherwise well thought out game
If this doesn’t get nominated for soundtrack of the year at the game awards I’ll be so disappointed What a special game made by a passionate group of individuals I can only hope we’ll see more from the team at Ubisoft Milan/Paris whether it be more Mario + Rabbids or even tackling something else like Rayman, or a new IP entirely
sadly, I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I don't think the game awards are aware that mario games outside the platformers even exist. since origami king bafflingly missed out on a nomination for best soundtrack two years ago, this game won't have a chance in hell. the game awards just default to the most obvious AAA games to fill up the slots of each awards category, even if they're not among the best in that particular category. a real shame, really. TGA's trash and shouldn't be taken seriously.
When we thought Ubisoft couldn't surprise us more, they come and bring not just Grant Kirhope but also Yoko Shimomura and Gareth Coker for this game's soundtrack. Talking about taking things to a whole new level :D
I love that this games plot has enough continuity with the last game to feel like it's the same world and not just references, but little enough so you can play this game without having to play the first
I would have never thought of this, but when I played the game the soundtrack was so overwhelmingly good. At first I liked the soundtrack of the first game more because of it's Banjo-Kazooie-likelyness but over the time of the game there are several amazing music tracks which haunt ever since. Especially "Fuzzy and Fleeting". What an amazing music track. I just can't get this song out of my head even if I didn't play the game for weeks. This game totally should get a Game Award for best soundtrack.
01:10:51 That was the one track I really stopped what I was doing for the first time in the game and just took a listen. The moment, the violins begin to play intense later on gave me goosebumps. Completed the game 100% but sadly did not really enjoy it that much. But that song... My god, that song. So beautiful... It's definitely a good game but I had a better time overall with Kingdom Battle. :)
I'm so glad this video is here. This game's orchestra is absolutely phenomenal. Everything fits it's situation absolutely perfectly. This will definitely be nostalgic in the future.
Why? It has the greatest music for a TRPG and it was composed by veterans in the composition department, making it apparent that it's a collection of masterpieces! Yoko made tracks for many RPG's with the greatest music for these games such as Live A Live, the Mario & Luigi Partners in Time & Bowser inside story as well as the Kingdom Hearts games. Gareth worked on Ori's music as well as that of Immortal Fenxy rising and Halo infinite. Grand made music for the DK 64 game as well as tracks for the Banjo-Kazooie games and the original Mario + Rabbids game. The trio made the best tracks for any SRPG and deserves as such any award for that genre even to this day. It's amazing honestly and I love and Hope that the future of this franchise is bright.
hearing all the songs from the beginning is like playing the whole game once again. You remember the good times you spent on your first playthrough. Beautiful
Y como no? Si a Grant Kirkhope se le unieron otros dos grandes que son Yoko Shimomura y Gareth Coker. Ahora si que eso es llevar la musica a otro nivel :D
Wonderful BGM, thanks a lot! It's strange how you can tell from which composer is each soundtrack, the artist's sensibility is discernable here and there.
Pixies and Poets is my favourite, though I do think most of these tracks are amazing. Is there any way to find who was the composer for the individual tracks?
It seems like they saved the best battle music for Terra Flora, though maybe its just my taste. Awesome OST throughout though. I might prefer the original game's OST but this has some bangers.
Unfortunately they kind of won, all Nintendo Mario remixes are not uploaded officially, and yeah in this game it's fine, with it only being 2 themes, but for the original game it's a big loss with the lack of the entirety of the DKC being unavailable
honestly i prefered the originals soundtrack, it felt more "themed" i will say Palette prime felt the most like the original game in terms of the soundtrack. I miss the banjo vibe kirkhope brought to the dessert stages and snow stages.
Kingdom Hearts 3 never happened (what exists is quite literally fanmade-tier aka a cashgrab, even vanitas mod is superior), and it had so few original tracks. This soundtrack would fit smoothly into any kingdom hearts game, and no one would notice. Thanks to everyone involved in the making of this soundtrack, bless you.
Ubisoft to composers: Its a game about a plumber and talking rabbits no need to go too hard
The composers:
The game has a post apocalyptic world I think they had too
Correction, its about a plumber and his bro, a dragon turtle king, a princess, and taking rabbits... with gun, in space

Pean to palette prime is super underated
Probably my fav ost
52:42 Definitely one of my favorite tracks of the entire game
Yeah I gotta give it to you man, along with midnite ball (left), this one’s pretty fire
I like so much the change of tone after the short intro of "Fuzzy and Fleeting". Best normal battle theme 1:02:13
Literally one of the greatest video games ever made but this soundtrack makes it feel even more special
The first one feels like I'm going for a war
A war to save the sparks
A war of epicness
a war against a being whose foot is bigger than bowser
a big War too fight against a fearsome Monster
This is probably in the top three most epic Mario games and soundtracks ever.
