- U2 was inducted to the Rock'n'Roll hall of fame in 2005. The band was introduced by Bruce Springsteen in a very funny way.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was created on April 20, 1983, by Atlantic Records founder and chairman Ahmet Ertegun. On May 5, 1986, the Hall of Fame Foundation chose Cleveland as the permanent home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. - Видеоклипы
Bruce's speech is amazing, humble, eloquent, and brilliant, and inspiring and incredible, and total respect for Bono 🎉🎉
This is fucking brilliant.
pull your pants up, tossbag
@@VINvIN344 lmao
Bruce's Speech is excellent!
What a masterful speech!
What a fantastic speach. It made me more a fan of both Bruce and U2
Patrick Romo kind of looks like Deniro at some moments.
This, IMO, was the best induction speech ever. Absolutely freaking hilarious. Home of the Bono Burger! It was entirely appropriate as Bono elected Bruce into the Hall of Fame. U2 looked up to him as a role model musician......that there was a way to do it without getting messed up on drugs, that you could still be a person of faith, etc. Bono's response to Bruce's speech is priceless - sadly, it wasn't by the uploader. That is what you call an Irish induction speech!
You can hear Bono's response to Bruce's induction speech right here. Classic: ruclips.net/video/hnq7XfOsqoI/видео.html
That was the best induction speech ever. I revisit it often.
brilliant
Nope, not as good as Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins inducting Rush, not by a long stretch.
What a fantastic introduction and speech by the Boss. Respect for him and U2 ❤️❤️
Awesome! His speech writing seems every bit as good as his song writing.
Right!!! I was thinking that too
Hi also wrote his autobiography.
It's outstanding.
@@Winterstick549 it is! Truly magnificent!
Winterstick549 Hmmmm he wrote his own autobiography. Imagine that
Who knew Bruce was this damn funny? Great speech, hilarious response by U2 themselves
Love U2 and The Boss !!
True m8
YEEEAAAHHH!! Great Truth
Wow, what a speech - Springsteen knows how to compliment!!
Paddy inJapan yeah, watch his speech on inducting Jackson Browne. Very funny
Funny but a bit much.

Best induction ever. Well done The Boss
WOW. what a speech. what a magnificent speech.
Best induction ive seen. Love Bruce Love U2
I want Springsteen to write my eulogy!
One word, Yes!
Yes, U2 has climbed the highest mountains. And I feel that this great speech here may be proof that Bruce has found what they've been looking for.
Speech done like a boss by the boss.
👏Hilarious! The advert no cash thing i fell off the chair!!
WONDERFUL!
U2 were born to be in the Rock hall of Fame.
Bruce is an incredible storyteller...the best.
The best induction speech ever!
Bruce is just brilliant
One of the best speeches I’ve ever heard credit to The Boss
Blimey, Bruce really knocked it out of the park with this one
a real legend honoring a great band!!
This is a beyond brilliant speech.
What an incredibly thoughtful speech. Wow.
This speech was SO GOOD!
This and The Boss's introduction of Jackson Browne. Epic.
I just love him !
Wow what a compliment!! Been blessed to see the them 3 tims in the 80's and 9o's
Hands-down, the best induction speech I've ever heard. The only one that even comes close is maybe Eddie Vedder inducting R.E.M. Come to think of it, Bono's induction of Bruce Springsteen wasn't too bad, either!
His Jackson Browne induction is great too
What a beautiful speech, well done Springsteen.
Dec 6th 1980 I was at the very first U2 show played in America. The Ritz w 11th street NYC 🙏
Brilliant , pure joy, truth. Thanks
That little band from the northside of Dublin omg amazing
One legend to another legend group
Best induction ever ! :D
Love u2, great and lovely speech by the boss, love ya both
Hadn’t heard this before...it’s brilliant. He also inducted Jackson Browne into the RR HoF. Another terrific speech.
Love that he kept his accent after all this time.
Wow what a great speech
listen to Bruce - wonderful xxxx
The best! " The Boss " speech 😂
second best. Best was in '88 in East Berlin...
I love this video!! I've already watched it several times.
Boss - you are a born natural!
that was beautiful
"signed by Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen"
Awesome words by Bruce
This was so classic! I rewatch it often.
IMHO, the 2nd greatest induction ever... behind Kiss, TM CRUSHED IT.
Brilliant Boss !!
Wow . . . this is fantastic . . .
beautifully said. brilliant.
God bless you guys. 🍻
Hilarious speech.
Best induction ever. I still laughing
Well said, boss.
Ally Hewson- so lovely and proud of her man
The Boss!
Fantástico! Very spontaneous. I loved it
Spontaneous not, rehearsed written, good all the same
Awesome!!
Best induction speech I’ve ever heard for a rock band
Bravo bruceeeee
Thank you Both of my favourite favourite bands U2 and Mr Bruce Springsteen
very interesting and funny!
He'd be a great actor
True poet
is this the best RRHOF induction speech of ALL time, thinking here YES! hands down.. perfect digs into and prop's for the artist being inducted but The Boss hasn't the time to scroll through U2's platinum record sales... humanitarian efforts around the world.. raising awareness to unjustice toward native people everywhere... Chime in please.. U2 cannot be challenged in their world presence and popularity... they really did earn this recognition...the rock n roll way.. if wrong on this assessment kindly let me know...I'll hang up and listen...to U2... thx.
Whoa, the dimples on Bono's wife.
Ali Hewson is absolutely beautiful woman
Great Job Boss
Hilarious!!
Loved this! Loved the old Boss and what genuinely well written accurate tribute! The band appreciated! I didn’t know he was so funny! 😂😎🎸
how lovely was that shame we didn't see them getting their award
Punctuate at will. My choice: "How lovely was that shame? We didn't see them getting their award."
Awesome video clip.
Thanks for the post. 👍.
this is great...thanks for uploading Koen!
Bruce's secretary sure knows how to write a good speech!
Best Induction speech that the RRHOF ever had, and surely not deserved considering the atrociously biased selection process by Jan Wiener that has left great bands out of. The Selection Board should be ashamed of themselves for inducting someone like Madonna before Iggy Pop.
Madonna has absolutely NO BUSINESS BEING IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME. PERIOD. PEOPLE (I WILL NOT CALL HER AN 'ARTIST', "CON ARTIST"? FOR SURE!!! MUSICALLY AN ARTIST? HELL TO THE NO!!!
There's at least a dozen or more motherfuckers that have no business whatsoever being inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame at all. Ridiculous. It takes away any credibility that the hall had to begin with.
But this is a great fucking example of how to do it.
Charleybones
and both Madonna and Iggy Pop, before RUSH!!!
WTF
Charleybones Madonna before Joe Cocker? Please, what a money grab.
Fantastic
Bruce!; Sei un grande oratore!!!😌😍😘💘💋
This is great
The iPod bit killed me.
Wow!!!!
This man is a literate man. He is jesus of writing and rock n roll... nobody can write like the BOSS. Nobody. This speech is just a taste of his writing. "bearing the burden of being the bands requisite good looking one"
He is right!!! You do not need religious music when you already have U2!!!
4:27 check to the audience, hey Bruce, I think you forgot someone in your guitar player speech.
LOL that look he was glaring!
He dident look to happy
Clapton is GOD
😂😂😂
He left out Terry Kath of Chicago. A true guitar master.
they would be the best.
bruce has a great spanish accent
No one does it better
The Boss
Damn.
I'd never noticed how much Bruce sounds like Matt Dillon!
Maybe Matt Dillion sounds like Bruce!
Me encantaría poder leer este gran discurso en español, pues no entiendo todo lo q este gran genio dedica a su gran amigo y tb genio, Bono
Muchas gracias
Great speech, but why was one of his best lines about the Edge (and presumably other things) cut?
Actually, back in the day, Adam was very fine. Look at the "Where the Streets Have No Name" video on the roof, he's shirtless. Woof. 😍
And not a swear word in sight a true Racontour .
Great alt band.
Great Speech! Wonder if the Boss had some help with that??
Nope. Have you read Bruce's autobiography? Not ghost-written. His own lyrical, poignant, hilarious, articulate, soulful words. Just like this.
From 11:03 he sound's like John Mulaney 😂😂
couldn't see the video Koen, it's blocked :(
Even Captain Mainwaring was there (13:07-8)
Silly boy!
I'm related to Larry.
