With a paint brush. I use a silcone one.

How many layers of each shadow do you recommend?
Apologies for the delayed reply. Life got me. The layers I between differ depending on the look I want so between 9 an 12 if using 65lbs cardstock. 5 to 9 if using 110lbs cardstock
Do you have to add the spray mod sponge?
I add a sealant so my paper doesn't absorb the resin and look wet

In all honesty...I cant tell you. No clue as I have SOOOOOO much of it from my paper quilling and card making days. About 15 yrs of paper. 🤪 I am not particularly picky because it is layered. So I go by touch. If it seems to thin, then more layers and more UV resin.😉
I played around with 65lbs cardstock for the top printed piece and 110lbs for the layers in the middle 😉
