There are lots of cricut groups on FB that are extremely helpful for newbies. You can ask any questions you need help with, or search the group if you don't want to ask. I joined when I first got my cricut 5-6 years ago and they are super helpful! They also show the latest project trends and hacks, and you can get a lot of ideas from there. I had to leave one, because they updated their rules and made it completely ridiculous to comment on things. There were guidelines you have to follow to answer a question and I kept getting my comments removed. I wasn't being rude at all either I could totally understand a rule against that. It was something about the information you are sharing. I wish I could remember what it is now. I finally left the group because my comments were getting deleted all the time. I am literally in at least a hundred groups on fb, several of them for cricut, and I do not have time to try to remember the name of the group I can only post certain comments to. Nor do I have time to go to the group and read the rules every time a post pops up from the group on my feed to make sure I respond correctly. It was a pain so I left. I had been in the group for years before they changed it, and I had a lot of good advice and help to give. Idk why they changed it.

You snapped with this tutorial! I really appreciate all the effort you put into this. I'm not making keychains, but your tutorial has helped me to make some other cool things! Thank you so much, have a wonderful day! :-)
Hi, I loooooove your tutorial! And these are suuuper cute 🥺🥺 I have started making these cardstock keychains with my Cricut Explore Air 2 and have been using rather strong/thick cardstock paper, using adhesive spray glue-- after rubber cement glue had proven itself to not work very well as it allows the cardstock layers to split. Recently, I have "successfully" crafted these cardstock UV resin keychains, but a client of mine reported back to me after a couple of weeks of having one I made him that it's falling apart. The back layer is splitting away from the other layers and no doubt the other layers will potentially split away too. The resin is staying but I fear as it cured, the drying of the resin caused it to "shrink" or "curl" and pull the layers apart. I have been struggling with this issue with several glues but I am curious about the cardstock. Perhaps it's not a good long-term keychain material? But I feel stuck and I'm tired of spending money on new products and materials that are merely for tests. Any suggestions or solutions to this issue? I made sure to apply resin to the bottom and top layers separately before gluing them to the center layer like you did in this tutorial. Maybe i need a different resin?
This tutorial is so good, just one question as got confused with one tiny thing. What did you put on the top at the end?? Thankyou for this tutorial, I've just got my cricut a few days ago and can't wait to try this!!
I don't t know if someone already mentioned this but with print and cut if place you images together and attach them before sending to mat you can get them all on one page.
Thank you so much. I am trying to figure out how to make my son a keychain. I just won a Cricut Maker 3, and I have no idea what I am doing. This video was great. I have no idea about resin, though. 😂
I love this tutorial!! You did amazing abs the instructions are so clear. I have a question though. If I have the regular weight card stock would I just double up the backing ?

A tip on how to use jump rings instead of opening them you can take two sets of jewelers pliers and give them a slight twist with the open edge that causes it to form a slight gap. You then insert it into your chain your opening whatever and then twist back to its original position where the edges of the jump ring touch. This way it does not deformed the jump ring it keeps its integrity and it keeps it from being misshapened. You can check out more On RUclips how to use fasteners in jewelry making.
Hi, thank you so much for making this! I was wondering if there was another way to print like on paper instead of cardstock? My printer doesn’t print on cardstock ☹️
Oh noooo 🥺 you can probably use regular paper as the top layer but you’ll have to be extremely careful when glueing. Regular paper isn’t thick at all so it’s very fragile. Im working on making another keychain video but with shrink plastic.
Thank you for the Tutorial ... I love it ... and I made some myself and adore them (I use my laminator on each layer to pressure de glue everywhere ) .... How do I keep from getting glue all over the back of the keychain as I’m glueing my layers down? The back looked like a gloopy mess once I finished. Also tried mod podge instead of craft glue and was better but still a little messy. Any tricks/tips??
Sounds like you’re using too much glue. When I glue my keychains, I lightly squeeze & use the tip to spread the glue around. Focusing mostly on the edges. Then I use my pointer finger and thumb to squeeze out the excess glue and use it to go around the edges to help the layers not lift. I hope this makes sense and helps! 💙✨
