I saw them in 1979 Granada Theater in Chicago, tremendous show. David Johansen was the first act and we actually came to see them, Wow did we ever find a new Awesome band and artist!
I was there too. Remember when Bob Coburn from WMET was rambling like an idiot on stage , He wouldn't stop talking. I gave him some black african weed and he got wasted.l Great night. I think it was around haloween.
Always loved Southside since my tough time I was having in the late 70s brought me back to life

We will never see entertainment like this again. I still catch them whenever possible.
Going to Milwaukee from Texas to see him next week :).

I went to Knebworth Festival 1979 to see Southside, and discovered that the headline band were pretty good too - Led Zeppelin : )
