Picked my board back up after a decade plus, was just trying noseslides the other day almost got em but can't quite figure it out. Hyped on this one perfect timing for me Paul!
Thank you for reiterating the need for repetition. The calm demeanor in which you instruct implies to your students/viewers that you will fail, it's expected, and part of the process. Stay patient and calm through the trials and celebrate the successes!!
Just watching this at home right now getting the mental feel for the nose slide so when I go to the park I know where to start, I've done like 1 lil nose slide before and heaps of attempts where I pop onto the ledge into nose slide position then pivot off into fakie roll out and mastered them almost aha they look pretty cool but can't wait to try a proper nose slide using this video as a guide:) will update you guys on how it goes!! Cheers for the vid tutorial Paul!
I've always had trouble with this trick primarily because my left foot(regular stance) is not my dominant so it doesn't feel as comfortable putting all my weight on it. Idk if that's been a problem for anybody else. But hopefully attempting these more often might change that, TY Paul 🙌
Damn that ledge looks buttery. I've never noseslid before, I gotta try again. I'm inspired to go out and learn them! (On another note, please more tutorials!)
You're the best teacher bro... Before RUclips days I used to play as your character on Tony Hawks 2 so its crazy to be seeing you in the real now 🤣 I instantly recognised your style, amazing vids
Make more simple video tips tutorial like that, Paul. Please. Skaters would be so thankful for those tips coming from you. ❤️🔥🛹 There are uncountable tricks, basic or not, that we wanna know. Back tail, front tail, front crook, back crook... the list goes on and on...
Good trick tip. Learning nose stalls going straight at a step also helps timing, especially when you wanna flip in, all timing. Can we get a front crook tip?
Popping the nollie out is the best part imo. Exactly program muscle memory. I’d learn it slappy style 1st to get good at sliding then learn Ollie in. You really gotta learn ollle to nose stall 1st. That’s how I’d teach it. Then gradually go at more of an angle to start sliding it. Good vid I studied your tricks early on to learn.
Can we get some more trick tips on the basics? Like, for me, I struggle a lot to keep a heel flip under me, I can get the rotation but my body always ends up behind me. Can we get a trick tip for that please :)
Started skating at around 7, got my first local shop sponsor at 15. For some reason, I could never get this stupid basic trick down. I would always get in it crooked so the wheels hit the ledge and stick, or land wheels on top and shoot out. I could nollie front nose and switch front tail no problem, but for whatever reason this one always gave me problems
Learnt this trick in one day like 13 years ago from a guy at the park. For me imo a tip someone gives you can unlock the trick instantly for some (like myself) and some might take more time. Feel it’s very subjective on that matter and your tip will unlock it instantly for others as well like it did with me.
This Paul Rodriguez fellow certainly seems to know his Ledge tricks. He also looks like legendary comedian Paul Rodriguez. Also I bet he cld do this tutorial switch and nobody wld notice
Yo Paul! Long time fan, I would love it if you could do a trick tip on Nollieheel. A lot of people can't do the trick and when they do it ends up being a rocket flip. My goal is to catch the board level instead of rocket... I need to fix that. Please help 🙏
I want to see some Fs 5-0s, I can never lock my back truck anymore on the ledge and will slide and fall pretty hard on my ass/back every time and I need some tips, man!
Back tails!

That tip on shoulders is what was the key I think it works so well when not square off
Glad that helped

i've been working on my ledge game for a couple months and the shoulder part wasnt clearly to me, thanks paul

I would always get in it crooked so the wheels hit the ledge and stick, or land wheels on top and shoot out. That shoulder angle is so important
