Dog survives being in capsized leisure boat

My parents' boat collided with a huge vessel on the river Maas in Venlo/Blerick, the Netherlands. The boat capsized and my parents managed to get out. My mother, who was in the back of the cabin at the time of the collision, had to swim her way out in the dark. For a moment she thought she would die.
Their dog however still had to be inside. The rescue workers present didn't manage to find the dog inside the vessel and hardly anyone dared to hope for it to come out alive. After 20-30 minutes, when righting the boat, Beppie the dog appeared in the hatch of the roof.
What a happy ending!

Thank you. Today she died naturally at the age of 15 and a half years.
