my grandmother introduced me to this show. i will always remember her whenever i watch this show and when we used to laugh together watching it R.I.P grandma
+britturk123 and Hyacinth snob of the century lol. I love Patricia Routledge great actress should be made a dame. I miss Geoffrey Hughes i knew best as Onslow and Twiggy from the Royle Family
I'm from the Netherlands and "Keeping up appearances" was aired from some years ago, and the replays too! OMG: so nice too watch these outtakes! I almost cried of laughter, hahahahaha
This show is the BEST! Patricia Rutledge ( Hyacinth) was inspired by Lucille Ball as a comedienne. Mrs Bucket is fantastic! I'm from the U.S. but my dear late Mom was English, & it comforts me to watch this. Makes it easier when I'm really missing her.
Oh I love this show. It is one of the best British sitcoms ever IMO. I really like Onslow. He was always a barrel of laughs. I have all of this show on DVD. Considering they can add loads of extras to DVDs these days it's a real shame these hilarious outtakes have not been included and made available. That would have been freakin awesome.
Without doubt, this was one of the funniest series to come out of the UK! I always thought the show was funny, but watching the out-takes has made it even more so. I love British comedy! Keeping up Appearances, Are You Being Served, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder ...all great shows! Oh, and let's not forget BEAN! This is classic British comedy. Thanks for putting this up. It's in my favourites now! Rick - Wisconsin - USA
love every single scenes of it, every moment of it, it's the most humorous comedy show in all of television in four corners of the world, even now, oh yeah !!!
Lucky you...you found DVD's of this program. I've been unable to locate any at least in this part of the country. (US) I'd be happy to find the DVD's...with or without the out-takes. For now, I will be happy watching what is available here on You Tube. Many thanks to everyone who has posted this as well as other Brit-coms on You Tube! Rick - Wisconsin - USA
Hilarious..must of had a right laugh making these,Love all the actors in this ,there all irreplaceable,Judy,s laugh is bloody brilliant,I love Patricia Routledge
Hey, Terry, thanx for the reply! I'm honored. Keep up the great work in bringing these classic British comedy programmes to You Tube. It is much appreciated over here. We can't stop laughing at these classics ...they'll never die! Thanks again! Rick - Wisconsin - USA
BRILLIANTLY FUNNY... this post should be available on the NHS to make people use their chuckle muscles... Mine's been workin' over time... I nearly 'peed' myself laughing at all of them... What a fantastic post @tpmm1..many thanks indeed... :0)x
Thank you 100 times over for posting, I so adore this show. Love all of the British comedies. They play it on Sat/Sun every week on PBS and now I have watched so often I can recite the lines before they same them....lol
Love this show, I must have seen every show 3 times on the PBS here in the states. LOL I can do a pretty good Brit accent now from watching it. I fool people all the time. I even had a Brit here in the states on holiday ask me where I am am from in England. LOL
4:32 - 4:40. Gotta love Daisy just COMPLETELY losing it there. And I'm sure they had to do that scene in more than just 3 or 4 takes. LOL! Great stuff.
I love this show and As TIme Goes BY-I ever tire of watching them on PBS-but after watching these Keeping up Appearnaces I realize they have been censored too! I wish there were more episodes uploaded *hint* Thank you for what you have uploaded-it made my day!
I only watched this because it comes on right after The Lawrence Welk Show on the PBS station and my parents never changed the channel. I used to hate it since I thought it was something that only they watched, but now I love it.
Daisy seems the sweetest, funny to see Hyacinth laugh :))) Actually appears to me that Richard is absent of personality and Onslow is a bag of laughs too
It was you who deserved five stars! ;) Can't stop thinking of the older gentleman. He might have thought: I fooled this fella, he thought I was from England as well. ;)
This is so freaking great!!!! O I love this show. Daisy's laugh is so contagious! Tpmm1 Thanks for posting this ;) I was taken advantage of.....what if mr vicorstaff calls LMAO
@dncarac Yeah I was told that the Rose I was talking about was the one that actually replaced the original Rose. But I do think all the characters are funny, but Patricia - to me - definitely makes the show worth watching. Like Vicar of Dibley or whathaveyou, I think all the characters on that are very funny - but the main character (Dawn French) is what draws you to it and really completes the show.
Watch keeping up appearances one hour once a week and keep the sadness away. But when it's not been telecast on channel 92 it brings sadness all along 😢😢
That is so funny that it works for you! I am living in Denmark, but come from The Netherlands. When I was in school for my Danish lessons, it worked for me to fool an Englishman too! I love that! Sometimes people here think I am a Dane. Bigcarguy69, we are GOOD! :D
@KidsWithGuns1992 In the first season, the role of Rose was played by Shirley Stelfox. Because of other duties, she then was replaced by late Mary Millar, who played in all the other seasons. Mary Millar is the one you like best, as it is her at 4:05..
Love every minute! Superb. Anybody know what episode that Hyacinth attends some sort of food fair, picks up a lopsided cake and says "Oh, that's Mrs. Johnsons. She does try, bless her."
Thanks a lot for your nice comment, Rick. I fully agree with you. You mention some great series. I do like the newer series like The Catherine Tate Show too. Terry - Denmark - Europe ;)
It's a 1986 Rover 216 Mark 1, also known as an SD3. My dad had one of those for quite a few years, they're a pretty ugly car but I always liked it for some reason. :)
RIP Geoffrey Hughes. Loved him in this show. Brilliant.
Rip..

They so obviously had a complete blast making this!
And at 6:15 I love Daisy's laugh - it's absolutely hilarious!
Its such a shame Mary Millar (Rose) is dead, they could make a comeback series but without her it wouldnt really be the same.
Lucky you...you found DVD's of this program. I've been unable to locate any at least in this part of the country. (US) I'd be happy to find the DVD's...with or without the out-takes.

They had some real tongue-twisters in this show - especially for Patricia Routledge. I always wondered how she got through them so flawlessly. :)

She is indeed saying "Don't start arguing...". I think they had to laugh because of what Onslow said.
