Welcome back! Abaddon and the things surrounding him are the best parts of Warhammer 40k's narrative for me, and although it isn't the first time, thanks for dedicating a whole video to one of the most powerful and compelling characters in the setting.

Humanity rages against the darknes with or without the Imperium of Man. Ezekyle Abaddon embodies that. While other struggle to gain or keep power over their chaos warbands Abaddon has them tied around his finger.
Your video does justice to the name of the thrice born warmaster.

No narration I have ever heard before has surpassed this instance, and to consider your body of work, it is difficult to deny your surpassing of all others.

Awesome! I have to say the newer lore regarding Abbadon does seem to be better. The old one did everything but shake his fist and yell "I'll get you next time Captain Planet!" As he went into the eye of terror. Aaron Demski-Bowden definitely made him into a more complex character.
I'm really glad the newer Abaddon lore seems to make him less "Saturday Morning Cartoon villian" esque

Given this new lore I cannot help but wonder if Vashtor (forgive the spelling) is possibly the patron God of the obliterators? It would certain fit the lore in my mind at least. (The last version of the rules I've read was 2 so I'm incredibly behind and probably rather ignorant of the current lore to date.)

Abaddon is playing a very dangerous game with helping this Fifth Chaos God, while he may be the Warmaster of Chaos and supreme ruler of the Black Legion and he may not be swayed by the Ruinous Powers many of his followers are. All it takes for his plans to fail is for one of his patron gods to hear of his plans and either one or all of them will make sure that it is through them that he is so powerful, and perhaps he will lose everything if he cannot complete his objectives.
Abaddon is esentially a piece in the Great Game of Chaos. I'm pretty sure even Be'lakor told him that
Everything is a game for the chaos gods...they exist beyond time so boredom is their greatest threat....eternal laughter is all they really have to give any mortal.

I've said this before on other videos, I REALLY hope Vashtor succeeds in becoming a 5th Chaos power, it happened in Fantasy it can happen here. It would be an amazing breath of fresh air and shake up for the setting. As for personally, I always like to choose a favorite army from each faction, For Chaos, I never really gravitated towards any of them and choosing Undivided always felt like a cop out, but I absolutely love Vashtor's aesthetic, behavior and lore, so I'd definitely choose him now.
Ehem...would that mean a lot of the cult mechanicus would become heretics...some more?

I'll say this, if Abbadon had been written by Balders he would be the fearsome, honorable, tyrant out to conquer the Galaxy that GW wishes he was. Buuuut he was known as Failbaddon the Armless for some good reaskns up until recently. So hopefully this means that things are changing and the writing is getting better
True. Abaddon is such a non character: look he is so powerful becouse we gave him a lot of stuff from literally nothing!

I would really like to see how would he fare against those loyalist primarchs and legions.
Honestly old lore also makes him out to be villain to be feared but people just see him as a meme because of the fandom. The armless isnt even a lore thing.
And people thinking GW retconned 12 failed black crudades were not correct either. Even in old lore it states that to the imperium it seemed like a victory but that each crusade reached the goals of Abbadon. Goals not known to the imperium.
Memes have become too much of the lore.
