For everyone pointing out the bandsaw wobble: it's supposed to be clamped or bolted down when in use. I have the same band saw and I built a short bench to bolt it to so that it sits at the same height as my workbench. Really great for the price and size
I bought a new Skil 9 inch band saw a couple years ago. 1st time I tried using it the drive belt snapped. It's still sitting there as I have since purchased a good used 14" Delta floor model bandsaw (28-276). Guess I need to find someone that wants a 9" band saw as I could use the space it's occupying.
That 10-in bench top drill press is a great deal... 6.2 amp motor for that price is a steal...Craftsman has a 3.2 amp for $179 and the 5.0 amp motor is $350...so at 200 bucks that's a real deal...👍
I considered that drill press but went with the 10" Wen 4212T. It only has a 5amp motor, but it has variable speed adjustment without having to change belt positions. Since I'm only using it to drill into wood the extra amperage wasn't necessary and it was 9 dollars less on Amazon. If I had intended to drill harder substances I'd have went with the Skil.
The front top bolt holding the case together on that grinder is really loose and almost falling out. Wonder if the other bolts are like that too... Must have been built on a Friday!
wow that grinder revs up sloooooooow. I used to use my grandpa's when I was a kid and that thing had a huge cap on it. Full speed in less than a second, made the lights dim on startup. Granted it was only about 2000 rpm, but you couldn't slow it down. 3 amps seems quite weak for a grinder.
You don't need a lot of power for a bench grinder. The momentum at full speed pretty much takes care of the work. Not to mention it's not exactly an industrial grade either. But I'm sure they'll pop one out sooner or later.
@@jordanalexander615 Yeah I know it would work, but I tend to just use a bench grinder for a few seconds at a time so that time to rev up just about doubles the time I would spend using it.
I'm really happy that SKIL is coming out with new tools & competing with the other brands. But if I'm being honest, the band saw & drill press look pretty cheaply made. For that price tag I was expecting slightly nicer materials/features. Such a shame too since their power hand tools are really nice.
Man I have been impressed with skil’s value proposition lately…..but not these tools…look kinda junky…the band saw and drill press look like cheaper versions of the ryobi counterparts (a little more plasticity) I have the skil 10” slider and 10” contractor saw and have been impressed with both of them for over a year now (daily use, still square and true) but these look really really cheap 😞

Sweet! I’m glad to see a more prosumer level on these type of tools.
Toys !
Looks like some very nice tools for a home shop. I'll volunteer to take them off your hands!
I notice Amazon has vine samples for these tools. You can apply for that.
7:45 name a dust extractor that has a 2 ½in hose as standard lmao
the wobble of the rocks is a deal breaker for me

The drill press looks like a lot of runout, or were you using a crooked bit?
