I had a 64 Chevy Impala. I bought it for 250 bux in 1979. This brings back memories. Nice ones. But it was an oil burner. Thanks Bobby C for helping me pick it up and rebuilding a used 283 for it. It was destroyed while parked on a main road by a drunk driver. Bent the frame. Pushed the trunk into the back seat. Luckily we weren't hurt seriously.

Was surprised to hear this, so looked it up and yes indeed, lol, Neil and his early bandmates used to rumble around in one of those ;?D
I've often wondered what the lyric, "Maybe the Beach Boys have got you now," really meant, whether it was literal or a metaphor for something else (the story behind the songs are often amazing in themselves ;?)
