In case you missed the story, Lauri Törni aka Larry Thorne was a rookie in Finnish army, rose into high rank and got the highest medal possible in Finland, then went and joined Nazi Germany, started as a rookie (because joining germans at that point was treason), rose to high rank in germany.. Was arrested, escaped prison(was pardoned later), travelled to US and joined in US army as a rookie and gained green barre and purple heart.. gained high rank in US army, but died in vietnam war.. Dude literally joined 3 armies as a rookie and rose to high rank in all armies..

They have a RUclips channel called "Sabaton History" where their historian explains the history behind their songs and afterwards, the historian and one of the bandmembers talk a couple minutes about the song itself.
They are around 20-30 minute videos, sometimes (rarely) split in two parts. I recommend watching the History episode for this song. That one is split in three parts I believe, it's worth it though. 3 parts for 3 armies, the first should be about his time in the Finish army and the soviet invasion of Finland, the 2nd about the continuation war and his time in the Waffen SS, and then the 3rd about his time in the US army in Vietnam

Larry Thorne/Lauri Torni has the distinction of being the only member of the Waffen SS to ever be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. The man hated Communism and the Soviets so much that he joined literally any army that would let him fight against them. From a renowned commando leader in the Finnish Army, to service against the Soviets in the SS, to the U.S. Army where he eventually became one of the founding members of what would become known as the Green Berets, and helped to develop the training methodology that they still use today.

It is called Sabaton History and it is on RUclips where they go in depth of each song history plus a bit about coming up with the idea about the song. Also I would recommend Ghost Division as one of my top favorite songs of theirs. Also sorry for bad grammer.

Sabaton Soldier of the three Armies sounds good John doesn't sound to power metal like you said more straightforward which I do like to and the fact that Sabaton does their music based on real life historic events is really cool and very unique I'd also watch that show their on. Stay safe and healthy out there John you do an awesome job with these music reaction videos as well as your movie and eating videos your really the only one I watch as far as music reactions go and I agree with you on much of the videos you have reacted to so far 🆒👍

would love to hear what you think of Swedish Pagans or Back in Control. they are both older songs from Sabaton's library of hits, but well worth a listen.
Swedish pagans is about the vikings of old and Back in Control is about the Falklands conflict.

Sabaton History channel has an episode (or even 2 sometimes) about every song except new album, they released only a few from that one. You can do like some others and react to both the song and the Sabaton History episode about that song, either in 1 reaction or back to back, if you are interested in history

RUclips Sabaton History Channel. There are 3 episodes for this song - one for each army.
As Joakim put it in an interview: Why make shit up when there is so much in History to draw from?

To My knowledge they don't have a history channel show but I have seen them involved in several different documentaries as like guests. Experts? This song Is about a Finnish soldier who fought for Finland against the USSR. Then he joined the German army because he was such a anti communist. Then immigrated to the US so he could join the army and go fight in Vietnam. I've watched a couple documentaries about this guy. But it's been awhile. If I got something wrong I'm sure someone will correct me. Take care John.😊😎🤘✌️

As it turns out, it isn't a show on the History Channel, it's a RUclips channel. I will surely be looking into that content. It HAS to be very interesting. Be well, Doobie.
