They all sang lead sometimes. This singer is Paul Stanley. Gene has a grittier rock voice! I loved Ace Frehley(lead guitar) Gene sang and played bass! They put on a hella good live show! Nothing wrong with being a little freaky 😜❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
@@lisatiptoes the entire band hated this song as did the hardcore fans. Paul said he could write a hit disco song in like an hour and he did proving that disco was mindless. Interpret it how you want but thats the jist of it
Ok, there's some misinformation here. The band didn't HATE the song. Paul thought writing a disco song would be interesting just to see if he could, and asked Desmond Child to help him. The funny part is when it was presented to Gene (before Paul played it for him) Gene asked, 'What's my part"? and Paul said "doo doo doo doo doo doo-doo-ddo doo" and Gene was like WTF?? It's true that Gene doesn't care for the song, but when it went off into the stratosphere and was played in every disco in the world, bringing the band MASSIVE exposure including the money that followed, he relented. Gene's only demand was that they 'rock it up' live and tone down the disco aspect a bit, which Paul agreed to.
This was a 1979 disco hit by Kiss... they were on the same record label as Donna Summer and Parliament - disco acts, so they went that route briefly in 1979/ '80... Here's the brief story of Kiss: Paul Stanley (vocals & guitar) and Gene Simmons (vocals & bass) met in the early 70's in NYC... both wrote songs and were aspiring musicians that joined a local band named Wicked Lester... Stanley & Simmons did not get along often, but both worked hard and realized that they clicked musically... In 1972, the duo decided that they wanted to form a new band and looked for new musicians... A local Peter Criss (drums) joined and auditions for a lead guitarist brought in Ace Frehley (lead guitar) by 1973 and named the band Kiss ... They loved a band name New York Dolls that wore feminine makeup, but they didn't like that image for themselves... After seeing Alice Cooper perform one night in NYC, they were inspired to do what Alice was doing w/ makeup and creating a character onstage... only all 4 members of Kiss would create their own characters. Paul Stanley became the 'Starchild'... Gene Simmons became the 'Demon'... Peter Criss the 'Catman' ... and Ace Frehley the 'Spaceman'... A TV producer named Bill Aucoin saw the band perform one night and signed on as manager and quickly signed Kiss to a record deal w/ Casablanca Records... Aucoin also taught Kiss how to create a visual spectacle onstage to add to their music - pyro and bombs were used... Gene Simmons would breathe fire and then spit fake blood onstage... Ace Frehley would have a smoking guitar that would shoot bottle rockets from the neck... Peter Criss had his drums rise above the stage... and Paul Stanley was the band's frontman and ringleader. Even though Paul and Gene wrote the majority of songs, Peter Criss would also sing certain songs... Ace Frehley wrote songs and eventually sang on Kiss songs by 1977... However, Kiss released 3 studio albums by 1975 and none sold commercially and the band was going bankrupt, despite thousands of fans coming to see Kiss on tour... It was a double live album 'Alive!' in 1975 that finally broke Kiss commercially and a live version of 'Rock and roll all nite' ... (sung by Gene) became a hit single. Kiss considered themselves a hard rock band, and hoped their 1976 album 'Destroyer' would be a hit... What happened was that a piano ballad 'Beth' ... sung by drummer Peter Criss became a huge pop single from that record. Kiss was the biggest live band by 1977 and the Kiss image and logo became merchandising gold selling everything from radios to comic books by 1978. But the original band was falling apart by 1978... Kiss decided that each member release a solo album that year, all under the Kiss banner... Ace Frehley scored the biggest of the 4 solo records... In 1979, Kiss opted for a disco sound w/ the 'Dynasty' album... and "I was made for lovin' you" became their biggest international single... Unfortunately, the band's pop sound alienated their rock fans and Kiss' popularity declined significantly... A 2nd disco album 'Unmasked' in 1980 sold less. It also marked the end of the original Kiss... drummer Peter Criss was no longer playing on Kiss records because accidents, drugs and alcohol had hampered his skills (a studio drummer was used on 'Dynasty' and 'Unmasked') and he was out of Kiss by 1980. Ace Frehley was also struggling w/ drugs and alcohol as Kiss hired Eric Carr (drums) to replace Peter Criss in '80... but their next album 'Music from the Elder' in 1981 was an experimental flop record... Ace Frehley left the band by 1982... Kiss was a trio when they returned w/ the album 'Creatures of the night' (1982) and had finally returned to a hard rock sound, but no would listen... and it didn't help when Kiss toured w/ new lead guitarist Vinnie Vincent in addition to new drummer Eric Carr, both wearing new makeup characters onstage. In 1983, Kiss decided that the band's makeup image had run its course... Paul Stanley opted to have Kiss appear unmasked on MTV and reintroduce Kiss to a new audience w/ a non-makeup makeover - it worked. Their 1983 album 'Lick it up' became a platinum success... Kiss had to switch lead guitarists again in 1984, when Mark St. John recorded their album 'Animalize'... but he suffered an arthritic condition and had to be replaced by Bruce Kulick (lead guitar) who was a member of Kiss for the rest of their non-makeup era... Kiss still had platinum successes and were selling out arenas once again in the 80's. Tragically, longtime drummer Eric Carr was diagnosed w/ cancer in 1991... despite undergoing treatment, he passed away in late 1991. Kiss fans still remember Eric Carr and his thunderous drum sound that defined Kiss in the non-makeup years. Eric Singer (drums) joined Kiss in 1992 for their album 'Revenge'... but the band was in decline again in the 90's... In 1995, Kiss performed for 'MTV Unplugged' and ended their set w/ original members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley performing w/ them. That gig gave the inspiration to reunite the original Kiss in 1996 for a worldwide tour in full makeup... The "Alive '96/ '97" Reunion tour was their biggest to date... Kiss hoped to capture the original band for a new album 'Psycho circus' in 1998, but Peter Criss and Ace Frehley were reportedly already at odds w/ Paul and Gene's goals for Kiss... the album was completed w/ session musicians. The original Kiss embarked on a 'Farewell tour' in 2000/ '01... and Peter Criss was excluded once again in 2001 after demanding more money from the band... Eric Singer (drums) returned to finish the '01 tour wearing Peter Criss' makeup... Ace Frehley was out again by '02. Paul and Gene decided that Kiss would continue past 2002... their longtime tech Tommy Thayer (lead guitar) assumed Ace Frehley's character and even after Peter Criss returned for a 2003 tour, it was Eric Singer (drums) who took over wearing Criss' character permanently in 2004. This would be the version of Kiss in makeup that would record and tour for 2 decades... Kiss recently ended their touring career in 2023 w/ final shows in Madison Square Garden in NYC. Kiss klassicks that I recommend - "Shout it out loud" ... 'Parasite' (live version) ... 'Detroit rock city' ... 'Deuce' ... 'I love it loud' ... 'Love gun' (live version) ... 'Lick it up' ... 'Tears are falling' ... 'Unholy'... 'Creatures of the night'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
I've heard that another singer (I'll just say a twin) suggested that they put their makeup back on again. I watched an interview and he was discussing it
I was 15 when Kiss was big. Went to their concert and AC/DC opened for them. Also believe it or not. Gene Simmons says he has never had a drink of alcohol or drugs. His mother was a holocaust survivor and he had respect for her.
Wow, You would expect a man "looking" like that might have abused some things.😢 Drugs and alcohol were not as bad as they are now and so that's pretty incredible. Now, the question is do we believe Gene has had zero alcohol and zero drugs?
@@RockPowerUSA yes, Paul was sober too. The major strain with Ace and Peter was their alcohol and substance use. They were literal gang members in NYC,who decided that rock'n'roll was a safer way to get their girls and substances.
@@melissagerber7231 okay, You just have to take their word. I simply believe it's more likely that they tried drugs and alcohol at least one time. They claim they didn't try?
You chose their only disco song. God of Thunder, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun are some of their harder songs. All of them sing. After a 50 year run, they played their last concert Dec 02, 2023 at Madison Square Garden. Put hair on your chest = it’ll make a man out of you
OMG I hear ya! I'm turning 56 in a couple weeks and this brought me right back to my teen years instantly! What happened to the last 40+ years??!? I grew up in a very "christian" household so I had to hide all my KISS albums and cassettes. Well apparently I wasn't very good at it and my mom found them under my bed inside the box spring. Needless to say, they were burned in the church parking lot that very next Sunday and I was grounded for 3 months. I thought my life was over lol. Well, as soon as I could work, I got a job and rebought all of it!! Then to get just a little satisfaction, I left my KISS concert ticket stubs out on my coffee table (accidently on purpose) one day when my mother was coming over to my brand new apartment to help me unpack 😝 The look on her face was worth the 3 months 🤣
K.I.S.S live in concert are such a fun time, seen them several times. Always top notch performers and so fun, loud too lol. "I was made for loving you" was Kiss showing they could write a disco era song and be successful because they said disco music was simple. So in an effort to mock disco music a bit they created a banger lol.
First saw KISS in concert back in January '78. KISS slaughtered the 19,000+ crowd at the Spectrum in Philly that night. Ticket price back then was $8.00. I still have my ticket / ticket stub. They dominated the mid to late 70's and crushed it thru the 80's. I went on to see them 10 more times, most recently October 23, 2023 in Nashville to another sold out show. Fact: KISS has more GOLD records than any band in history. More than the Beatles, Elvis, the Stones, Led Zep, anyone. Their final concert, December 2nd, 2023 at Madison Square Garden not only sold out but, 551,000 people paid to watch the show live through Pay-Per-View. It was historic, KISSTORY in fact!
No way it is your first time. 😅 But anyway, glad you checked it out. I am not a die hard fan of KISS, but I do love what I've heard of them. And oh boy, I've hear them since my childhood
A lot of KISS reaction videos are of ‘I Was Made For Loving You’ which is their foray into disco. Check out ‘Rock and Roll All Nite’, ‘Detroit Rock City’. ‘Shout It out Loud’ (Tiger Stadium concert).
I was born in '75 so I grew up watching KISS on VHS tapes my parents recorded off the TV with the VCR. I was a MTV child of the 80s as well so this and your Hot For Teacher take me back. But.......damnit you make me feel old!
I am a 58 years old woman and I LOVE the singers with open (or no) shitrs and hairy chests like Kiss, the Bee Gees.... , and also the make up. They are hot, sexy and NOT scary! For me the waxed, tattooed, muscular chests of today's men are terrible and "unmanly"!🥴
First rock band I was introduced to as a kid as my cousin was part of the KISS ARMY. This was a disco hit they made. You are correct this is the band that did rock amd roll all night. Just about anything other than Beth comes pretty hard. This is Paul Stanley, who does the majority of lead vocals, but they all do sing. Have some fun with it and dig deeper with them.
KISS is my cousin’s absolute favorite group. He’s been to probably every possible concert since the 80s. I went with my cousin a few years ago to see KISS in concert and they put on an awesome show! Yes, Gene Simmons is the bass player to KISS. I actually love his voice! You should react to “I love it loud” bc Gene Simmons sings that song. That’s probably my favorite KISS song (one of my favorites). Great reaction 😁
I remember going with my mum and dad to drop my older brother and sister at rhe KIZZ concert in sth australia in 1980, it was unbelievable the amount of people that went. It was KIZZ MANIA for quite a number of years....damn i miss those days
The makeup made it possible for them to go out in public without being known for quite a long time. The first time I saw them without it was the song Lick It Up. The song Beth is really mellow. Great song.
Kiss has an extremely deep catalog of music. They did their final live concert just a few months ago. Kiss was one of the bands that created the template for others to follow as far as marketing themselves and merchandise. They went so far as to put their blood into the red ink for a comic book series. Look into what bands got their big break as an opening band for KISS. Love your channel and your take on everything.
I saw them twice while in college, remember them once lol. Beth is another hit that doesn't go with their image! Love your reactions, don't stop! Peace from Northern Michigan!
This was a roller rink staple growing up. Rock/disco mix. Not their normal sound - but they def had a rock/pop/funk crossover. Excellent marking geniuses.
For halloween my friends & I would dress up as Kiss. Our makeup was not a good as theirs but it was a blast. Gene Simmons the tall guitarist with the long tongue has never had a drink or did drugs and is close to his mom who was a Holocaust survivor. Love your reactions, thanks for sharing.
I read this info about the song While the story is unproven, Paul Stanley, who co-wrote the song with Desmond Child and Vini Poncia, has stated that it was a conscious effort on his part to prove how easy it was to write and record a hit disco song. Well I think they proved how easy it was! this song is fantastic to me, Kiss or not!!! they just made it their style.
KISS is my all time favorite band. Beth is one of my favorites along with Love Gun, Shout it out Loud, and Detroit Rock City. Just some fun facts: Paul Stanley could hardly hear out of his left ear. Gene Simmons never drank. 1st and only sip was at his wedding and I think he was in his 50s but he was a sex addic. I just saw them last year in Atlanta GA. Awesome as always. Never would of know they were around 70 😮
I was a teenager in the 80s, and glad I was! It's funny that you brought up chest hair being sexy back then. It was, and for those of us now in our 50s (where did that time go!) still love our men to have chest hair. I, personally, do not want to snuggle up and feel safe with a man with the chest of a 12-year-old.
Gene was on the left hand side of Paul Stanley(lead singer on this song) The interesting thing is that YEARS ago when they first started, they had their face paint on,but they also use to use fake blood on some songs, and they'd have it come out of their mouths. That was an EXTREMELY long time ago...I've searched for some videos of it,and I've yet to find any...so I'm not sure if there blocked,or were they taken down...Either way...KISS is an amazing group!
Gene was the bass player. Paul Stanley was the primary vocalist but the other members all had their own vocal showcases. Two of the best KISS songs in my opinion (God of Thunder and Black Diamond) were sung by Gene and Peter Criss (the drummer) respectively.
For Kiss you should react to shout it out loud, I was made for loving you came out in their glam rock years and is somewhat of a different sound than most other Kiss songs. The music video for shout it out loud is from their 1996 reunion tour and shows you how amazing they are live
I discovered Kiss way back in the 90's somewhere when this video popped up on the VH1 music channel. I was so facinated by them, their outfits, the make up. Been a fan ever since.
The guy singing in this, Paul Stanley is actually deaf in one ear from a birth defect... ive been a fan since i was 8 yrs. Old and have seen them live 7 times...always a great show!!!
All right my Black Pegasus... KISS is the epitome of "Shock Rock"‼️ I have seen this band like eight times and have never been disappointed ‼️💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
This was nr 1 in 1977, I was 9 years old, this was my first introduction into rock. Still love this although it is more disco than rock. I’ve grown into metal along the way 🤟🤣
The members of Kiss are now in their 70's. At 76, I remember my folks reactions when we watched Kiss' on ABC's In Concert, (airing March 29,1974. Holy Cow!!! Thought poor Dad was going to LHAO, Mom was horrified!! Dad looked at me... Don'tcha Ever, bring a guy home looking like that. My favorite song that night was "Fire house".
Oooh YAY!!! HERE IT IS! I heard you mention doing this reaction in one of your vids yesterday and I looked all over for it. 😊 And yes this is another one of those 70s/80s songs full of s exual innuendo 😅 Another song by Kiss you should check out is Beth, one of my favorites because it's my name and I think the only song ever that mentions my name 😂
This was a one off for Kiss they wrote this to prove they could write a disco type song and did it. God of Thunder live will show off Gene on vocals and his alter ego as the Demon. Definitely a must see.
As a musician, you should discover 80’s Rock great - Def Leopard (Hysteria- official video) Amazing musicians. At the hight of their career, their drummer was in a car accident which lead to him losing his arm. The band waited for him to recover and for Rick to learn how to play with one arm and, design a drum kit that would work for him. It’s amazing to watch.
The original band all sang songs, Paul Stantly (Star Child) was the lead, but Gen Simmons base (the Demon) did a lot of lead vocals also. The Peter Criss drums (Cat Man) and Ace Frehley lead guitar (Spaceman) did some as well.
Guitar Hero is what introduced a lot of people to Dragon Force as well. Through The Fire and Flames, the song is pretty much one big fast paced guitar solo between the two guitarists in the band. I'd suggest giving them a listen as well if you haven't already. Two of my friends were heavy into Guitar Hero at the time. They'd try getting me to play but it wasn't my thing. I'm not coordinated enough for that. I loved watching more. KISS also wasn't originally something I was interested in when I was younger. But the more I've listened to them in recent years they've made it to my list of bands to listen to. Detroit Rock City is one of my faves along with this one. :)
I wouldn't pick this as one of their best, but it still holds a place in my heart. This came out when I was 9 or 10. My stepsister had all the KISS albums up to that point. We used to listen to them all the time. Check out some of their live performances from the 70's "God of Thunder" is a good start.
Staple of all HS parties in Greece during the early 80's. In one occasion I left a party early hearing this song and few houses away in another party they were playing the same song.
I've seen Kiss 4 times and it's always amazing amazing. The first time I saw them and I heard Paul Stanley speak for the first time I was like Who the F is that talking. Hearing him talk is so funny, I love it. I took my 2 youngest boys to see them when they were 15 and 16.
Also, fun fact about the creation of this song; Paul went to see a concert with the co writer of this song - Desmond Child and it was there where they both agreed to write a song for each other. Desmond Child has an interview up on RUclips, where he chronicles how their music relationship began. Essentially, Desmond and Paul created a popular trend in music, specially in the 80’s - I’d refer to it as genre mixing. They fused the R&B/ Soul influences from Paul’s love of Motown music and incorporated a rock sound, and voila - “I Was Made For Loving You” was created.
They were huge when I was in junior high. My first Halloween dance when I was in 6th grade I went as Paul Stanley (lead singer) Unfortunately so did about half of the other kids. There were several dressed as other Kiss members as well. 😂 So nostalgic. Not their best song but I love it ❤ In my opinion they were scary when they took the makeup off 😂 I was so happy when they started wearing the makeup again. They are rock for the most part.
Disco Rock. I had this album, as a kid ( 8 years old) on 8 track cassette tape and used to play it every night when i went to sleep. At that time they were huge. This album was a one-off but it showed that they were here to stay and since disco ( not my favorite genre to put it mildly) was all the rage they adapted ( as all good artists do) and rode the wave until music turned again and hard rock dominated in the 80's. While many people really don't like this album with it's disco(ish) style i am not one of them. And this song was my favorite on the album. Having said that, to me there is not one bad song on this album. I also love "2000 Man", "Magic Touch", "X-Ray Eyes", "Save Yout Love", and my second favorite song from this album "Sure Know Something". Listening to this song, and album, really takes me back to the happiest time in my life and is quite nostalgic. Love it!
Seen these guys 3 times. Love them. Seen them in 2014 with Def Leppard. Great concert! Still jumping around like they were young . Another good one is Detroit Rock City. My fav. Try Heavens on Fire. Please try
Great reaction…a lot of their songs fall into the category of getting some, what Wheeler said in “Role Models,” was true lol…check out other KISS songs, “Detroit Rock City,” or “Love Gun” (you’ll hear the band harmonize really well in that track) but the live versions. KISS was really big about trying to stay with the times, so this was to help keep with the sweeping disco phase in the country…but hope you keep reacting, and thanks for the entertainment.
The cool guys listened to Kiss but my fave song was a slow one - Beth it was a love song 🎶 💚 Love to you Mr Black P - watching you from bed again as now I have rona yuck 🤢 and got to have a bone marrow biopsy in 10 days so prayers appreciated. 🦠💚🦠💚 Hope I’m over this so I can get that done. Ty for always keeping me entertained while recovering ❤️🩹 God bless you and your sweet wife and sweet daughter ( & baby too )
KISS wanted to be the band they never saw. While NY bands were dressing in Fem makeup, satin, etc. in the early 70's KISS wanted to be like superheros. Gene Simmons (co vocals /bassist) "The Demon" loved comic books & classic horror movies.Paul Stanley (co vocals / guitar) wanted to be a rock star from an early age.Ace Frehley )lead guitar) "Spaceman" loved science fiction.Peter Criss (drums) "The Catman" grew up around gangs he thought he had 9 lives Peter & Ace left in the 80's KISS took off their make up 80's & 80's.They have harder rock songs & they have ballads
This video was filmed in my hometown of Savannah,Ga in 1979 at our civic center. They had 2 shows scheduled. The 1st night sold out. 2nd night they didn't sell as many tickets. They cancelled the 2nd show and filmed the video
The first song I ever heard by Kiss was a ballad called "Beth"...such a great little love song. I can't remember the next Rock song that came out by them, but I remember seeing a video of them and was totally floored that it was the same band. Many of their songs I heard on the radio, so don't have the advantage of seeing most of their videos.
Alice Cooper was one of the first to do makeup and a term shock rock. With song titles like: Schools Out, Billion Dollars Babies, Only Women Bleed, I'm Eighteen, Elected, No More Mr. Nice Guy, and Welcome To My Nightmare. He has been around for 60 years.
This was their single (and ill-advised!) entry into the 'disco era'...!! (and Gene has said it's the song he **most hated** playing live!!) Each member of the band is their own character: Paul Stanley (lead singer) was Starchild (although for a short time he used a different design called "The Bandit"), Ace Frehley (guitar) was Space Ace, Peter Criss (drums) was The Catman, and of course, Gene Simmons (bass) was The Demon -- Their use of 4"-5" platform boots made them "larger than life", and the use of the silvery material in their outfits was to better reflect stage lighting for a 'bigger' effect!! As members left and were replaced, other characters with unique character facepaint emerged: after Criss left in 1980, Eric Carr was The Fox-- after being re-replaced by Criss, who then left **again** in 2000, Eric Singer continued The Catman persona... And after Frehley left in 1982, Vinnie Vincent was The Ankh Warrior... Bruce Kulick was Ace's replacement during their "no makeup" era...
KISS are known for their rock songs, but their ballads hit just as hard. KISS have tons of Black fans, because the music bumps. The makeup: they use circus clown techniques to apply and remove the makeup.
Warning: this is NOT a typical KISS song. This was a challenge of one of the song writers to actually write a disco song. It should be noted that a typical KISS song is heavy metal, from normal metal to power ballads.
I have heard this challenge was done to basically show the public how easy it was to write a disco song, and it backfired in a way and became a hit. Though this song gets much hate from die hard KISS fans, (and even some members of the band themselves), this song was intended to be heard live. It comes "alive" in concert, if you will😉
1:38 "I'm Pretty Sure That Kiss Is The Group That Sings 'Rock'N'Roll All Night' " You're correct, Pegasus. They are the band that played Rock'N'Roll All Night
Check out MORE KISS! The other video that was filmed on the same day and same studio as this was "Sure Know Something". That's a really cool song too. Their more harder and grittier stuff was earlier 70's. Watch and react to more songs from 1975-1978 specifically!
They still do concerts, i worked on many of them they must be over 70 years old, you really should react to the final countdown by Europe, classic song, greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
I love the analogy to Funkadelic/Parliament simply because as a rebellious Caucasian teen in the late 1970s and early 1980, I drove my parents and almost every town on the Mississippi Gulf Coast crazy listening to both, among others
La scorsa estate vederli scendere dall'alto sul palco della mia città in uno spettacolo straordinario è stata una grande gioia. Sempre grandi nonni-rock 😉😎
You should Definitely react to more KISS songs. There’s a really cool video for Rock and Roll All Nite from about 1986-87 that shows various clips from 1975 to ‘87-ish. Also, the song God Gave Rock and Roll To You II has a very cool video. You could go down a pretty big rabbit hole with the Kiss catalog. Lol 👍🏼
The majority of Kiss songs had either Paul or Gene on lead vocals, even though there were a couple that Peter Criss and Ace Frehley would sing lead
Yeah I got to see Kiss and poison it was probably the best show I've ever seen in my life
Gene and Paul did this as a middle finger to Disco. They said anyone could make a hit disco song and they did.
No, this was them caving to the record company. Gene hates this song.
@@lisatiptoes the entire band hated this song as did the hardcore fans. Paul said he could write a hit disco song in like an hour and he did proving that disco was mindless. Interpret it how you want but thats the jist of it

fantastic read. well done.
I've heard that another singer (I'll just say a twin) suggested that they put their makeup back on again. I watched an interview and he was discussing it
Good read
@@friendlyNemesisAbsolutely. Thank you, very much.
I was 15 when Kiss was big. Went to their concert and AC/DC opened for them. Also believe it or not. Gene Simmons says he has never had a drink of alcohol or drugs. His mother was a holocaust survivor and he had respect for her.
Wow, You would expect a man "looking" like that might have abused some things.😢
Drugs and alcohol were not as bad as they are now and so that's pretty incredible.
I saw them live this year, and they were brilliant for two guys in there 70's and two in there 60's
@@melissagerber7231there’s literally pics of gene and Paul smoking and drinking
They were more than make-up, glitter and lipstick, they had A LOT of good, quality songs. Costumers were the finishing touch. People ate it up!

"I'm Pretty Sure That Kiss Is The Group With The Song 'Rock'N'Roll All Night' "
You're absolutely correct, Pegasus
You chose their only disco song. God of Thunder, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun are some of their harder songs. All of them sing. After a 50 year run, they played their last concert Dec 02, 2023 at Madison Square Garden.
Put hair on your chest = it’ll make a man out of you
I got to see them at Louder Than Life in September of 22. WILD
All the original band members did
@@TheSmittenman Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer did also
Focking grew up with Kiss!!! Their music never gets old to me...of course til i look in the mirror, i think im 29, not 58😅
I think I'm 17 again, I'm almost 65, if I knew I was going to live this long I'd would have taken better care of myself LOL

"Are They Wearing High Heels?"
Technically, Pegasus, they're platform boots with a 7" heel on them
K.I.S.S live in concert are such a fun time, seen them several times. Always top notch performers and so fun, loud too lol. "I was made for loving you" was Kiss showing they could write a disco era song and be successful because they said disco music was simple. So in an effort to mock disco music a bit they created a banger lol.
BP....Kiss' biggest hit was "BETH" which was sung by Peter Chris.....the drummer.
A story about being on tour and missing your lady
My absolute favorite KISS song!
@@mcm0324My absolute least favorite Kiss song.
That's funny my brother went to see Queen in 77 Philly they paid $5 look at the prices now
Gosh I remember seeing Kiss in the 90's, it was a brilliant show, can't beat live rock concerts back in the day ✌️
Not to date myself, but the Beatles in '64 was "back in the day" peace.
The lead singer made a bet he could write a hit disco song in an hour and did it!
I started driving in '75. Hmmmm what is old?
This was their foray into disco. They killed it. Probably my favorite KISS song honestly
Kiss had a comic book and each member was a character in the comic. That’s where their costume came from.
LOL I remember first hearing this song on my K-Tel record, and I LOVED it! ❤ Yep, 70's.
Detroit Rock City, Strutter, Calling Dr Love. Great Kiss songs🔥🔥🔥
I remember going with my mum and dad to drop my older brother and sister at rhe KIZZ concert in sth australia in 1980, it was unbelievable the amount of people that went. It was KIZZ MANIA for quite a number of years....damn i miss those days
KISS helped create on stage performance today. They are epic live.
The makeup made it possible for them to go out in public without being known for quite a long time.
The first time I saw them without it was the song
Lick It Up.
The song Beth is really mellow. Great song.
Saw them in Toronto in the 70's and the fans literally destroyed the stadium.
Want to hear another shocker react to Beth by KISS. Amazing song and a total shocker coming from them! One of their greatest IMO.
Some men naturally don't have chest hair. I prefer the ones that do, and I hate when men remove their body hair
Kiss’s DISCO song! 😂 Most hardcore Kiss fans HATE this song; now I’m not a Kiss fan, and I LOVE this song!!!! Four on the floor; Disco forever 🪩🎶🔥😂
Gene was the bass player. Paul Stanley was the primary vocalist but the other members all had their own vocal showcases. Two of the best KISS songs in my opinion (God of Thunder and Black Diamond) were sung by Gene and Peter Criss (the drummer) respectively.
Yes God of thunder you need a live video
woooowwww... yessss.... you finally know something about something my friend 👋👏👏👏👌👍
For Kiss you should react to shout it out loud, I was made for loving you came out in their glam rock years and is somewhat of a different sound than most other Kiss songs. The music video for shout it out loud is from their 1996 reunion tour and shows you how amazing they are live
Grew up listening to them in 1977.
Try Black Diamond from Kiss Alive or Strutter for the same album.
He literally has one ear. It is a birth defect but that is why he's deaf in one ear. Because he only has one.
All right my Black Pegasus... KISS is the epitome of "Shock Rock"‼️ I have seen this band like eight times and have never been disappointed ‼️💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
In one of their documentaries, Paul has said he may be the lead singer of KISS, but Gene is the face of KISS.
This was nr 1 in 1977, I was 9 years old, this was my first introduction into rock. Still love this although it is more disco than rock. I’ve grown into metal along the way 🤟🤣
This was KISS’ one attempt at making a mainstream song. Gene still hates it
This album came out in 1979.
Those shoes are called platform shoes! Great reaction!
Kiss was before my time but I enjoy them. “Calling Dr Love” and “Heavens on Fire”
This was their challenge to write a disco song and it became a hit!
This was a one off for Kiss they wrote this to prove they could write a disco type song and did it. God of Thunder live will show off Gene on vocals and his alter ego as the Demon. Definitely a must see.
As a musician, you should discover 80’s Rock great - Def Leopard (Hysteria- official video)
Amazing musicians. At the hight of their career, their drummer was in a car accident which lead to him losing his arm. The band waited for him to recover and for Rick to learn how to play with one arm and, design a drum kit that would work for him.
It’s amazing to watch.
I saw them live in concert in Brisbane Australia last year and they still sound great
Their live are amazing.
I loooove this song!!! My favorite from Kiss
Staple of all HS parties in Greece during the early 80's. In one occasion I left a party early hearing this song and few houses away in another party they were playing the same song.
You should do more kiss reactions!
Paul Stanley is the singer in this video. He also played the Phantom on stage for a while
They were huge when I was in junior high. My first Halloween dance when I was in 6th grade I went as Paul Stanley (lead singer)
Unfortunately so did about half of the other kids. There were several dressed as other Kiss members as well. 😂 So nostalgic.
Not their best song but I love it ❤
In my opinion they were scary when they took the makeup off 😂 I was so happy when they started wearing the makeup again.
Love it!
The whole band at times were lead singers of songs, but mainly Gene & Paul (lead on this song) Peter Criss (cat) drummer sings their ballad "Beth"
The best KISS song is "I like it Loud". And Beth, by the Drummer of KISS is also amazing, but in a different way...a ballad.
Ty for always keeping me entertained while recovering ❤️🩹 God bless you and your sweet wife and sweet daughter ( & baby too )
Gotta do Beth by Kiss. Hit you in your heart
Kiss was big when I was in elementary school. We thought we were cool.
Did you collect the cards?
Saw them twice.......Super great
It was their Answer to the Disco era in the 70's. KI$$ was bout makin that $$
I have a cousin several years younger than myself. He was into Kiss big time. For Halloween I helped him make his costume. It was wild!
My hubs and I saw them in concert a couple of years ago on Louisville, Ky. They were awesome!
I've Seen them live in Germany last jear. Iconik
This video was filmed in my hometown of Savannah,Ga in 1979 at our civic center. They had 2 shows scheduled. The 1st night sold out. 2nd night they didn't sell as many tickets. They cancelled the 2nd show and filmed the video
I love your eagerness and honesty!
Kiss - heaven's on fire
The first song I ever heard by Kiss was a ballad called "Beth"...such a great little love song. I can't remember the next Rock song that came out by them, but I remember seeing a video of them and was totally floored that it was the same band. Many of their songs I heard on the radio, so don't have the advantage of seeing most of their videos.
I think Beth is their best song
All the members of the "original" band have had their own songs they sing, but Paul Stanley sings most of the songs, they all did solo albums also.
2 PAC’s song the answer is a sample of the Kiss song only you…also 2pac announced their reunion tour at the Grammies in 96.. he was a huge fan
KISS was the very first concert, it was in 1976 and I was only 8 years old.

"I'm Pretty Sure That Kiss Is The Group That Sings 'Rock'N'Roll All Night' "
You're correct, Pegasus. They are the band that played Rock'N'Roll All Night
"Beth" is a must listen to! Totally different vibe!!
They all had a separate album I loved Ace Freely's (the drummer) back in the new York groove definitely one to check out!
Lol 👍🏼
Im sixty now and Kiss was a big back when I was a teenager. Still love them to this day along with Rammstein
This is ‘70s KISS, you should check out ‘90s KISS without makeup and Gene on vocals like Unholy or Domino
Wrong! This was 1979 disco crap
Without make up? They did that once and learned her lesson!
@@jabreck1934once? They didn’t use makeup from 1984-1996.
