Red lentil and moong dal casserole / Autumn Recipes/ Vegan Recipe

  • Ingredients
    1 cup of red lentil
    1/2 cup of moong dal
    1 tsp of garlic paste
    1 tsp of ginger paste
    2 medium size tomatoes, roughly chopped
    1 tsp of ground coriander
    1 tsp of paprika
    3/4 tsp of ground turmeric
    1/2 tsp of crushed black pepper
    2 vegetable stock cubes
    Salt to taste
    For Tempering
    1/2 cup of cooking oil
    4 dried red chilies ( optional)
    1 tsp of cumin seeds
    1/2 of a large onion, sliced
    3/4 cup of chopped garlic chives/ Chinese chives
    Note: Please adjust the spices according to your taste

    This is a twist of a dhal curry. Why not! I'm sure it's just as delicious. I recommend rinsing the lentils well after soaking them in water with a bit of baking soda for an hour or longer for better digestion. Also cooking them in a pressure cooker after that is best for destroying the lectins.
