- One of the characters in The Watchers turns out to be someone other than what they seemed at first. Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of M. Night Shyamalan, made her directing debut with this supernatural horror film, which was adapted from a book by A.M. Shine. Despite the mostly unfavorable reviews of The Watchers, it's likely that audiences will still go to the cinemas to see the picture

Tbh !
I mean its called the watchers‼️
I agree
Absolutely loved this film
Little girl shown at the end may be a mystique from x men
Leaving the end like that is a farce. It's quite idiotic to plug something in at the end with no payoff just to promote a sequel. After the first half... The movie was shallow. Please don't continue. It will only get silly at this point. Some things are better left unsaid.
I thought it was a very good film
You’re shallow and boring
This strengthen my theory that let anybody opinion decide anything in for your life is bullshit because i love the movie it’s got eerie, folklore, mysteries, an actual monster shown, good storyline and there is a big chance for a sequel. Your opinion is like a turd.
The twist ending is better than most. When you see annihilation or knock at the cabin you'll appreciate this more.
The first movie does a good job intriguing the audience with the lore, which they can expand upon in a sequel. If done right, this could become a very popular saga of its own.
I think Im just going to watch this again. I feel like the ending is going over my head, but what an amazing film! Worth another viewing
Agree very well made can’t wait for the sequel I’ve watched this 3 times excellent movie
I think I fully understood it, but it was weird how they didn't really explain the end. I enjoyed it, but not as much as others. I do think, however, there is a good backbone of a story here. If you liked this I highly recommend "The Hallows". I don't want to give too much away but a similar concept from the origin of this story.
Really it's simple twist ending. It's been done many times before ie. Westworld about bots escaping into the real world, ex Machina AI escaping to the world, same idea here. The twist is that Madeleine is Fey but they didn't explain who the other Fey is that cloned Ciara.
Once you understand the subtext, it all becomes clear. This movie is about accepting the duplicity of human nature, the good and the evil. Just like the halflings which are part fey and human, Mina is also battling against the other side of her nature. She's running away from her past, from that part of life where she caused the death of her mother. The internalized guilt has caused her to compartmentalize her life, to split into two sides. She thinks the only way to move forward is to shut the door on the past. The ending helps to bring this theme home. When she was being pinned against the wall by Madeline, she makes a realization. She tells Madeline that she is actually a halfling, part human and part fairy, and it's only by accepting these two sides of her nature that she can start healing. That knowledge changes them for the better.
I really liked the movie
