Hot take! I always hesitate to name the “objective best” fragrances, but I won’t disagree as everyone has their own personal preferences. L’Homme Intense is certainly a special fragrance!

Thank you Rogue for making this content possible!🎉 Even though it took longer than you wanted, it was worth the wait. I just noticed your (records?) change in background! Does the style of music go with the fragrance your reviewing?

Thanks for sticking with me through the issues! I really do appreciate your continued support, you really do help keep me going.
I don’t spend lots of time trying to match the record to the fragrance, but sometimes I find something that works with the fragrance or, my favorite, the logo itself in the case of Versace Eros Flame/Ramsey Lewis - Sun Goddess. The Medusa Head matches the record jacket perfectly.

It is such a good fragrance! I sprayed it on just a few days ago as I had been neglecting it a bit. Love the Iris and leather!

Prada L'homme is daytime office wear. L'homme Intense is sexy evening wear, hence the blacked out bottle.

Good solid point about stronger fragrances killing the nose on the weaker versions or originals. I heard (probably a old wives tale) that using a wiff of coffee or coffee beans helps clear the nose between scents? Not sure if that is true or not. Super soapy scents can be nice but also overbearing sometimes to my nose. Like the Nautica Voyage & even the Y YSL was too soapy for me but the Cool water is subtle soapy.
Not sure what notes do that to me but if a fragrance is too powdery or soapy I'm usually not a fan I've come to notice. "Pour Homme" or "L'Homme". For Men or The Man? What shall it be? I sort of don't get the difference but whatever. My only experience with "L'Homme" was recently trying "Versace Edt Spray, L'homme for Men. The Man for Men. ? Huh? What? Ok. Anyways, yeah that was NOT for me at all it almost smelled like something an old lady would wear. Horrible purchase I gave the bottle to my gardener thankfully he seemed to like it and it was a cheap buy also so I was happy to depart from it. So after some Google research I learned there really is no difference in a L' Homme vs a Pour Homme in regards to notes or fragrances. But, that experience did turn me off from probably ever buying anymore Versace fragrances in the future. And I suppose that isn't being fair to all the other various Versace fragrances "For Men" or "The Men" really. Another hyped up blind buy stupid purchase from me being an idiot. And don't get me started I should have learned the first time blind buying one of the worst ever to me, Lalique Pour Homme EDP. That was the first fragrance I ever returned I swore it was a woman's perfume they scent me. And the bottle didn't say anything about it being "For Men" on it so I guess I was suppose to know that is what Pour Homme meant. Smh head on that bottle. If it's "For Men" then I must be from another Universe. Old folks home/old lady vibes to the max in that one.
I did try recently the Azzaro Pour Homme Cologne for Men and it smelled pretty nice and I'm keeping it. Not outstanding and it might have a little bit younger person's vibe going on it it, but it was mellow and masculine enough for me to hang onto. I also tried Aramis By Aramis for Men edt and it was too soapy and had that old lady smell vibe going on with it. And it was also suppose to be a "classy" old masculine scent. Another cheapie at least so I gave to a friend who seemed to like it more than I did. But, the Aramis HAVANA edt had a super unique barber shop classy-ish masculine beachy scent going on with it and I like it a lot, but man is it strong. IDK I haven't check out the notes in Havana but that one I liked enough to keep. Is a tad on the sweet side for me (I usually don't like that), but so unique and nice smelling I had to keep it.
I'm anal also when it comes to the sprayer being in the front. Hopefully some day you'll find one that doesn't spin. And hopefully it will be pointed in the front and not stuck somewhere else on the bottle. lol
Well, have a great week in whatever fragrance you try out this coming week. I was wondering & waiting for this next review. Really enjoy your vids and look forward to them.
Peace out Geoff. Be well & stay warm my friend the season's are slowly changing and I will be sweating more soon. Assuming I bother to go outside in any hot weather. Haha.

Yeah I had not really expected the effect to be so pronounced, but the strength of the Intense version made the original smell like absolutely nothing. I’m going to have to revisit Success when my nose has a couple days off and see if it’s different at all. I bet it will be.
I always just assumed the naming convention was just a difference in language, depending on if the brand was French or Italian or otherwise and that they’d slap it on their flagship stink and push it lazily into the world. I could of course be wrong.
Is that the Azzaro Pour Homme Cologne Intense? Or is it the original Azzaro Pour Homme? There’s actually a bunch of different flankers in that line and I was just looking at them in my collection the other day. A few of them look even look like they’re marketed more for the summer🤔 (not counting the literal summer one 🤣).
I always assume things named Havana would have something to do with a tobacco and looking at the notes it looks to be so. Actually it looks pretty intriguing and isn’t for sale on FragranceNet right now.
I actually got a stink with the nozzle facing forward! I opened Carthusia - Essence Of The Park the other day and the quality presentation of the niche brand really shows here. They got the nozzle facing the right way, the bottle is clearly made for *that* brand, and the box insert was way nicer than usual. As for the scent? It’s taken a bit, but it’s really growing on me.
Sorry for the delays. Thanks for taking the time to chat with me, I always appreciate it 😊

@@BlindBuysFragrance I didn't even see or notice that they made a Azzaro Pour Home Cologne Intense. It could be better I haven't a clue. The one I got was the regular Azzaro Pour Homme Cologne for Men. It's like a mid-range masculine scent. I didn't smell anything unisex about it, but it does have a bit younger (30s guy) vibe going on it. It was cheap enough & nice enough for me to hang onto for only $30 for a 3.4oz bottle. Not super unique smelling but did feel modern masculine in a 1990s way I would call it. More of a date night type fragrance or even a daily wear at the office I suppose also.
I usually shy away from the "Intense" versions only because I heard that Cool Water Intense smelled absolutely nothing like the original Cool Water. A totally different scent.
I did however really like that Bentley Intense For Men EDP but I never smelled the regular version before so I haven't a clue on that one either. The Bentley Intense For Men EDP is 100% only a once in a blue moon wear because it's a beast performer, totally unique smelling power house and totally has that rich man classy masculinity vibe going on in it. My daughter said it it was an intimidating scent to her like a bad ass older boss/CEO type rich guy scent. ? I thought, "Cool that's totally not me but I'll be boss, bad ass & rich smelling wearing it." Haha.
No worries about any delays. We all have a life to live & other priorities to attend to in life.
I always look forward to your reviews & what you wore for the week. :)

Yeah there’s a whole slew of different ones! Cologne Intense and L’Eau seem like the more warm weather focused fragrances, as well as the summer. They look pretty neat all together, I think, and the original must’ve been good enough to have spawned as many flankers as it did.
Generally I try to ignore naming convention, but it’s so easy to fall prey to it. I’d hate to miss out on something good because I don’t agree with the naming of it, but I do form opinions on items pretty quickly just based on name as well.

i wasn't a fan of Prada L'homme so i never tried the Intense version 😢 all i got was a basic, powdery, creamy vanilla scent. kinda gave me bingo night at the nursing/retirement home, old lady-ish vibes. will never understand the hype around the original. felt very feminine and was just super disappointed by it, unfortunately.

Hey brother, don’t forget that fragrance is one of the most subjective arts there is and that you don’t have to like every stink out there just because it gets a lot of hype. The intense L’homme is much better, but I can see how the original would be off-putting to you. It’s honestly not one of my favorites, either! Hope you have a wonderful day 😀

@BlindBuysFragrance i tend to have to blind buy, as my fragrance community is relatively small. a Sephora inside of a Kohl's, a Dillard's and an Ulta Beauty is all i got. none carry any of the l'hommes in store so my go to is RUclips before i order online 🤣 Prada L'homme was my first and only blind buy fail 😩 would love to hear your thoughts on Floris London fragrances, specifically Jermyn Street if you ever get your nose on that one 😬 lovin your content
