Sarnath Ashoka Pillar

Ashok idol most likely refers to the Ashoka Pillar or Ashoka Stambha, which is a pillar of polished sandstone that was erected during the reign of the Indian emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE. The pillar is about 15 meters tall and is decorated with four lions standing back to back, which has now become the emblem of the modern Indian republic.
The Ashoka Pillar was originally erected at the site of the Buddha's enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India. However, during the Islamic invasions of India, the pillar was dismantled and taken to Delhi, where it currently stands in the courtyard of the Feroz Shah Kotla Fort.
