While i struggled with the first too now i'm on the opposite spectrum, i just stay out of kuroki's attacks her first phase then close in to attack her after her combos, the 2nd phase is what keeps killing me, the fucking kunai throws keep throwing me off
It becomes much easier when you keep parrying and blocking on time . Preferably with a bat . There's no need to dodge any attack as long as you're parrying . It's ez
Once you learn how to defeat the boss it’s easy I struggled with Sean at first now I can pretty much do him no damage taken every time just got to learn his moves and dodge them lol
Kuroki was by far the hardest boss fight I've ever done. Not just in Sifu, but in gaming overall. I think my main problem with her is that a lot of her moves are similar looking. The "high-low" thing are very similar looking, so there's absolutely no way to tell whether she's going to throw a high or a low. Sean was easy by comparison since with Sean he can easily be telegraphed whether he'd do a high or a low. Thus he was easy to dodge and in turn easy to defeat. Its the guessing game which always messes with my mind with Kuroki.
Thank u so much. The first phase has been the hardest boss battle for me. I checked other guides and I don't like the idea of running away and getting a jab or 2 in. I want to learn to evade her. Im starting to get the hang of it but....my god! the 4th boss is soo much easier. Beat it in one try 💀
Damn, I love this level. Not only the boss stage, but also all the way leading to it is very beautifully designed. I think the start of the boss fight is a reference to Sekiro (the old man making wooden buddhas, who has also a theme of rage and wrath surrounding him) and to Kill Bill (O-Ren Ishii, also Chinese-Japanese, fight taking place in snow and I think she also had a similar hairstyle).
I normally just dodge out of her way. I find trying to avoid or parry is very risky because getting hit will reduce structure and health significantly furthermore MC will be knocked down.
@@phucth91 If you turn your back to her whilst she’s running at you in phase 2 (flowing claw helps) You can cancel that whole combo with a crotch punch, leaving her stunned
One small thing to add. I find it much better to go through the first and second floor the normal way. Why? Because that way I can get more xp and high score without suffering overly harsh combat encounters and making my death counter shoot through the roof and one other reason. The shrines. There are 3 in the museum accessible that way as opposed to 1 by going straight to the elevator. One on the second floor in the last room of the exibit before the stairs (room with giant kunai), one on the top floor, and one before the fight itself. This way you can get 2 more upgrades at the cost of 3 more minutes and uprades such as focus gain or structure gain really come in handy.
if you go through the exhibition on the 2nd floor and then fight the staff pole lady you can also get all three shrine blessings without particularly hard fights
My dumb ass was trying to memorize patterns for the first phase when all you really need to do is keep your distance when she's swinging away. Great content by the way. This helped.
3:00 the best thing I've learned is to spam the Parry Button (L1 or LB) with a Bat or a Staff for this attack. When you have a weapon, you avoid taking damage and you damage her structure in the process. Thank you for that *Down Up Up Down Up* combo, I couldn't figure that out at all!
This guide is so much better than other one which tells you to wait for specific strings and prolongs first phase. With htis guide I can just jump into her swings and fuck up her posture while racking up my Focus to quickly push to phase 2 which is honestly easy as fuck - better dodges, telegraphed moves, ability to catch her throws to throw em back... Good job!
2:45 there are no left/right evades, only down. Evading down will dodge all of these attacks. Basically, evading left/right/down is just the same thing, pick a direction you are more comfortable with and stick to it. PS: thnx for the video, was looking for good attack patterns analysis for that boss.
Thank you very much, before watching this video i always died once in the first fight, now after watching this i didn't die at all for the first time ever
i manage to beat her but get too many deaths in my first try. Feel almost like luck (the first phase). Ive been training to learn her moveset wich at first felt like unavoidable but get to understand the fight a little. You show me I was in the right direction. Great video. what a boomer tthe death u got
In the first phase, I just keep circling around one of those snow rock structure thingy...As soon as she finishes her moves, strike immediately for good damage. Do this on repeat.
Hahaha thanks mate ... I had to go back to work full time! Also made another channel for gameplay but really wanted to get back on with this channel finally tho
It is completely possible to have 3 points in parry impact at this point. I highly recommend this. The easiest way is to skip the first shrine in the club, don't take the shortcut, and loop back around to the first shrine with 5000 level score. If you get hit, calbot is your best friend for keeping your multiplier at 5x. The best part is even if you die more times doing this, just start and restart the next level, and your death counter will be at the lowest number that you've reached the level at, but your shrines remain the same.
you can parry everything, the biggest of them all is when she does the sideways helicopter on first phase, you can get so much structure damage from deflecting all those hits alone, just spam the block button
Nice job. Finally somebody show how to NOT cheese the boss. However I think the low guard is the big letdown of sifu. The game doesn't give enough time to react to low attack. Here the player has to learn the combos to dodge them properly. Because that's just almost impossible to react. Replace that 4-5 combos by random combos alternating highs and lows but giving the player more time to react, and that would have been way more fun and could have been more challenging. Actually I came here just to verify that we had to learn to dodge her properly and that my reflexes were not sub par.
The second phase is all about those eyes. The first time you fight her and she does her transformation, the second those death peepers pop you're immediately on the back foot.
First phase is like endurance test. You can easily make a distance when she attack and beat her in between then step back and do it again. Phase 2 is really hard without weapon catch, hard to dodge and once I was close to her and hit with like 4 kunai and instantly die. Get that weapon catch and phase 2 become a lot easier.
The easiest attack its the one she puts the weapon behind her and only does high lateral attacks and the one you said to avoid it's one of the easiest ones to dodge, one of the hardest is that one with 3 lows, 1 high and 1 low that you attacked, that is, because without doing a block on the high (which you did with a weapon) you get staggered and you can't dodge the last one, which means getting downed, losing lots of health (parrying her without anything already loses hp - in case we have no weapon) and you risk losing health on the ground and not hitting her. The one you need to necessarily avoid its one she practically pursues you swirling the weapon to the sides at mach speeds, which is practically impossible to dodge, you need to parry and she doesn't stop until she hits you btw. Another wrong thing to do it's to avoid the mission completely from the start, bc you lose precious shrines, I would say that losing 1 life only to her is better than losing 3 shrines. You can pretty much avoid half of the mission and still get 3 shrines in this mission. (1) You do the first whole part for the 1st shrine, second part you kill the elite with 1 shot of knife (use focus to stun, then hold heavy until you hear a grunt and stab the elite and she 'dead' 1 hit kill and you have the focus back); (2) second you use the keys IF you got all of them to go around the hallways to the stairs and grab the another shirne without going through the mobs; (3) you finally use the elevator and grab the last shrine before the fight.
I’ve beaten her four times now total, but her second phase is a little ridiculous because the kunai seem to have unlimited range, from the close throws (which the boss spams when you are close to death btw), and the long range ones that yes, you can catch, but the timing is a big question mark as it feels like the timing isn’t generally the same. Could be reading it too slow, but it feels off to me. Good video. My takeaway, which I learned recently, was to not use the focus attack until *after* you dodge her close range attacks. If she has moved back or charging, the timing is very difficult to use it then.
The way i beat her is to parry all her attack and get her structure real high then hit her once in awhile to get that takedown , for me parrying her is much easier avoiding
Hello good sir, great video! I have a question though - can you write down combo you are using to punish on phase 1, for example at 3:32 ? Is it light + light + light + heavy, sprint + light?
So by using the elevator after facing the two guys in the atrium, are you not losing out on two of those shrine things that let you upgrade? Im trying to beat the all the enemies necessary to get all 3 shrines and I’ve narrowed down which rooms to enter and which to avoid but I really feel like its not worth it to rush straight up to the boss and lose those upgrades
The aerial knife throw aren't really hard. But the throw she does when standing still tho... (5:31 I didn't know until now that's how she jump 🤣. I fr though she does a flip since it's too fast )

do you really need to sway left and right? i think swaying the analog stick down will dodge every upper hits and the analog stick up will dodge low hits
Dude. I have been playing this game in offline for months since release. I just updated today and they fucked up her combo that you usually weave to avoid at the end and punish. It doesn’t avoid the last hit for shit. They like changed the timing of hella boss moves and parry/block/weak windows. I beat the ever living shit out of the fighter without a scratch that used to be harder but just got murdered all the way to 67 on kuroki first stage when I normally easily beat her using this strat. This shit is way smaller window or something is off and second phase is easier then before. So aggravating.
Weird thing to me is that in her phase 1 I can't read her at all, and in the 2nd phase she literally signals when you have to dodge or makes a sound cue.
My man, can you do guide on how to spare bosses? I mean, guide on parry timings, best ways to break their structure, that thing. I've started it, and I just cannot figure out boss parries. Some attack go through, some I parry but it doesn't seem to break their posture. I barely scraped past Fajar and he almost died before I got to spare, I shudder to imagine what next bosses would do. Especially Artist - how do I parry her second phase?! Help me please
Quick tip if you get the skill that allows you to grab weapons when thrown at you. You can parry most of her attacks. When she throws those knife at you. Parry to grab one. You no longer will take chip damage when she’s attacking you if you parry or block. Only attack when you have a opportunity and focus on parrying all her strikes when she gets up close to you and avoid when she does that jump kick toward you. You can parry basically all boss moves of any combo as long as it’s not the last hit in their combo. You always have to dodge those. I’m away from the game but there’s a skill that is up up square that is like a low punch that if you avoid any boss last strike of their combo and follow up with that move then do triangle triangle it will kill their structure bar.
In a game where you have 5 different ways of dodging, blocking and evading, I find it extremely stupid that the easiest way to beat her is to run away and not bother with those techniques. This fight made me stop playing the game, because I stopped having fun. I like a challenge but when you first start this fight, nothing you have been doing up to this point seems to works on her. Either you need to learn every single one of her rapid and confusing combos or run away like a bitch. Sifu is a great game, but why does a developer put a fight like this near the mid point? Repeating a levels 5 times to perfect it is one thing, but I rather play another game than to study this Lady's moves for hours and I refuse to run away and land two hits every 5 minutes.
I agree tbh, not gonna stop playing because I want to finish the game and I love the game but she’s just too fast and and I’m too impatient, maybe I’m not enough of a nerd to play for hours and hours and perfect all the timing. Such a shame because I love the challenge of getting through the levels but hate when bosses are just too strong, got the same issue with Elden ring.
her overhead slash down on the ground keeps hitting me even though i spot dodge left or right, i was getting pissed and confused because I'm 100% possitive I can avoid that left or right, but it would still hit me, I don't fucking get it, its an obvious move that i can see, but it still hits me even though it shouldnt
Games cool but the game response seems broken af. I'll block perfectly, go and do the same block, no goes right through. Or you block and go to attack an opening, nope pressed the buttons but didn't do the action to which the enemy are much faster so they attack immediately. I can do Blocks and stuff perfectly in training but in levels doing the exact same Blocks against easy enemy nah get my ass handed to me cause nothing registers. This is on Student difficulty as well.
Just parry with a bat bruh. Its way too easy as she is slow af. Also that frenzy vertical tornado thingy is best countered with parry it fill focus very rapidly.
The first phase is by far the hardest encounter i’ve dealt with but the second one felt like a free win

I’m away from the game but there’s a skill that is up up square that is like a low punch that if you avoid any boss last strike of their combo and follow up with that move then do triangle triangle it will kill their structure bar.
best with knife, 1st phase she cant even dodge or move if u know the knife combo
What’s the knife combo
Your really good. I don't think i can do it. She's just too hard lol
Witch way do you dodge when she jumps
Man I’m been struggling to get out of the first phase. And when I make it to phase 2, I’m too old and really no point of trying to beat it
Phase 2 is a cake walk.
@@8minato I finally figured it out. Took awhile but eventually got it
@@h-towncoasters9163 how? Miniboss with pole is the worst, impossible to avoid their attacks.
@@meraclechamlotte9291 Big facts! I can’t stand them.
is it just me or is her reflection in the water her orignal form? thats kind of neat
What button do you press to kick her to the back like that ?
2:08, how do we evade left/right, L1 + left/right? i keep triggering high/low dodge instead
He’s wrong there is no left and right, only down and up
this one is hard but its my fav
The first faze is the hardest I get my ass beat then I'm stuck with like 1 or 2 lives faze 2
First fase its cake if u have the long stick but i keep fuckin dying on the second phase
This vid is far less cowardly than most others
Bro I had to subscribe to u
Thanks dude
Ironically the second phase is far far more predictable and easy to counter. First phase is the real dangerous one.
Honestly, I beat the 5 bosses and she is the hardest one.
The fourth is a joke beside her xD
her overhead slash down on the ground keeps hitting me even though i spot dodge left or right, i was getting pissed and confused because I'm 100% possitive I can avoid that left or right, but it would still hit me, I don't fucking get it, its an obvious move that i can see, but it still hits me even though it shouldnt
Maybe its just me, but I thought the second attack was WAY, and I mean WAY, easier then one.
No way someone actually thinks Yang is harder boss.
U won't get any upgrades if u go straight there
I will probably never beat this game...
I love this game but hate it so much.
She is my braking point 😭
If I can do it, anyone can. Don't give up!
ive found a better solution guys use a bladed weapon and spam crotch punch move with the blade
u can infinite stunlock her
thats an exploit tho g
@@scrums4748 well ye a cheese to get through her fast
Until the knife breaks...
@@rschmidt93 the knife actually doesnt break when u use the crotch punch move
Good tip for those that want a fast win... personally for me I wanted to get good enough to beat her with style
Wtf does evade mean do you mean dodge?
Just parry with a bat bruh. Its way too easy as she is slow af. Also that frenzy vertical tornado thingy is best countered with parry it fill focus very rapidly.
I beat her at 28 can’t get lower than that She has to many moves phase 1 to remember all avoids
Can’t beat yang or granny without dying game getting deleted fr smh
@@TanoTheGod I regret buying this game. I want my money back
@@meraclechamlotte9291 lmao I got better I’ve beaten all the bosses besides Yang at 20. Just gotta learn patterns bro
@@TanoTheGod pole miniboss and martial artists in the museum always kill me. Can't dodge their attacks at all.
What is this game?
