I can't believe I missed these two vlogs. Apologies for not watching sooner. Great images and as Brits I don't think we can quite comprehend the idea of a lake so huge it gets waves large enough to wash people of the pier.

Thanks for watching. The Great Lakes are massive. There have been many shipwrecks and lives lost on them. Mini oceans without the tides and salt.

Another great video Jim! I really like the way the photos look with that vintage lens. Almost like a painting. Definitely a much nicer day for photography and the images were fantastic! Brought back some memories of these two lighthouses as I've been to both of them a few times! Always great to see Michelle in the video! Hope you both are doing well! Have a great weekend!

Lots of compression with that 200mm lens. Amazingly sharp at f/11. I still ordered that Fuji 50-140. It’s supposedly just as sharp at f/2.8.
Michelle is starting to play around with the DJI Pocket 2. I did tell her it was her camera… 🤔

It was crazy to see the waves yesterday 😮 You probably see those a lot in Florida and the ocean?

@@michellefisher724 every now and then! I've seen those kind of waves on Lake Michigan and Superior before when we lived up there! So cool to think that a lake can have those huge waves!

Nice follow up too - I wonder why the elected not to have railings on the pier, purely aesthetic or a more organic reasoning?!

Not sure. The memorial set a pretty somber tone to the pier walk. Michelle didn’t like the pier at all. She walked between the supports all the way out.

Great question. I’ll have to research that!
