I'm so proud of this channel. I've been watching for along time and you go from strength to strength. We enjoy the content and we enjoy you and Chris. Keep going from strength to strength.
We use a 1996 double cab 2.4d Japanese import, only 26,000 miles and its one of the greatest vehicles I've ever driven. Incredible off-road performance, takes anything you can give it. Often load it up with a ton load on the rear while off-roading getting to sites.
Only problem with doing something like that is the show usually becomes full of drama and bullshit. Leave it on RUclips how the boys are doing it now! I barely watch normal tv any more. So much better stuff from private RUclips channels
Remain on youtube, but having said that if a documentary maker decided to complete a series, showing how they work to complete rebuilds to such a high standard, it may be worth Rob and Chris's time, as it would be monetarily beneficial and also increase their youtube presence.
Once again it amazes me what you guys take on. Most would be crying after seeing the state of that body but you take it all in your stride, no moaning, no swearing, you just crack on. Positive attitude and great team work 10 out of 10 boys. Love the WD40 can Rob. See you in the next one!
Sorry for delay with the tub, like how the hiab again came in handy after the viva, liked how you dressed up chassis ladder frame, springs, axle & diff. Good time to salvage lighting & mudflaps if parts still getting a bit rare, think you said an 02 model, let me know your progress Chris. 😎👌👍
Heard a saying from Australia that went something like "A Land Rover will drive you into the Outback, but a Toyota will get you out"! Great work fellas. Stay safe and well
Down to the breakers , find an old transit , cut the floor out of the back of it , Chris with a few box sections and a welder , job done , lol .... looking forward to seeing how this one goes , cheers rob 👍
Love the comment when looking at the underside of the tub, “it’s a bit crispy” 😂 these are bombproof motors, we used them on motorway sites running up and down for miles in muck and bullets, power wash down every night in the yard, oil check and ready to rock the next day. Some had 200k plus miles on and a hard life, but there was always a market for them. Another really interesting project. 👍😎
I had one of these when I was working in Western Australia, as does nearly everyone else there. Never had any real issues. When I sold it was on about 450,000km, still starting first pop and running sweetly. 👍
Hi Rob and Chris they are great them toyotas and the engine sounded spot on. Reminded me of a car I bought some years ago off an old gent. It had a towbar on it and I asked him what he'd used it for he said for towing a little boat I had. When I got it home on closer inspection the boot floor was like paper and rear hubs and brakes were rusty as hell he'd obviously launched and retrieved his boat in salt water several times!! So out came the hamerrite and underseal and was sold quick!! Great video and can't wait for next exciting episode thanks.
The chassis section certainly looks infinitely better with the stone chip covering, it freshens it up, hope you find a suitable body for it, great work as always guys!!.
Good to have the chance to refresh whilst the rear is off. Rob brushed up more rust from that floor than the Barber did last week after my first haircut since December. In the old days my Grandfather would have finished a surface like that by brushing on Hammerite. Thank you.
Yay, a new episode. Love your channel sir. Too bad Toyota trucks rust underneath at the first sign of moisture. And I learned today that a truck bed is called a tub!
I'm not mechanically minded, but I love these videos......it's the way you're willing to take on practically anything......attitude's everything if you want to succeed......
Always something different from you guys love it when you do commercial vehicles. That's one useful motor, thanks for brightening a dismal Monday for me
I just luv this channel, these two guys are so dedicated to each and everyone of their projects, we all know how hard you guys work to put this content together and I'm sure I can speak for all that follow you that we're all so proud of you. I think the WD40 can is Awesome, they need print the matching Chris can and run them as a limited edition set 👍👍😀😀😀
Just watched, I had that exact model, EX no carpets with umbrella handbrake. Great reliable things, just a tad slow. They are in real demand still, mk5 . I will share this link onto a Hilux group I’m on so hopefully get a good few more subscribers. My 2006 Hilux still plods on, so reliable with just a service each year. Owned it 12 years now. Great video thanks👍
Great to see something completely different as you take on the Toyota. The underside of that tub was in quote a state, good luck with your search for a replacement. The WD-40 can was a well deserved tribute to you both for such a great channel. It was nice that Chris took the time to answer so many of the questions that came after the Viva video, and gave you a break too Rob. Looking forward to part 2 of the Toyata rebuild.
Can’t fault Chris’s enthusiasm Rob for being a perfectionist top bloke the pair of you another great video hope there’s another one before the end of the week and the start of the viva rebuild video I really do enjoy watching yous guys attention to detail is everything 👍
Lovely looking truck, great presentation Rob as always and I'm sure you'll sought it out, looks like something Chris will want! Love to see an outake video or bloopers including the cows! Keep up the great content guys
Another fabulous video from the 2 most genuine people on you tube..... a bit of a mad idea but, could you fabricate a back for that 4x4 and make it into a small vehicle transporter, say for quads, motorbikes or even smaller cars to save you taking the big truck out? That would be awesome 🤔
Excellent work again lads. No wander wd are sponsoring you. So addictive, and I really look forward to watching every episode. I've even skipped passed eds garage to watch you guys first. Who don't love ed china, but it just goes to show how great you guys have done. And are doing 👍👍👍👍👍
Chris could always get the woodworking tools out, it would look good with a varnished wood ,drop side body on it, come on WD 40 lets have those tins for sale brilliant guys well done again
My brother ran Golden Arrow (Sudan) the biggest Toyota dealer in Africa. Land Cruisers and HIlux either ended up with the UN or with a machine gun mounted on the tub!
Vans (HiAce, Mitsubishi L300, Mazda E2200, etc.) apparently ended up with all the rear seats replaced with wooden benches to seat at least twice as many passengers as the manufacturer intended.
My heart popped out my chest brought back so many memories I drove one in the army is Cyprus. We acquired it for running around the camp and down to the workshops it was an absolute work horse. If they had let me have it I would have drove it back to the uk. 👍. Have you tried website called “find a part” just put in vehicle details and what you want it searches all uk scrap yards.
Usual high standard episode guys, nice to see a truck on the channel geez though what a mess the floor is I get the feeling you’re going to have to repair it, if you can get the parts. Looking forward to the next episode 👍 Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave 👍😎🏴
Love the change to a pick up.this one is going to be interesting.you know you made it when you get your mug on a can.keep it up my friend,we are all watching.🤗
Great vid guy’s, getting a sponsorship from WD40 must be like getting a BAFTA award well done, you could always make your own tub 🛀 Chris’s new hot tub.
I Love the variety of your channel . Car based but a bit of everything from jet ski to motorhomes to pick ups .really entertaining thank you both once again 👌
Oh guys!!! Lovely vid. Shame about the tub. What about creating a new base out of box section using the existing exterior panels and laying cedar on the floor with some varnish to finish off? Seen it done elsewhere and looks amazing. Good luck boys.😎👍
A sponsors dream ...... two genuine guys with skills to match their integrity. Richly deserved chaps 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

And never fails to start..
i can see this ending up being a Discovery Channel programme in the future, one of the best channels on youtube
Yeah I can see rob and Chris in either ancient aliens or oak island 😂 👍👍
@@chip1pan i was thinking Gold divers😁 Joking aside this is better than half the stuff on TV
Only problem with doing something like that is the show usually becomes full of drama and bullshit. Leave it on RUclips how the boys are doing it now! I barely watch normal tv any more. So much better stuff from private RUclips channels
Wayne fully agree with that statement.Tv is rubbish.
Remain on youtube, but having said that if a documentary maker decided to complete a series, showing how they work to complete rebuilds to such a high standard, it may be worth Rob and Chris's time, as it would be monetarily beneficial and also increase their youtube presence.
It's great that you're both getting sponsorship, credit to all the work you've both put in! You were very tasteful and honest with the advert as well
Chris is such a perfectionist even with preparation of the dust sheets 👍
Once again it amazes me what you guys take on. Most would be crying after seeing the state of that body but you take it all in your stride, no moaning, no swearing, you just crack on. Positive attitude and great team work 10 out of 10 boys. Love the WD40 can Rob. See you in the next one!
For rust penetration I prefer PB Blaster over WD40. :-)
Well said, and totally concur.😎👌👍
Sorry for delay with the tub, like how the hiab again came in handy after the viva, liked how you dressed up chassis ladder frame, springs, axle & diff.

A real tonic your videos !
Down to the breakers , find an old transit , cut the floor out of the back of it , Chris with a few box sections and a welder , job done , lol .... looking forward to seeing how this one goes , cheers rob 👍
You two guys are the best .... two genuine blokes who do great things with all these vehicles
Brilliant video love the wd40 can ! once again Chris has Brilliant attention to detail as always
Love the comment when looking at the underside of the tub, “it’s a bit crispy” 😂 these are bombproof motors, we used them on motorway sites running up and down for miles in muck and bullets, power wash down every night in the yard, oil check and ready to rock the next day. I've watched 3 minutes of the video and i'm saying Chris needs to keep this
I used to watch your first videos and havent been around but cannot believe that you now edit your videos. Fair play.
I had one of these when I was working in Western Australia, as does nearly everyone else there. Never had any real issues. When I sold it was on about 450,000km, still starting first pop and running sweetly. 👍
Lovely Jubbly, nice find Rob & Chris.
Love these kind of vehicles very rare now. Great work guys! 👍👍

WD 40 should produce a limited number of the Salvage Rebuild WD 40 can for sale to your subscribers.
It would sell out it minutes.👍👍
Like mighty car mods
But would they sell any in the USA?
The chassis section certainly looks infinitely better with the stone chip covering, it freshens it up, hope you find a suitable body for it, great work as always guys!!.
You know you've made it in life when you end up on a can of WD-40. Nice one.
Good to have the chance to refresh whilst the rear is off. Rob brushed up more rust from that floor than the Barber did last week after my first haircut since December. In the old days my Grandfather would have finished a surface like that by brushing on Hammerite. Thank you.
You two deserve a telly program, best channel on motors by a country mile ,🇬🇧👍🏼
Nice job on the stone chip, looks really great now!
Yay, a new episode. Love your channel sir. Too bad Toyota trucks rust underneath at the first sign of moisture. And I learned today that a truck bed is called a tub!
Here in Australia it would be called a twin tub Ute ...
Great video from both of you once again. Love the variety and effort from the dynamic duo, Rob and Chris.
I'm not mechanically minded, but I love these videos......it's the way you're willing to take on practically anything......attitude's everything if you want to succeed......

Great Video! Thanks Rob& Chris
You’re welcome buddy thank you for the appreciation and the support 👍
Not watched it yet, but have had Hiluxes for 15 years, bet it’s chassis rust. I get mine treated every 2 years, looking forward to watching later👍
Chassis is fine 👍

This is the content I love; something a bit less run of the mill!
Hope you and Chris have had a good weekend and hope you are staying safe and well

This is going to be a brilliant project, cant wait for Wednesday, get involved guys ,brilliant viewing

The ones they have in Africa, come with an anti aircraft gun welded in the back Rob.
Its on the option list from Toyota I think. OEM
Pmsl 😂
The good old Toyota Technical
Wasn’t there a US pick up complete with blokes name on it that the taliban were using ? 🤦♂️
@@iainf shhhh, don't ask awkward questions ;) It was AQ and it was in Syria I believe.
Another great video guys, what great teamwork and an awesome little project.
Good idea sealing that chassis. Interesting to see what you do to the tub
Just discovered your channel, love it. You guys run a nice clean shop.👍👍
Great truck, nice to see something a bit different. Love the WD40 can and well done you two on getting some sponsorship.
Looks like it’s going to be a interesting project lads 👌👍
Love these old Toyota Hilux's really looking forward to seeing more videos on this one guys, wondering if Chris will be wanting to keep this one.. 🙂
Can’t fault Chris’s enthusiasm Rob for being a perfectionist top bloke the pair of you another great video hope there’s another one before the end of the week and the start of the viva rebuild video I really do enjoy watching yous guys attention to detail is everything 👍
This is what it’s all about, variety. A good mix of aspirational, attainable and something a bit left field. Nicely done as always.......
Great vehicle maybe you could modify a newer tub as you have a template with the old one 🤔 interesting one guys 👍
Lovely looking truck, great presentation Rob as always and I'm sure you'll sought it out, looks like something Chris will want! Love to see an outake video or bloopers including the cows! Keep up the great content guys
It was nice of WD-40 to do that but I am a bit disappointed they didn’t put a pic of you both on it, after all salvage rebuilds are you and Chris
Like mighty car mods
Great video again lads we had load of them in the mine I worked in we had same problem with the tubes . When the mine closed 90% of them was scrapped
Very unusual but very interesting 👌 love the way chris just sneaks in and does stuff all the time 😂😂
Perfect start to the week. Sure you'll get the hilux sorted and work the salvage rebuilds magic on it.
Loving the WD-40 can, just need one to go next to it with Chris on saying “Man of many talents!”
"but few words!"

Cracking video guys. Hope you can get a replacement tub for it.
Chris could always get the woodworking tools out, it would look good with a varnished wood ,drop side body on it, come on WD 40 lets have those tins for sale brilliant guys well done again
Great work Rob & Chris
Finally a decent motor 😁
Great video as always. Perfect opportunity with the truck to make a custom tipper body. 👍
My brother ran Golden Arrow (Sudan) the biggest Toyota dealer in Africa. Land Cruisers and HIlux either ended up with the UN or with a machine gun mounted on the tub!

Great project and really interesting and different, thanks guys 👍
Nice project, lads, and a bit different. And well deserved support from WD40.👍
Love these trucks, always wanted one. Good shout on filming this one guys.
I genuinely can’t wait for each vid to come out, love everything you do. When are the TV producers gonna come a knocking ???
My heart popped out my chest brought back so many memories I drove one in the army is Cyprus. We acquired it for running around the camp and down to the workshops it was an absolute work horse. If they had let me have it I would have drove it back to the uk. 👍. Have you tried website called “find a part” just put in vehicle details and what you want it searches all uk scrap yards.
Chris soo should of got a personalized wd40 can too.. great vid as per. Wd is a big trusted name, it really has 100s of uses..
Usual high standard episode guys, nice to see a truck on the channel geez though what a mess the floor is I get the feeling you’re going to have to repair it, if you can get the parts.
Looking forward to the next episode 👍
Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave 👍😎🏴
Rob, I think you should be flattered that WD-40 deem you as an influencer 😂
Fantastic; the dynamic duo get to restore an Hilux, the pickup that refuses to die.
Brilliant content 👍🏻
looking at the mot history, ( me being nosey) its had tons of adviserys imo someones only looked after the body work and not the oily parts
Another great project. You have the skills, fabricate the floor and cross members yourself. I enjoy all the video content. Keep up the good work.😊
You have got more followers then Ed China now well done lads
Plus this has less rust than Ed’s project. Maybe you should team up.
That truck looks amazing for the year! Can’t wait for the completion. Thanks guys.
Evening all, interested after the Instagram teaser...
Looking forward to seeing you jetwash those seats Rob! 👍😊
good work
I Love the variety of your channel . Car based but a bit of everything from jet ski to motorhomes to pick ups .really entertaining thank you both once again 👌
Keep all them Tin Worms on that tub out the workshop guys, they might migrate onto Chris's Viva.
Love the old camprvans 👍😊
We 40 that was brilliant
Oh guys!!! Lovely vid. Shame about the tub. What about creating a new base out of box section using the existing exterior panels and laying cedar on the floor with some varnish to finish off? Seen it done elsewhere and looks amazing. Good luck boys.😎👍

These TOYOTA/LEXUS cars are super reliable and built like TANKS.
Great job and a amazing video you guys never fail to keep me entertained.

At last something different ! Awesome guys. 👍🏽😎
I worked for a bodyshop back in the eighties, used that shultz lots, good stuff guys.
Awesome call on Chris's part putting on that sealer to stop the rust nice improvement overall.
