i’ve been watching sci show for a while but i really can’t explain how much it means to see another native woman who is studying what i want to study working on one of my favorite channels... it seems kinda small but i’m a simple 2s and i can’t really express how much it means to me to see other natives doing what i wanna do
its kind of unfortunate that society makes you feel like you can't just do whatever you regardless of your ethnicity.
It wasn't until your comment that I even noticed she was native. Just thought she is a good looking lady speaking well. Now that I know that, I still say is a good looking lady speaking well.

Actually, the B-2 is completely unstable in flight, requiring a compensator to make dozens of minor course corrections per second to keep the plane in the sky. It's so inherently unstable that if the compensator croaks the pilot is automatically ejected because no human alive could control it without the compensator.
Oh my gosh, that's crazy.
Indeed and it is so important that the B-2 actually has 3 completely independent flight computers that were designed independently by 3 different teams. That way each one will have different software bugs and there will not be any scenario that could cause all 3 of them to malfunction or so it was hoped.
Just have to say this to anyone who is a flat earther watching this video. Spiders using electric fields for flight does not mean gravity is fake and the electric field does not explain gravitational phenomena.
As for the video overall, as many people have already commented, Rose Bear Don't Walk is a charming and enjoyable presenter. I look forward to seeing her in future videos.

@@MrTony Actually, globe busters have used clips from Sci Show specifically to support their claims. Of course, they misunderstood the clips and the science. Nonetheless, they do watch
It should be noted that all you have said is consistent, as gravity is a very weak force and quite easily overcome. We never even consider its negligible presence in daily lives. The only time we do note it, is when it is massively magnified. (Pun intended. Is it even actually a pun?)

All for bettering our understanding of the universe, the planet, ourselves, and the organisms here with us. Evil is subjective. Scientific research is important and always will be.

"Can you imagine if we flew planes in flocks?" Yep, because we totally do. Barnstorming, aerobatics, and performance squadrons (for USA, think Blue Angels) all have to take into account the same sort of considerations that birds flying in flocks do.
We've actually been doing it almost as long as we've been flying, and initially it was for most of the same reasons that birds used it. Fighter squadrons during WWI and WWII needed to keep visual contact with each other because they didn't have onboard radar or communications. They were also often flying aircraft with more limited range so any tricks to extend that were useful. Finally, strength in numbers was a significant factor in dogfighting; you wanted to have as many allies to watch your back as possible, especially if you were a large, slow bomber.

Wrong. In WWI, you needed visual contact because you didn't have a choice, and you sure as hell didn't start flying closer to each other when visibility worsened. It was more important to be able to see the ground when not in a dogfight because otherwise you didn't know where you were. During WWII radio communication in planes was ubiquitous. Radar in planes themselves was of course restricted to the larger aircraft but became available for fighters near the tail end of the war.

Also wrong. Aircraft have fixed wings and cannot reap the same energy-saving benefits from V-formation flying that birds do.
Flying in a V formation is possible but the upwash of air is very turbulent, in aviation they are called wake vortexes and planes actually go out of their way to avoid it. For one the constant corrections needed means only a plane with a full autopilot can handle it and another thing is that all planes in the V formation have to be of roughly similar weight as otherwise the lighter plane will be flipped over by the heavier one in front. On top of that even with computers to handle it the buffeting causes discomfort for passengers and for commercial companies filling up planes is more important. You also need to have a bunch of planes goin in the same direction at the same speed and at the same altitude, this is very tricky to set up and having enough passengers for that is also a challenge. At high altitude flying in a V formation largely pointless because the vortex effect becomes less as air pressures decreases.
For military planes flying in a tight V formation makes them a very obvious and very easy target for AA missiles. Stealth planes would never fly in a V formation as that completely negates their stealth. Non-stealth planes could potentially do it but most of those are tasked with attacking ground targets or maintaining air superiority in which having close to a dozen planes close together is counterproductive. Also calling them non-stealth planes is kind of misleading as they are actually designed to not trip radar as much as possible. The difference is mostly priority as non-stealth planes implement stealth measures as long as they don't have to make significant compromises to other aspects while stealth planes mid-max for stealth even at the expense of other aspects like cost, speed, agility, range and carry capacity.

Mythbusters tried a few formations out including flying in a V, flying abreast and flying in a line one behind the next. Flying in the V took a lot of manoeuvring to stay in the sweet spots. Flying abreast was fine but flying in a line caused the guys in the back to get thrown around.

I'd like to see drone technology go the pest-control route. Specifically, I want tiny drones that *look* like cockroaches (so they can pass undetected) but this drone would get in to where the bugs live and just go Terminator-style. Spiders are cool tho I'm down with spiders. Oh and then cleanup drones so your house (or apartmentMY APARTMENT) doesn't smell like dead bugs

I saw a validating video the other day about gravity - YES, it does fluctuate depending on the mass/density of the rocks below the surface. That aside, a bird's wing feathers (probably all feathers) are sensitive to air pressure and what moves it. This means a bird in a flock will feel the pressure caused by another bird's pushing the air aside. This also is exhibited schools of fish. It's built in - and it takes way longer to explain than for them to just do it.

Yes, quite easily - we were doing it 80 years ago over Europe and parts of Asia, and we've done it many times since, except that they were called formations.
Formation flying =/= flocking.
Unspoken in this video (but stated in another): birds aren't virus factories because their unique breathing systems allow them to fly efficiently without throwing their own metabolisms out of whack.
