- We recently flew the listing broker and a crew to Punta Cana in Dominican Republic, to bring you a closer view to a fantastic boat and truly one of a kind: "Houbara" a 2012 Sunreef 82 Double Deck Sailing Catamaran.
This boat is massive and luxurious, with many different systems and features to showcase. We decided to create 3 different videos for you, this one is part one, where we show you the exterior features of the boat. Part 2 shows you the cabins and the rest of the interior and in Part 3 we bring you a systems demonstrations of the dinghy crane, platforms, etc.
Each video can be seen as a stand alone, but they are viewed best in sequence and all 3 of them.

You have done a really good job with this boat tour. I like that you do a walk through and actually show it. So many brokers just do a silent video of the boat. You actually explain what everything is and what really else might be there that we can't see. I also liked your dramatic intro! Great job! I don't know if you will see this cause it is a year later, and hopefully this boat has a new owner by now! LOL! Just wanted to compliment your work on this video and the time you spent!

I saw a yacht today that had the BBQ that was inside a cabinet. you could lift the BBQ up higher if needed. protecting the stainless steel BBQ from the elements is key to keeping your BBQ rust free for years.
I love the flybridge configuration, as long as it’s not rough. Being so high amplifies the wave motion immensely. Joystick/Helmwheel steering from the salon is an absolute must as a rough sea alternative. Beautiful Cat ❤️

As a musician I tell you, with the music you selected for beginning of the video you get the feeling that something bad is going to happen if you buy this boat. It might be the reason why you have only nine comments. The catamara seems cool but without seeing the interiors it's like seeing only 20 % of the catamaran ...

The Catamaran Company Absolutely gorgeous boat, the night lights look stunning. All that is missing is me and a Miss Universe for a girl friend. LOL
That is a beautiful sailboat! With a name like Houbara, a migratory bird sought after by falconers in the Arabian Gulf region, I’d guess that the owner’s from Qatar, UAE, or Saudi Arabia.
What we do know for a fact is that you can find the silhouette of the bird and the name through the boat. Etched on the glass, sewn on the towels, etc.

@@TheCatamaranCompany I don't think he disliked the music it is just the huge discrepancy in sound levels between the opening and the rest of the video. If someone is listening at a reasonable level is it untoward to expect that their eardrums will not be blown open - especially if they are using headphones like I do?

Some of the wood on the deck has to be replaced

Good one. It could be argued that his job is a bit more glamorous than those depicted in "Dirty Jobs". Yeah. We like Houbara a lot. We spent a few days in the Dominican Republic onboard this boat to record the 3 videos.
You wet the teak to make it look less aged!! Dont do that be upfront!
We clearly mention in the video that we did it and why. Even teak that's a year old shows richer detail when wet. Can't be more upfront than that!

In this price point and asset class, a boat like "Houbara" is out of reach for many of us. Despite this, we can still enjoy presentations such as the one we put together. Great video. Shame that it uses so much fuel and environmentally damaging as a consequence.
We are glad that you liked the video. Remember that "Houbara" is a sailboat, so even though equipped with diesel engines, she is designed to be used with windpower, therefore in a very environment friendly way.
Of you can afford 60+tons of metal and composite materials you don't care about the environment. But you really dont need to use your engines nontheless
