Cable railing is a great style to preserve your view and give a modern look. This is definitely a DIY friendly project and one that will save you money over hiring someone. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. I hope it gives you some ideas and shows you the overall process of installing a cable railing system.

    Pete, thank you so much for selecting our cable railing, creating such an amazing video, and sharing it. This season is absolutely perfect for installing the railing. With the protection it provides, we can fully enjoy our deck parties, barbecues, and more.

    Hey Pete great video, love them all! I am contractor and engineer from the Helena/GF area. Living in MN for the past few years now. Love the details and explanations, has given me much to consider with my current shed and deck builds!

      Hey thanks so much! Hope all is well over in Minnesota. We are actually headed up to the Helena area for a wedding in later this month. Going to take the boat up and get in some family lake time on Canyon ferry and gates of the mountains. Great to hear the projects give some additional ideas to think about! Cheers and hope you are enjoying the summer over there!

    Great video as always and definitely will look into cable railing around my pool area. I know I say this all the time, but that view you have is absolutely amazing with green fields and mountains. Keep up the great work and hope to see more videos from you.

    I just realized that you didn’t post any rink videos this past season! I’ve always looked forward to them annually. Hope there are things coming this year!

      Hey! Yeah I was bummed not to do a rink this past season. I unfortunately tore my ACL in November playing adult league hockey and had to have surgery. Hopefully will be able to put it up this year though!

    Hola! 🖐Wow! That is a lot of work, more than I ever considered whenever I saw this type of system. It sure looks like it is worth it, it looks fantastic. Great job explaining and pointing out some possible pitfalls for anyone taking on a project like this. Hope you are recovering well from your injury. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊

    Hey Pete great video. Wondering if you have off hand what the deck paint color is that you used. Looks so sharp and I need to do a different color on the deck of our lake house.

    • @DIYPETE
      @DIYPETE  Год назад +1

      Hey! The color on the top of the deck is called Bel Air Gray. We get it mixed up at Lowes and it is their Valspar Solid color Exterior Stain and Sealer ( for decks, siding, fences and outdoor furniture ). We think it looks pretty classy and was an easy way to make old decking look good. The posts are the same type of stain, but it is a dark charcoal color named Carbonized. I've used these stains on lots of patio furniture and sheds as well. That will be nice to get your deck at the lake house looking good again!

    I’ve always liked the look of these but unfortunately cable railing is only legal in Canada if it’s encased behind glass or plexiglass because of a climbing hazard for kids

    • @DIYPETE
      @DIYPETE  Год назад

      Hi Mike! I've heard they don't allow them in some providences, is it all of Canada? Hope all is well
