Could I suggest a bit more info on connecting the cable ie., how much slack is needed, or is there a proper way to route it / connect it? Otherwise, great video and thank you!
I am not aware of any specific length that the cable needs to be. You just want to make sure that the cable doesn't get caught on anything if you need to pull it. Length really depends on the door and opener. I will usually let the cable hang about a 12 inches out of the hole in the door. Another great option is a battery backup for the opener.

Do I have to use wire strippers to tighten the bolts?
No..
You forgot to close the loop on the S hook. Maybe invest in a rachet or wrenches if you have more videos planned in your future.
If you loose the key can you drill out the lock?
Yes. If you lost the key I would just suggest replacing it unless you don't have access to the garage.
