It goes both ways. For me, taking too much Vitamin K while trading Vitamin D caused Tetany. The extra K was pulling all the calcium out of the blood and into the bones, which made my blood alkaline despite taking 4000mg of potassium and drinking ACV daily.

My left eye twitching was driving me crazy it happened so frequently. I also had horrible leg and foot cramps which got worse when I started the Keto plan. Since August 16, 2021, I've been learning more and more including what to add and take out of my eating plan. I've added a considerable amount of Potassium and the eye twitch and leg and foot cramps have stopped. I can sleep for the first time in years without drugging myself with over the counter help. People say I seem happier and I feel that is true and now it feels like I have my brain at almost 100% on good days. I am very new to all this but so far I am loving the changes in me. Keto presently. I am allergic to eggs and am consuming grass fed beef and wild caught salmon and sardines. I eat cruciferous veggies and berries. I have cut out grains and take ACV daily in water. My doctor has me on 50,000 u of vit d, I also take magnesium, b12, and fish oil.

Had to come back and say thank you for this video!
I’ve been on the OMAD fast since June
My twitching started at my left cheekbone
I thought it was because I slept on my hands and pinched a nerve.
It would begin to spasm from simple things like putting on a shirt
Then it progressed to one eye, then the other.
Originally, I believed it would just go away, but it’s been months now and the morning I search RUclips for help, both of my eyes were twitching uncontrollably.
I watched your video and went and got a Gatorade…it was as if I could feel my nervous system relaxing
The eye twitching stopped within the hour, the cheekbone twitching reduced to like 99%
The next day it was gone, even when I touched my face to try and trigger it!
Now I’m back on my multivitamin.
Thank you so much! The next step was contacting a neurologist

I've had this my entire life off and on, annoying. Since going on Dr. Berg's eating plan it has stopped occuring completely and I just had an epiphany watching this video. It's the HCL Acid that cured this condition. I drink an entire tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar right before I eat. Dr. Berg has an older video which is most imformative called ' The Importance of Hydrochloric Acid'. THAT video changed my life and it should be linked with each daily new video he publishes. Great work !

The meds givin made me feel like death and my Dr said I was done! The avc and mg also d3 lots of b vitamins and pink salt has revived me in the absence of heart meds except for the water pills. So each time I lose fluids I do the things you mentioned 3 times a day or more depending on how much fluid I lose each day and I take copper supplement very moderately! Statins and fluid pill almost killed me along with the heart attacks

    • @lillypod1337

My husband was put on HBP pills + a diuretic and it nearly killed him, too. Statins aren't safe. Diuretics are a killer. They could not figure out why his leg cramps didn't stop. And they also never told him he was Hypokalemic. THAT + the diuretic could've killed him at any moment. He's been on Dr. Berg's way of eating for 9 months (both of us) and he is off ALL meds, lost 80lbs of fat and his blood pressure is perfect. He is 56 years old and in better shape/health than ever. He can do things he hasn't done in over 20 years. We even do extreme weather camping and kayaking. Trying to attempt this 20 years ago would've been a screaming hell.

Some drs look to treat issues directly with medicines, understandably so, because of time constraints, population growth, lack of drs or specialists, or a combination of these and other reasons. But i believe if u are reading this, and have a health problem. You are in the right place. If you watch dr bergs channel, and understand some of the fundermental ways in which our bodies work. It ALL makes sense. Most of us dont even need medication, or wont need it, if we take some of the knowledge learned here. Take care. Godspeed. P.s
Its not all just about keto, however, i can honestly say the best diet, is a keto one if you can call it a diet, i see it more of a natural way of eating the things our body needs. Our bodies are still in hunter gatherer mode, there is no way we have evolved to eat fries and drink cola everyday! Evolution takes time, and for the good of humanity, stick to the basics, and if u have not tried keto. Please do. U have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

  • @birkit1133
    @birkit1133 5 лет назад +11

    Corrections to my Chemistry (sorry):
3:55- Listen, Dr. Berg, I know you love the ACV, but please consider a theory for why it won't work for everyone with muscle twitching and why...
if your stomach acid pH is FINE, then ACV is a LOWER PH (Correction! I meant ACV is LOWER ACID, but HIGHER PH) than your stomach HCL!
ACV will then slightly INCREASE (corrected) your stomach pH to more alkaline right? Maybe such a slight change your body doesn't respond....that will CAUSE acid reflux (GERD) and a cascade of digestive issues.
That happens to me when I take ACV. It works against me!
If you're not having acid reflux, DO NOT take ACV, because it is going to ALKALINIZE your stomach!
If someone already has GERD, then it probably will help (temporarily), but the stomach acid will STILL not be strong enough because the ACV is actually a little LOWER pH than stomach HCl, RIGHT?
So this seemed to cause acid reflux for me when I tried taking ACV. I was miserable! I got GERD when I had never had it before, and the twitching continued!
Thinking about it from my Biochemistry background, I think baking soda may work better with a stomach acid imbalance because of the more extreme pH change.
The body will react more dramatically & swiftly by producing MORE of its own HCl to overcorrect the drastic alkalinization change in the stomach, whereas ACV may be so subtle of a change, a sluggish metabolism may not correct the slightly lower stomach pH induced by ACV.
However, for someone who is always dehydrated and doesn't get enough chloride electrolytes, such as on a LOW SODIUM (salt) diet, baking soda won't work well (since the body will be looking for that extra chloride ion for extra HCl stomach acid production and it won't be there!).
So the answer may be similar to the Iodine Therapy Bromine Detox Protocol: SALT LOAD for 2 weeks. Increase minerals in drinking water.
Who knows, maybe the problem will then just correct itself with increased salt?
These low salt diets have been shown to be correlated with higher rates of heart attacks, so reducing salt seems to be logical, but is the wrong approach.
Probably increasing vitamin D would go a long way to correcting everything: that high BP, too, since with sun exposure, the body uses its extra cholesterol to make its own Vitamin D.
It's complicated, but every nutrient is connected and dependent on the others. If you're not getting enough of one, you probably are deficient in others, too, like a web.
Since we eat so much cooked & processed meats, not enough nutrient dense animal products like raw dairy, farm pastured eggs, organ meats, seafood; or SUNSHINE; plus all toxins we take in; almost all of us are suffering at the outset from low vitamins D & B complex, followed by electrolyte mineral imbalances.
So maybe the best remedy of all is to get outside everyday, walk & move; eat more raw & locally sourced animal & sea products; and sprinkle sea salt on your food as much as you like.
    What do you think, Doc?

Mine’s started happening since I increased my Vitamin D. I take Magnesium & K2 daily too, about 500ng Mg. But I am diabetic so maybe I don’t retain the Mg very well & the Vit D needs more.

    • @RigoUnreal
      @RigoUnreal 3 месяца назад

keep in mind that high k2 and vit d and also magnesium can also lower calcium. Higher calcium is more normal but if you intake is low the absorb rate from more vit D does not matter that much. This happened in my case, so maybe you need more calcium.

since Im 17 I have tetany seizures. Without twiching, sometimes I feel stiffnes arround my mouth, but that is also rare. My seizures come without warning every few years. I dont know when it can happen, but when it does I usually start feeling weird, fainty, and weak, cold sweat, hard breathing, seeing black before my eyes, and also ants running down both of my arms, cramps in my fingers so I cannot separate them (spasm). This all happens when the seizure allready fully sets in. At this point the best ist to find a place to lay down and wait till its over. If i dont have the opportunity to lay down or at least sit, I feel very restless and Im worry to faint. The older I get, the worse the seizure get. My last big one was in 12/2013. Where I fainted for the first time, threw up while uncocious and god knows what else. This happend while having a company dinner in a restaurant. The colleagues where pretty shocked and scared. After that I feel completely fine. Taking magnesium or pottasium does not really help. Went for tests (MRI, brain electrogram) been at a neuroligist. The result is, Im fine. They didnt find anything wrong. I just have to live with it, Im in no stress, no anxiety, no signs what could cause this to start

Hi Dr. Berg. My right undereye area has been pulsating 24/7 for about 1 week. From what I read online, it sounds like myokymia. Rapid muscle movement or spasm. I did start taking calcium pills a couple of weeks ago but not carbonate as you mentioned. It's calcium supplement organic red algae. I will stop the calcium pills just in case that's the issue. Do you have a suggestion for myokymia under eye? It's the area where a woman would apply concealer. Thanks truly Dr. Berg! Appreciate your helpful and insightful videos.

Dr. Berg I love you man. Since the crash I have this eyetwitching now pretty often on my right eye. And I have actually high calcium and super low magnesium combined with steady elevated cortisol(did a Hairanalysis), or out of whack cortisol levels(more during night than day ala adrenal fatigue). And I had arrythmia during the first 3weeks.
How about a video on cooked vegetables? I see that DrWilson doesn't recommend too much cruc. vegetables for people with "issues", but wants people to eat cooked vegetables instead 3-5x a day. What's your take on that? They say that we're not able to digest raw food good enough to nourish a depleted body. Was thinking to skip cruc veggies for awhile, especially since if I remember right you say they're not that good for SiBo due to the high fiber intake. Which I fear I'm developing due to the system "shutdown" for such a long period.
I'd love a video on how to reduce Copper. Since I can't seem to understand it really. My potassium is on the high side aswell.
    Stuff of which I'm severly deficient is Sodium(Na), Manganese(Mn), Cobalt(Co), Silver(Ag), Silicon(Si), Boron(B), Lithium(Li) and Barium(Ba).
Thank you for everything! I've bingewatched all your videos last 2months to get my health back^^!
