That's some badass flying. Congrats to Luca on becoming the World Champion in the advanced category.
Doing glider aerobatics is indeed special. The vertical acceleration is amazing, during nose-down drops, an inverted glider spin must be the less efficient (with high loss of energy) aerobatic figure known to man.
Luca your an AMAZING pilot... how do you do it? The maneuvers you do are insane!

Love those inverted spins. . .I haven't flown a glider in about 10 years. In 1995 I took a week of lessons in aerobatics from Lazlo Horvath at Estrella Sailport.
This brings back some great memories.
Just saw you perform twice at Airventure '15 (Wednesday night and Saturday), and absolutely loved what you did with the glider!
How much negative are you puling in those inverted loops? It looks gnarly as hell dude. Also I love the style when you just let the bird drop from a stall. Rudder stands FTW!

I get my Glider license this summer- first time they send me up solo im probably just gonna do this. Lol, But in reality those stunts are incredible! I honestly hope someday I can be this good at acro gliding.

Awesome! I wish I had chance to continue to fly with glider, but it is not impossible in Turkey sport aviation conditions! I'm 43 years old and I remember my solo flight just like as yesterday when I was 18. Nothing much changed in last 25 years! Somethings never forgets :)

You screwed up my thoughts on what a glider is for and capable of. Good job. It looks like work up there. Reminds me of backing up a tractor trailer in Afghanistan through heavy traffic while wearing full body armor. All of a sudden you realize the contortions and constriction took your breath away.
