@3:41: you mean GAMUT: "a range or spectrum"
GAMBIT: "a maneuver to gain an advantage." e.g. King's Gambit in chess.
Still: Well Done video!.
No music to boot!.
I learned something
@@souloftheage Yea, I'm a chess player and it came out gambit. 😆
Is there a way to rig the trigger part with what ever is laying round the house? The little plastic clip broke off and someone threw it out. Sometimes I can squeeze it down with my thumb nail to spray but that hyrts
Hey thanks I watched several videos and yours is the only one that made sense to me and I'm a 65 year old lady who was able to replace my own spray faucet!
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching Susan!
This worked!! Thanks Lex you saved me from going out and buying a new sprayer and hose. I have the Lowes replacement sprayer in the video i just bought and it too was missing that larger rubber gasket. Just took the old gasket from the old sprayer and now my new one works. You saved me time and money thank you Sir!
Nice fix, Rob! Thank you so much for watching!
I've noticed some of the newer sprayers are designed so that little O-ring that contacts the side of the sprayer body is supposed to do the job of the fat washer (cheaper to build with an O-ring than a fat washer I bet). Could be replacing the O-ring or adding some silicone grease to it would give you similar results. Or like you said somebody might have tinkered with it and left the fat washer out -- either during a repair or in the design process! Either way the fat washer is a better design and an upgrade to the washer strategy. Thanks so much for the video!
Thank you so much for watching!
This just worked for me! Caught a late night random cleaning session after I found a huge puddle under. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for watching!
I don’t care if you post the same thing a million times I just love the positivity this channel gives.
Right on! Thank you so much for watching Alex!
Nice easy fix. I had an 11yr old Moen sprayer start leaking. They sent me a replacement for free.
Thank you so much for watching Weathernut!
thank you so very much for this. you saved me money, gas and time, and gave me the confidence to try fixing the problem myself.
Right on Chad! Thank you so much for watching!
I've installed over a hundred (100+) Moen Caldwell faucets w/sprayers ($69 Lowe's) in rent houses in the last 3 years. Not a single one of these Moen faucets or sprayers has subsequently leaked to date. Service life, failures, and leaks, depend on the quality you start with. My Property Mgmt clients are believers now. They used to want me to put in cheap faucets w/sprayers. No more.
Amen! Thank you so much for watching Tom!
Mines been leaking out of the handle, also when I run the hot/cold water there is this jumping like there's some sort of air in the lines. Low and behold I watched this video and unscrewed my handle...no washer😝.
I ran the cold and hot water with sprayer handle off and there was no jumping/air pressure sounds at all!! This definitely has to be the problem...
I just called home depot faucet department to ask if they sold the washers seperate, and he said "Man Ive been doing this for years and never heard of this in my entire life"!!.
Hahahahahahahhah!!!!
Thanks RUclips, and the creator of this video. Because if not for this, I wouldve felt like the bozo who doesnt know any better! Instead the guy on the phone was the bozo. And I KNOW what's wrong with my sprayer!!! 🤘
👍😆👍 Awesome! Thank you so much for watching Smedley!
I love these videos I have been working on things since I was 3 I will be a plumber and HVAC
Awesome! Plumbing and HVAC are fantastic skills that are needed in the real world. Thank you so much for watching Erick!
Nice job Professor!
Thank you so much for watching Snapper!
this fixed the issue! thanks for the video!
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching KL!
Thanks man! I thought that's what was missing. Now to aquire the compression washer
Thank you so much for watching Not Marvel!
Thanks. This fixed my problem. Found a washer missing and one in the house 5 min fix.
Awesome! Nice fix Idavispa!
Thanks a lot. My sprayer was leaking. I had an old replacement sprayer that I could get the washer from and after replacing the washer it's all good now..
Nice fix! Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for this. I was able to use a rubber hose Bibb washer and so far, so good on my delta sprayer.
Right on Ryan! Thank you so much for watching!
Nice work skid.
Thank you so much for watching Doc!
Easy 💰! Nice repair, I keep a few different miscellaneous parts bags on the golf cart! Now I have a name for them aka "chicken teeth" lol. 👍
👍😆👍 Thank you so much for watching Rich!
I had to replace the diverter valve on a single handle control Moen kitchen sink faucet bought from Lowe's. It had some years on it but not ancient old. Try finding parts like that for Moen in the big box and/or plumbing supply house..even they didn't have an exact replacement..not made any more. THAT was a chicken tooth! 🙄 Finally had to have Moen track one down from their factory old stock and send it or else that would have been another (brand not Moen) new expensive kitchen faucet. To Moens credit they sent it for free and i fixed the issue.
Noice! Thank you so much for watching Kayla!
Thank you.
You're welcome Lana!
Thank you
You're welcome Sarah! Thank you so much for watching!
Mine is leaking and has been for awhile. Opened it up and there is no washer at all. Amazon and Lowes has a multi pack of washers (42) so hoping one will fit!
Thank you so much for watching Tarra!
Did it end up fitting? I'm having the same problem, can't believe it wasn't included in the original faucet setup.
Same problem here. I used three 3/4" washers and that seems to have fixed it, and it's working better than it ever has. Thanks Lex!
Thank you +++
Thank you so much for watching!
Yup. I've certainly replaced more than one whole faucet simply because of a leaky hose, even WITH a good washer. Usually the nozzle itself is cracked because it's plastic. Damn shame.
It's crazy! Bring back the the threaded screw on hoses! Thank you so much for watching Marc!
I had one today but ours the main faucet detaches into a sprayer. Well the sprayer was disconnected from the hose and it leaked all under the sink. Had to shop vac it up and fish it up through the top and reconnect it
Daaang! Just making memories. 👍😆👍
Thank you so much for watching Benjamin!
We use the cheapest crap imaginable from Adler. But I don't ever recall a sprayer hose leak. The hot and cold handle will leak before the hose will. It's a different style though. The spout is low profile and only uses a single handle for the hot and cold. I think it's like $60 dollars.
$60 😆 thank you so much for watching ReelGuy!
Yes I just replaced my whole faucet 3 months ago the" cheap plastic connect" just broke!
Oh no! 🤦🏼♂️😭
@@LexVance Thank you and I forgot to hit subscribe but I just did!
We switched over to the Quick connect here awhile back. Pain in the butt.
Yea, the screw on was awesome. Why'd they reinvent the wheel is a mystery. 😒 Thank you so much for watching Corey!
Looking to make some extra money next week! (I'll be on call)
Nice! Hope all goes smooth. 💰 Thank you so much for watching Jamie!
Where can I get one or more of the washers for the sprayer? Are they available on Amazon?
I'm not sure. I can't find them either. We have to buy the sprayer and get the washer out of it.
I hate them connects haven't figured out how to take them off easily lol.
😆 I know right! What was wrong with just unscrewing it? Now that was easy! Thank you so much for watching Dc!
Won't that washer block some of the water flow? Mine doesn't have a washer either
I've never had a washer block flow to the point of interference. If yours is leaking, it probably needs one. Thank you so much for watching mcmoose!
How much would it cost to fix the sprayer it’s been spraying and we just replaced the hose
It’s been making a mess with water
Around $20 bucks.
Does it matter if the washer looks exactly like that? What if I have the same size inner and outer diameter but it’s completely flat?
Try it out. If doesn't work, just take it out and get the right one. Thank you so much for watching!
Just noticed it is leaking under the collar? Replacing the sprayer will not address that correct??
Give it a try. I'd need to be there for this head scratcher. You can wrap a little Teflon tape around the threads. That'll get you through until you can make the repair.
Replaced hose and sprayer, included new washers and the sprayer still leaks. What else can be the issue?
I'd have to be there for this head scratcher 🤔. Try to wrap Teflon tape around the threads. That will usually stop it. It does for me anyway. Thank you so much for watching Badmsm!
Mine is leaking where you press to spray on the handle. Any tips on that?
You can try Teflon tape around the threads. If that don't do it, just replace it. They screw on and off. Righty tighty lefty loosey. Easy fix. 👍🤞
Quick fix skid, but noticed a tsk tsk, no GFCI outlet right by the sink??
Yea, it's on the far left of the bar. Thank you so much for watching Kevin!
somehow my gasket made it to my chicken feet drawe how did I misss that OMFG!
thanks for the schooling bromoseltzer
Thank you so much for watching!
Where can I get one of these washers?...what r they called??..tnx
Faucet sprayer rubber washer. Thank you so much for watching James!
Tnx...I meant the specific recessed type of washer u used?
You don't need a washer. It's not missing. The oring is supposed to make the seal and yours is likely bad and needs replaced.
Thank you so much for watching!
Well watch lots of videos. So my new one same style same everything as last one I bought to replace. This new one comes with thin flat RUBBER washer and a thicker rubber washer which is flat on one side not on the other. By watching videos those that had that funny washer out it into the top of the sprayer non flat side first. Actually same way it was in my last sprayer.
Now my OLD one came with a thin plastic washer. I have tried every combination of the washer and combined with both sprayer heads. I even tried all 3 washers. Thick rubber, thin rubber and thin plastic. I even tried teflon tape on threads. BUT STILL I have water dripping out under that first blk plastic collar part of sprayer you put on. What next.
I just replace the faucet if they fight me too much.
They sell just the sprayer heads no need to replace whole faucet
Just figured out itʻs been my Delta sprayer thatʻs been leaking (for years?!) and Iʻm finding the water under the sink. Aha -- unscrewed the handle from the hose piece, and, guess what, no washer. I will be buying washers.
Thank you so much for watching Susan!
What measurement of washer is this?
I don't remember. This video is years old.
You DON'T need to replace the whole faucet!! They have "quick connect adapters" for the old style threaded connectors. There are even other options versus COMPLETE replacment!
Is this kinda like, "Hey, you've got a bad tire. If I can't fix it, you need a new CAR?"
Thank you so much for watching!
What kind of hose is it
It's a Pfister.
Just checked my leaky handle... which has gotten so bad... that I've almost lost all water pressure. As soon as I turn on the water....the majority of the water pressure is being forced out of the hose handle. So I watched your video here, I unscrewed the handle and found that the washer is also completely missing!?
How the hell does it just disappear? Is it something that breaks down over time or is it more likely that someone removed it? It's only my fiance and I here and she is not handy, nor would she mess with something like that. And I know for a fact that I didn't remove it. Weird!
Edit: Btw, that fat washer you used to replace the one that was missing... what kind of material is it made of? Is it rubber, brass etc? Thank you!
A rubber washer. I hope everything works out for you! 🤞
@@LexVance Thank you! Appreciate the quick response.
If the washer don't do the trick, they sell just the sprayer heads no need to replace whole faucet
You're right! Thank you so much for watching C V!
1:31 "Back in the old days"
Okay boomer.
XD just kidding lex! Easy money
👍😆👍 Thank you so much for watching Pain!
I get these calls weekly skid
Crack spryer water running down the hose
New spryer 10 bucks at home depo
Easy money but a little annoying. 👍😆👍
Thank you so much for watching Bart!
Chicken teeth 😂😂
👍😆👍 Thank you so much for watching Kevin!
I bought two sprayers off Amazon and they didn’t come with the fat washer! 🤦♂️
You can wrap the threads with Teflon tape and it should stop leaking. I hope everything works out for you!
@@LexVance would wrapping the threads keep it from leaking around the hose/collar joint? I could see it helping a leak between the collar/base of sprayer
You're lucky. That Price Pfister sprayer comes apart so you can replace that washer. My model of Price Pfister faucet sprayer doesn't some apart. Total BS.
Ugh I the that! I hope it all works out for you John. Thank you so much for watching!
