My pops has emphysema and COPD, everyday is a little bit worse than the last so it’s becoming apparent that he is late in the 4th quarter (at least that’s what he tells me) but I can’t deny him saying that. It’s been tough to mentally come to terms with it, him deteriorating in front of my eyes and there’s nothing I can do to make him better. I try to spend as much time with him as possible but it’s been hard with this fucking shit virus keeping us at a distance, mainly because I’m still working and don’t want to make his condition any worse. Seeing your post the other day brought me to tears because it felt so surreal, putting myself in that exact moment. I’m scared to lose my pops, one of my best friends and basically been the king since I was hatched. Thanks for keeping it real, for posting that and showing your true feeling and emotions. It’s fucking tough and I do know it’s inevitable. You definitely help me, by not feeling sorry for myself but doing everything in my power to help him even from a distance. You’ve always been a legend but this just hits different. Thanks G, sending you all love and prayers. 🙏
