He is the real deal, I reached out to him on Facebook told him to call I had no one to talk I'm all the way in South Carolina. I was on heroin and couldn't get off it. So I talked to him before treatment I went 6 months and he called to check on me 9 months after. That was 3 and half years ago..clean today!

Jordan Shoultes keep the faith man. I know when you’re using it’s hard to ever believe that you could live life without. I had a 2,000 dollar a day oxy habit which turned into a 500 a day heroin habit and I thought how smart I was by switching to heroin because it was so much cheaper 👀 I lost everything I ever had. Family relationships not only all my money but I stole a million from my moms business she owned in 2 years and almost did 10 years in prison for it. Even after being in and out of jail and losing everything and having my 3 closest friends die to overdose I never thought I could stay sober. Just keep the faith man. I kept going to treatment- 7 times to be exact but finally this last time something just clicked. I have 18 months clean now! If you were to ask my friends or people in my town they would all say I was the biggest junkie around and the most hopeless. Nobody thought I’d ever make it. Whatever your addiction is just utilize harm reduction. It’s all about keeping yourself alive until you truly want it. Because believe me. The time will come when the switch flips and you’ll want it you just gotta put the work in. Stay safe bud

Props to Scummy for being strong and overcoming hard times and dedicating his life to helping others, we need more people like that. And props to Twitch for not giving up on his friend and extending his hand out to help up out of the mud and getting him back to what he loves most, RIDING!!

A lot of respect ✊, I pass 1 year in a rehab , I'm still in "seuvrage" , I keep my head up , I ride also for fun on my brand new yz250f, motocross is a part of my therapy for me , I'm now at 1 year sober and it's the best think that I do for me to go in rehab , thans guy I love your video , sorry for my english , I'm frech canadian

Fucking crazy seeing this convo after looking up to both of them since "the Adventures of Twitch and Scummy". Been following them both since I was 14 years old, I'm 28 now. Insane how a few different choices in life can lead to such drastic ways people live, and these two dudes are living proof. Glad to see Colin on the right track now. These are some real ass dudes. Twitch you're a good friend dude. For real. As fans, we can only see what happens from behind the camera and the footage you guys put out. Clearly, you guys separated for reasons that Scummy stated, but doing this interview, he knew he could open up like he did. Made this real authentic and heartfelt. Badass episode. Glad everything is good now and you guys are back on camera together.
props to him for being man enough to talk about it and own up to his mistakes and his issues. It's awesome that he's trying to make the most of his chance now and helping others. Best of luck Colin! rad to see him and Twitch hanging out again. We need to see footage of them riding again.
this shit litteraly made me cry. when it was over i with out thinking loaded my bike, left work and rode till dark yestarday. its easy to forget that ive always been the best on my bike when im running from my past or addictions. cant explain it, and ive never been hooked on pain meds even riding since a child...theyd give me oxys and i hated em so they would get tossed....i broke my face training for mma in august and i got hooked finally after the surgery...im 1.5 months clean or somthing like that and have been hiding in the dark not moving around doing nothing but feeling sad. this video lit my fuse man....i cant sit here and deteriorate. thanks collin for this clip..... i went out yestarday after not riding for 2.5 years and sent the 100' er on my second run in.i havent felt this alive in years. keep up the good work hoss.
So glad video's like this exist. People who grew up with these guys, idolizing and wishing you had that life. Now you have an appreciation realizing at the end of the day they are people just like us. Glad there is an place we get a look at the day to day life of these people.
Watching two legends right here is amazing. Getting to see both these guys chillin and talking is awesome. I'm glad Collin is back on his feet.

P.S., my thumbnail is my 09' R1 all wadded up in the street. I was whacked on oxy's, soma's, and Xanax. I got 8 years sober on July 19th. For all of you in the struggle, im living proof that there is a path to sobriety for all of us. We just need to recognize when it comes. It's all love, keep fighting the good fight!!
I fly Moto mmm soma 350s those were delicious......to bad one day was so boogered up and had the great idea to take a long nap. woke up the next day an gave myself an ultimatum. that was the 3rd try and fortunately was the last......3 years going on 4 clean. love every second of my life now!!

Dude this vid's got me choked up man! I've been fighting the dragon too. I got clean and its amazing being clear headed. I picked up an enduro and me and my 2 year old son ride around the yard every day. Swear to God i'm done with drugs. It takes serious balls to take your story public like this man. Mad props to you Twitch for being that friend--i got one like that and it helps SO much. Grew up watching you guys and I guess we're all growing up. cheers

Its great to see sobriety & recovery coming into the moto scene. There is so many of us who got hooked from legally prescribed opiates during our injury periods. I'm glad to see Twitch was there and has been there for his buddy! Respect to you both!
I couldn't believe this when I was watching it. Thanks for making this video and for always being a role model growing up man. The way you handled shit helped me get through the tough times of having Tourettes. Tons a of respect to Colin too for knowing how to get back up.
such a common story now a days with opiate epidemic. Addiction doesn't discriminated and will take absolutely everything you have to give and more. Props to Colin for sharing his story and being completely honest. Thanks Twitch for bringing it to the masses. Glad his life is back on the upside and hope it maintains. Being in recovery myself, I completely relate, my story is really similar. I'm so grateful for the life I have today. All those out there still struggling, there is a chance at a better life. Get honest, get healthy, and find the strength to move forward in a positive manner.

I'd say this talk whit Colin is the best 30 min interview whit a fmx rider so far. We are probably a lot of people who really liked to know what happend to Colin after the" twitch and scummy days" and here it was. This might have some good impact on youth growing up whit drugs round the corner. Well done!

I always wondered what happened to Colin. I always kept up with the Mulisha, and always watched videos, my buddies and I would watch the events after riding or before, but I noticed not seeing Colin often. It's a trip on what happened to him, but I'm super glad he got better and his life turned around for the better. 3 of my friends OD on that shit and I hope everyone else who is battling addiction makes it through. Ill pray you all.

Always loved watching these dudes ride, talent, balls and funny shit. To hear Colin reveal his journey down that bad road makes you open your eyes big time. Happy to hear it's good times now and a positive future is ahead. Brave man to face his demons and let out the emotions, that is far harder than flipping a motorcycle buddy. Respect!

Growing up watching you guys, I looked up to you. I never knew about how bad Scummy got but this video is probably one of the greatest videos I have ever seen. I am so happy that he got straight and lives a great life now. I went through this same thing but my dad is the addict, haven't heard or seen him in over 10 years and I pray for him on the daily basis for him to get better. Thanks for making this video Jeremy.

Great video man, I remember being a kid watching crusty movies every night after school, mostly the same one was 9 lives over and over, and all these years on you guys still keep in touch no matter the ups and downs, you 2 had a massive impact on my life steering me into riding everyday keeping occupied, 90% of my childhood friends are either in jail or on drugs and I've made it out with a full time job and a family, I can give thanks to you guys for that

This hit home for me! I'm addicted to eating oxycodone. I've been on it through my doctor for 10 years. I've got bad knees and a bad back. But Im fucking over it! I've been tapering off for 6 months now. And the feelings are getting fucking real! That's the scariest part for me. I've got another 4 months to go on my taper.I just want to be sober and feel life for what it is for once. I'm sick of feeling dull and unhappy, I have a wife and 3 kids. But I struggle with anxiety and ptsd. So it's been a rough situation detoxing. I just ride as much as I can and love on my family and especially my kids! I want my sobriety more than anything in the world! Being a addict is so fucked up! I've learned you will never be happy with anything or anyone until your happy and love yourself. It's people like skummy that keeps me going! Congrats on 5 years of sobriety. I hope to be there one day too,
rexburn1955 Good for u man. If it gets too tough & u still need meds to help, u should look into management with a subutex/zubsolv program. It won't get u "high" but u won't feel sick & miserable. It's helped many people that have gotten stuck in that loop. But if u can do it on your own, then keep it up man. Good luck

This isnt what I expected it's scary I've been going to na for a few years and have listened to 100s of people tell there story but this is the first time I could really relate it's like he was telling my story at times it broke me down for a min thank u both I needed to see this
Video hit home for me. My sister and mom did heroin for 2 years and got sent to prison. Stealing just to get high and living on the streets.and it was hard watching them get sentenced but that day changed everything because their both out and living healthy stable lives. Thank you for posting this

I'm not ritch but I'm doing ok for my self with my wife. I wish I could chill with you guys just for one day. I don't have any luck in my life but to take the bikes out would be great. I remember when I was so fucked up on drugs I sold all my bikes and even my very first bike that's what killed me. I have a 1997 yz125 now that I built from ground up. my fram just got q little crack in it the other week but I'm still ripping it up. I work 7 days a week and I'm just grateful I'm still alive and not dead. I'm blessed each day but honestly I wish I could take my bike out ridding with you guys it would mean the world to me. may GOD bless you both much love and respect

These 2 guys & the rest of the original Mulisha crew are who I looked up too in the late '90s! They made me realize that, although I loved racing, I could actually be successful doing what I truly loved, FMX!
This vid almost portrayed my time in the sport to a T. I can't even explain how much I can relate to scummy & how much I respect guys like twitch.
Since I spent more time on practice days jumping & trying tricks instead of practicing corners & starts, I was able to progress pretty quick once I decided to focus on FMX.
Just as I started qualifying for comps, & becoming apart of one of the 1st FMX teams on the east coast (FMX East) which allowed me to do small shows, monster jams, & also gave me the chance to ride & do shows with some of my hero's like with Mad Mike Jones & Chris Rourke. And then, BAM...the backflip came on the scene!
Even though I thought it was the coolest thing to ever happen, I looked at it in the exact same way scummy did. Not only did I know I would never have access to a foam pit, I knew it would take so long for me to get to that point that I had to give up on my dream. Like scummy, I also went down the same road with drugs, especially opiates.
Meanwhile the other guys from the former FMX East team (Jeff Windstead, Greg Hartman, Adam Jones, among others) moved on & are still killing it, making a great living doing what they love to do to this day. Just like Twitch.
So basically, I just wanna say that I respect the hell outa both Scummy & Twitch. Not just cuz they are both doing great with their lives now, but cuz I relate to Scummy 100% & share a lot of the same values. & Twitch's ability to accomplish what seems impossible, is exactly the type of guy I strive to be like in whatever I do with my life.
Props to both if you, & thank u for helping me to decide to ride FMX full time, even though it didn't last long. Being a decent pre-flip FMX rider is one of the proudest accomplishments of my life. Semper Fidelis.
