more things that should not air on tv lmao
And that’s why we have Amazon 👍
@@jordanhamers89 LMAO
Bruh wait till we go later in the episodes, the writers have gone more wild than before this season 😂😂
I need to know what that voice line in the intro is actually shouting cuz every time I just hear, "Jesus wept!" lmao
17:27 this level of enthusiasm only to be quelled by a frontal lobotomy. 🤣
bro theres not a single laser mark in that room, he really mutilated, tore apart, tortured and dismembered those new recruits slowly as barbara watched that is INSANE, just the thought of what happpened behind that red door has stuck to me for days
Literally tore them apart by hand , piece by piece bit by bit .
Mhm that’s why there’s so much blood on him, he ripped all of them apart.
worst part is that damn door is welded shut 😭😭as if we needed any more confirmation that homelander is a monster
The only mfs I truly felt a lil bad for. We dunno if they did fuck shit obv, but it's at least clear they didn't fuck with HL.
Thats just the start though. It will take her like a week to die of thirst while all the corpses around her starts to decay.
The intern who started working at Vought and got transferred last week watching Homelander get off the elevator: 😐
Guilty by association 🤷♂️
Like fr bruh I just got here.

Certified Lovergirl, certified pedophile.
Starlight keep the family away, Sage keep the family away
Imagine bullying a monster you made and being surprised it comes back to kill you.
"Yeah bro I bullied the kid who could rip a bus in half with his bare hands, should be fine"
Tbf, they were dead certain that the mental prison they constructed for him should've kept them safe.
... but after they heard that Stillwell was killed and Edgar was ousted, they probably should've relocated as quickly and thoroughly as they could.
It's Crazy how it also applies to Starlight
@@Sweet_Venom0027 he'd probably still find them though
Yeah but she a kid and kids do stupid shit that’s part of growing up
I think Hughie and A-Train both realized in that alley that neither one of them were the same people that they were when this started. They were both carrying grudges for ghosts of their former selves.
Yup and that ultimately they themselves are their biggest enemy and outside of them, homelander. As homelander becomes more unhinged by the second and a bigger threat than he already is everyday to the literal planet, it serves no one any favors fighting each other when they can instead focus on the main objective.
12:46 Sheera started singing “WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP” in her head after that
Her tempo was fast but she really did lmao. She even trailed off with "dot fuck em up"
Cringe
According to an interview with Eric Kripke, this episode we would have seen a more cruel Homelander but Anthony starr didn't agree with the idea.
"The original draft had Homelander coming down there and being just cruel top to bottom. It was very much like he was coming down there to torture those people and basically pull the wings off flies. Ant called me and he said, 'That feels wrong to me. This is like my home. I think there would be moments where I would be very childlike and sometimes confused. I could be cruel, but then I could feel bad about being cruel and I could just be this mess where you never know how I'm going to react next.'
Man, was he right. What makes that story is he comes down there and he almost becomes that kid again. So it's really remarkable and it's terrifying."
Yup, I've been saying it for a while but the more human Homelander is, the more terrifying he is. In stark contrast to countless villain arcs where the opposite is the case, even other "evil supermen" like Brightburn, Injustice, Omni-Man, where humanity is what's missing.
"And Kanye West!" I'm sorry that line took me tf out, shit was hilarous
Imagine being one of those scientists who experimented on Homelander and STILL working in the same place all those years. Why not at least give yourself Compound V for a better fighting chance?
Comp V is more liable to kill an adult than it is to give them powers
They’re probably too old for it. Even then most supes don’t measure up to HL. Being a supe would just make the inevitable longer
Plus, “The Boys: Diabolical” also taught us that you can easily get shit powers.
@@ScissorScientists-wl2ol longer? We have seen homelander one shot other supes. In the boys its Animals > Humans > Supes > Homelander
@@duatchol7710It's also implied that some people also get powers that literally kill them in the first use. And the way to activate said power is unknown so if sneezing activates your power you could literally end up exploding like a grenade but because you don't have regeneration you are dead instantly.
Idk if y’all caught it but he killed them all and then welded the door shut so she can’t get out or call for help. She’s just in “the bad room” now.
I think the “parallel” for Barbara was that, for him, being in the bad room was a psychological torture. She even says “it was just a room, John” when he tells her what his nickname for it was. She, like the others saw these things as insignificant and nbd so he made it one. He showed her what being in the room was like for him by (similarly) psychologically torturing her.
thats an excellent interpretation of that, thank you for typing this ,on a side note,do you think John is now officially dead and now its just Homelander since his 'humanity' was declared by Barbara as fake since it was manipulation?
Sheera's cackling during the Homelander scenes is so damn diabolical 🤣🤣🤣
because ,i lowkey was with the energy too
So yeah the ongoing theory is the compound V butcher took didn't do anything to him but it instead went to the tumor inside of him, making it live with power so it's like venom superpower and the blackouts and hallucinations like moon knight epic combo but Homelander officially lost it.
Happened in The Boys: Diabolical, right?
@@OVOJermey Yup that's the most plausible explanation to whatever happened to Ezekiel
@xSKY23 funny enough its one of the 3 episodes Kripke the creator considers canon besides Homelander origin and The Nubians episode
@@caliph95 Oh really? I didn’t know that information, cool.
Yeah the second I saw butcher black out I could tell the director watched moon knight and thought that shit was cool
Firecracker is smart for always saying "young man" instead of "boy". Such a great small and manipulative tactic.
When I heard that my immediate reaction was to say out loud "child". She knows what she's doing and the writers of the show really know the language of grooming apologists.

Barbara is also going to starve to death in there because I'm pretty sure there are also welds on the door
Depends; homelander left her possible food…
If she doesn't mind a bit of cannibalism, she should be good for a while.

@@rmnhnyou could say that. The protein boost about to go crazy.
Welders do exist outside of homelanders Powers just depends on whether or not someone will come in the next 3 days to a week depending on her depravity
That hawk-twah edit when he spat in his hands was INSANE😭😭😭
The fact that firecracker managed to gloss over pedophilia and lying about other stuff by saying she's been saved by God and managed to make Starlight the bad guy by telling a story about something that happened when she was 13 and couldn't control her powers with V that her mother injected btw, leaking medical records and private information is crazy. What's even crazier is I do think something like that could happen in the real world.
Glossing over the child stuff and people still supporting a person after a public conviction has happened.
It's happened before but I don't think it would be _that_ easy in today's world. Like this came out the same year as P Diddy getting outed and the Kendrick/Drake beef and both shaped culture permanently and it turns out most people are going to be against pdf files, even shaking their asses in the club calling a certain rapper a pdf file.
The Firecracker thing to me was the least realistic aspect so far. There are plenty of ways to show "this person goes way too far then cries victim when things get physical" that I think would've been more realistic to what you see today.
The way the episode started entering through the elevator and then leaving in the elevator was brilliant. Super menacing with the elevator chime 🥶🔥
25:07 Sheera: "Why do I gotta watch thaaaat?!😫"
Also Sheera: 👀👀👀👀
It be like that sometimes😂😂U don't want to watch a scene but at the same time u wanna see what's happening
Watching a Frontal Lobotomy in action is not for the weak💀
No wonder Homelander has an enormous superiority complex and believe that Humans are toys for his amusement, he was that for the scientist and doesn't seem like anyone gave a shit for him, he was made feeling like he was nothing.
Bro had virtually no chance to grown up good.
Homelander's maniacal, mirthful cackle at Marty was just *chef's kiss* perfect. Starr never misses with this performance.
I feel like this whole Frenchie story could have been better if Frenchie didn’t know that he killed Colin’s family until that scene, this episode, when he talked about it. Or at the very least, they could have found out after he was already in a relationship with him. He went into this relationship knowing he killed his family. That’s horrible.
He’s not supposed to be a good person tho, he’s literally a murderer. Just because he wants to be a better person doesn’t mean he necessarily will be.
They probably wasn't interested enough to make Colin an important character for the show he basically just one time character to bring the best of the protagonist, probably gonna die on future episode but idk.
No because that wouldn't make sense with his character. I think everyone needs to re-watch the show or something because you would know that Frenchie takes sex super casually, and that he does it as a coping mechanism/ for comfort. That's why he tried to get with Kimiko-- because he recognized her traumas. That's why he got with Collin.
Also make note that the dude is basically a psychopath.
Nothing is saving that waste of time.
@@wingsoficarus1139 I don't think he's a psychopath, he clearly carries guilt for his actions and is very capable of empathy as shown in his introduction to Kimiko. However he does have an incredibly warped sense of morality, which is somewhat understandable. He clearly had a horrific childhood, a violent adolescence/early adulthood, and then got recruited by the CIA (aka "the good guys") to kill people in cold blood. That doesn't excuse any of his actions, but it does paint a clear picture of why and how he reached the mental state that he's in.
That “hawk-tuh” edit was genius and perfect timing!!!😂😂😂😂
25:32 might as well be a renaissance painting.
Sheera: Staring in mix of horror, disgust and disbelief
Roshi: Trying to think happy thoughts

“I ain’t gone lie i’m getting cooked” While Frank is literally getting cooked😭😭😭
A small part of me wondered if maybe Firecracker admitting to THAT on TV and still being accepted was maybe a bit too much. But then I remembered the story of former Georgia Republican US Senate nominee, Roy Moore. And just recently Robert Morris (Megachurch pastor and ex-Trump adviser) admitted to a similar crime against a 12 year old not too long ago and just yesterday there were like thousands of people at one of his events.
Yea as long as you play the god angle, and you already have a base, you really can anything and people will forgive you.
Not too mention female pedos generally tend to get a free pass
@@godofnothing428 Plus some people might think the boy was lucky to sleep with her.
Honestly, that sounded pretty accurate. We all know at least one of those “God Found Me” Christians who spent years drinking, shooting up, abusing or just fucking around.
But it’s all a-okay because now that they found God, they are different people now.
Now they get to judge everyone around them instead.

Bro, Homelander Torturing and Humiliating those Scientists in the Lab is disturbing to watch it makes me want to look away from the screen 💀
Someone pointed out that the hinges on the door were lasered shut. That is brutal
bro had the craziest crashout this episode 💀
the fact that the firecracker actress is a lesbian and plays a fascist and anti-trans character is crazy lmao
The Boys being The Boys even outside the series
In fairness, there are *absolutely* transphobic, fascist lesbians in real life
Trans people are having an identity crisis
No it isn't. There is no reason a lesbian wouldn't be fascist or anti trans.
The issue many people have with the Frenchie and Kimiko storylines is that they seem like they shoulda been from S1. But at the same time they are inline with the storylines of the rest of the cast. I think episode 4 ties together the theme of the first three episodes and what seems to be the theme of the season as a whole. That theme being the past coming back to haunt you. From Hughie, A Train, Butcher, Homelander, Starlight, Frenchie, Kimiko, and so on.
I feel like people mistake Frenchie's storyline being out of nowhere. We already know he was never a good person, just someone we've empathized with. With this universe focused on taking down people who are imposters pretending to be heroes, it's only fair when OUR heroes also gets the sincere consequences for their actions from the past and present. The last arc with lamplighter had you understanding and empathizing with Frenchie's perspective, so they give something no one absolutely can't defend.
I would also like to add the scientists who made Homelander also paid for they past too
Bro Homelander crashed out over John & respectfully I understand 💯😂

16:33 Love how The Boys conditioned the brain to think what Homelander would do and guess what, both of ya'll was right lmao
There is a theory that Joe Kessler is imaginary in Butcher's head, his demon on his shoulder, who urges him to do the bad things, while Becca is his angel. This theory also applies to Hughie's mom, who is said to be a manifestation that appears due to his use of temp V, which is how she knew to use the V: she was his justification to do it himself without any feelings of guilt. The trailers do show that Hugh's dad may possibly be a compound V zombie. This is something from the comics where dead supes like Lamplighter would be injected with V upon death, and become mindless zombies
There was a theory going around that Hughie’s Mom isn’t actually there and she’s all in his head, just like how Butcher is having hallucinations of Becca. Every time she’s in the room with him it seems like she’s not even there, even the doctors don’t make eye contact with her. That got disproved when Hughie went to spoke to a lawyer about her having medical rights to his dad. Regardless I definitely don’t get good vibes from her. Aside from being a deadbeat mom she’s obviously very fishy since she has connections with Vought.
What I want to know is if she got Compound V from Vought, or if she pickpocketed Hughie when she hugged him and took the one he brought to give to his dad.
I love that they named Jim Beaver's character Robert Singer, just like the character he played in Supernatural.
11:16... was the moment I pulled back in my reaction
You know he not getting back up😅😂😂😂
First day back on the job and butcher is out here being ruthless
Love how they reference the supernatural series with president Bob singer aka Bobby singer.
Homelander calls it the "Bad Room", because his bad thoughts would come to him there. I think that he already imagined their bodies and the way the blood is, I think he was like an artist, who had the vision already, he just wanted to have someone "watch the process"... the way all the mess is, seems deliberately chosen, every smear and faceless skull is carefully picked. The gore depo. I think they also treated it like a painting, in order to get that out of Homelanders character. Like they could have just gone in and chucked things randomly, but everything strangely looks placed with thought in mind. It's more terrifying knowing that...
18:31 you gotta give it that hawk tuuhhh
Forever love it when the video loses focus whenevr lupa takes off his glasses 😂😂😂😂😂
The Hawk Tuah sound edit was genius 😂 18:28
God bless the editor. Man always cooking
The only issue I have that felt very plot armorish was when Kimiko got blown in half by that girl but is shown after to be fine and fighting after Huey’s fight. That girl had more than enough time to finish off Kimiko with that injury before her regeneration put her back together. Felt very convenient that was off screened and just leaves it up to imagination.
We've seen that Kimiko's regen is pretty fast and potent. She was mush in the first ep but got up like nothing in a few seconds. Maybe that girl thought that would be enough to kill her or at least incapacitate her for good minute
I feel like it could be like a symbiote and when butcher blacks out he has a secondary personality like the hulk and Bruce banner or the sentry with the void
I think the tumor was brought to "life" by the v
Spongebob be living in Lupa's Pineapple Haircut lmao sorry no offense lupa it's just so damn funny with that hair 😅
25:08 i fvcking fell off the bed laughing 😭😭😭😭💀💀💀💀
Homelander mentions that in the bad room, he would be locked inside, for days on end with no food, toiletries and stuff. He thought he was alone, but he realized that they were watching him all along.
The ony reason that boy didn't kill Frenchie was because in his eyes, he could see how badly a killer wanted to die. Yea Frenchie is trash and he needs rehab. He basically Frank from Shameless.
Pretty terrifying how we don’t see what he did to the other staff members that weren’t involved with his experimental torture. We see Barbara trapped in a room with their dismembered mutilated corpses which lets me believe that those poor people who happened to be new faces got a much more painful, slow, and agonizing death than his actual tormentors(Frank and Marty). Pretty scary and kind of grounded to realism if you think about it since they’re victims out there in real life that had to suffer tragic fates because of someone else’s horrible actions. Those people were collateral damage and they knew it too.
quick question ,and my sympathy either dies or grows,is that facility made for experimenting on kid supes or was that a one off thing with Homelander,cs if its for kids in general i feel no sympathy for those other staff members
@@xavierbaker6143it’s highly likely they consistently experimented on kids and still do if you watch genv they were doing it at the woods place

I just find it funny that the actor that plays Bob Singer in the boys also plays Bobby Singer in the show supernatural he literally has the same name in 2 different shows💀.

That room was where he accidentally crushed the person who was supposed to act as his mother figure to death in a hug, they showed this in the earlier seasons. So now she has to stay among mutilated corpses like he had to.
To be fair seeing someone get lobotomized is possible compared to those other things.
That whole thing Barbara said about " you could have left" at first fleeting thought sounds like it makes sense and then you immediately realize how utterly cruel it is. I'd equate it to an abusive parent who has abused their child from birth and now says "well you had two feet and a brain you could have left if you really wanted". It's the same thing also with people who never had abusive partners offhandedly saying they have no sympathy for abused people because they also "could have just left". It's a diminishment of the power of psychological power others can have on vulnerable people and especially people they groom or manipulate from really young, and an embellishment of the fact that that person should never have been doing something so cruel to another that needed them to leave.
I read of a story that basically sums up that kind of trauma, its about an elephant that was taken from the jungle when very young and kept in captivity. When the elephant was young it would be kept tied to a stake and was trained to never leave when tied to it, that same elephant no matter how much it grew or how large and powerful would never pull away the stake whenever taken back and tied to it again...so much "power and ability" but if an individual animal or being is fixated on the perceived and taught power of something, it regresses to when it couldn't overcome that something and even when it "visibly" can it doesn't realize that.
Yall overlooked the fact that homelander Also welded the door shut and is probably gonna destroy the elevator, so nobody is gonna get to her before she dies in there, cause remember homelander cut the phone so nobody knows they are down there
The single frame flashbacks you see of Homelander as a kid being burned in the oven here 7:31 are the same as in the first episode of this season when Homelander was sleeping and having a nightmare. The writers of this show often use foreshadowing like this in many episodes. It's cool they waited 3 episodes to bring it back.
At that point, I would’ve asked my coworkers to help me get it up before I get lasered 😂😂😂 17:40
FIRST!
This season hasn't been as good as the first three. I'm not saying it's bad. There's just more writing decisions I don't care for. That being said, everything with Sister Sage has been top fucking tier and Firecracker flipping it on Starlight is chef's kiss.
Heath Ledger's Joker and Antony Starr's Homelander, are two of the best live action villains we ever gotten.

man welded that red door shut.
those homelander scenes in the lab are probably my favorite scenes in the boys, never felt that kind of tension from a show before.
They kinda are telling us Kimiko is literally immortal by the end show she' gonna regenerate from an unbelievable injury.
He also sealed that red room door shut with his lasers and since that's a whole secret lab that only Vought is aware of, Barbara is pretty much trapped down there until she dies.
I've felt fear from Anthony Starr before but this was the episode that dead ass got me sweating from how he smiles now - what an insane actor.
